Flack/Monroe #2 - It's a Block Party Thing!

It was no problem putting the fanmix together. I had a lot of fun doing it. A lot of people helped me and they were just absolutely fantastic. I'm just sorry it took so long, especially since every so often I was like, "Yeah, tonight I'll put up the mix!" and then a month later it still wasn't up. *is embarrassed*

I'm just glad you guys like it. I've recieved only positive feedback so that's good.

I have a great idea for a fall-themed fic, and it's sorta cheesy and fluffy but that's okay. It would really be one of my first fluff fics (I tend to stick with angst) but I'm sure it will turn out great.

Random Question:
Since Flack will be back on duty after slowly recovering from his injury in 2.24, do you think he'll mention it at all? I mean, to Mac or anyone else on the team?
 
Yes, give the fluff a try.

Answer: I don't think he would mention it but if someone asked him would give a 'I'm fine. I'm getting better.' kind of answer. I'm sure Mac would discuss it with him. Since he was been in that type of situation before. And I think Lindsay wouldn't bother him with 'Are you fine?' kind of question. Figuring enought people would ask him that. Maybe she would just talk about her experience if she was to bring it up. (knowing that only he would understand)
 
Of course when I mentioned the labor day fic I was wondering what in the world do people actually do for labor day. For the past 5 years I have had a job where I worked holidays every year. For me it meant work. Speaking of work, has everyone esle been having a problem with fanfic.net?

Well I know the topic I want to talk about is FM but its the point I'm searching for. On some thread they were discussing what kind of car a CSI would have. Do you think either Flack or Lindsay would even have a car considering they both live in the city? ;) Wow, that is a really random question.
 
To the car thing. I think that usually, the CSIs and the detectives use the vehicles provided by the state for their work. I think Flack would know how to drive. But otherwise, being born in the city, I think Flack would just be used to the public transportation and use the subway or cabs if he needed to go someplace.

I think Lindsay would know how to drive as well; she's from Bozeman, Montana (it's the fifth largest city in the state, and one of the fastest growing counties). I think she'd have to know. I don't think she'd drive in the city though; I think she'd take full advantage of the public transportation just like Don.
 
ok FM randomness

I read a good fic about them getting together after having been working a year together like they are now. It was on someones LJ don't remember who's right this minute. Did you guys always picture them getting together right away? If you did why or why not a longer time period? And how long do you think it would take?

hmm, Good question.

I could see them getting together within a year, if not shorter or longer. I think it just depends on how they are in a relationship, really.
 
Personally, I don't see Flack and Lindsay getting together right away. It's too soon, if you look at it in S2 perspective. Aiden just got fired, and Flack and Aiden were close -- friends, if not on the verge of more, if you look at it in Flaiden vision. It's quite possible that Flack wouldn't really want to be friendly with Lindsay at first, because he would see her as Aiden's replacement, but after time she'd win him over and he'd like her quite a bit. But you know, I guess I'm okay with them getting together sooner if it's by accident -- the angsty fangirl inside of me loves drunk!angst.

I don't think the romantic feelings would start until the end of S2, or even afterwards. They'd know each other more, and [possibly] the bombing would bring them closer together. Maybe Lindsay goes to take care of him, or see him at the hospital after he wakes up. Maybe she's the only one who doesn't treat him like a piece of glass, and he likes that. Maybe maybe maybe.

Either way, I think they'd do well together.
 
It seems to me that as the season went on and we got more Flack and Lindsay scenes, the friendlier they got with each other. They definitely seemed more comfortable with each other. I think the fact that Eddie and Anna seem to get along off screen really started to show through during the last few scenes that they were in (during the last half of the season). Even when Lindsay told him bluntly that he needed to go and arrest Vackner in "SH," he seemed impressed with her---like 'hey, she's actually got a little fire in her!' :)
 
I think at first Flack would be kind of standoff-ish because he was close with Aiden, but if they got stuck with each other on a case, it's not like he could be mean to her, that wouldn't be very professional. So maybe at first he was kind of "fake" towards Lindsay, but as time went on he let his gaurd down more and more, little by little.
 
I don't think Flack is the kind of guy who would be fake. He values honesty too much to be a good liar about how he feels. I think he'd either openly show his resentment, ignore Lindsay completely, or just be sarcastic towards her. But then again, as shown by all the scenes with Danny and Lindsay, we all know that Lindsay can snark right back. I think Flack would like that, knowing that Lindsay wouldn't take anything lying down.
 
And I think we start to see a little of that snark tone between the two in the last few episodes. The scene in stealing home when she tell danny & flack its time to get the guy. But we also see their humor in COTP with their joking in the beginning.

But I think I know what Rad is talking about. I don't think Flack would be fake but he doesn't seem the kind to just welcome the new person with open arms. But set himself back (maybe a little closed off at first) until he gets to know the person. But won't be as childish as Danny to pick on her. ;)

I can't wait for the season to begin! :)

Okay, it looks like Flack and Linds will be working together or be on the same case in eps 1, 2, and 3. I hope to see them interact---I hope they carry some of those good vibrations that we got from the last ep of the year. I also heard that maybe Linds and Flack go and interview a suspect together in ep 3----but I can't be for sure it will make it into the ep. So how will they interact I wonder?

It better make it into the ep. We've been deprived you hear me? Deprived! .. *calms and sulks* Anyways, So their working together, They better work together. They deserve some scenes. *nods and goes back into her corner*

Them working together on the first 3 episode "ABOUT TIME" . I hope this time when the interview a suspect they work off each other's timing & strengths. Can't wait its going to be good to see them. ;)
 
::Comes out of hiding::They work together for the first thre eps? Thats awesome. All of Season two and they had like three scenes together! I hope they actually talk. Like interact and not just questioning a suspect.
