Flack # 7 - Everybody Loves A Hero

I noticed what you said about the end of the hostage situation. Flack said to get an EM to the place, and Lindsay, not even looking at Flack, said he will take care of him. It's weird cause half of the conversations those two had can be interpreted as if they don't like each other.

Also in the episode there was a weird feeling when Linsay cames to the warehouse, Flack doesn't even look at Lindsay when he says Danny didn't sound well. This could be a line for season 4, maybe Flack knew what happened and that the one supposed to be inside the warehouse was Lindsay and not Danny, so he blames her for wathever damage and sequels Danny may have.

Also is the fact that she treted Danny like s*** the whole season 3, and Flack, being not blind, realised. He, being the good friend he is, worries for his friend and hates the one that made him sad. And also is the fact that Danny and Don used to hang out together a lot, but since she came to NY, things changed and Flack may feel like he was displaced for her. I'd hate her if she took me away from a man like Danny...

Yeah, that's what I've noticed too. He seems to ignore or dismiss her in a lot of their scenes together. At first I thought it was just happenstance, but now there have been enough scenes with them that it makes me think there is some animosity there.

Also in the episode there was a weird feeling when Linsay cames to the warehouse, Flack doesn't even look at Lindsay when he says Danny didn't sound well. I think it could be that Flack might think his friend is too nice to this girl, who he might feel takes advantage of Danny (and she does sometimes--like in "Oedipus Hex" when she made Danny go deal with the mother). As a friend, I wouldn't like it if I saw a guy jerking one of my female friends around like that, so I think it would be natural for Flack to be protective. And I thought it was very interesting when he didn't even look at her--it was like he was trying to shut her out. And she did the same to him when she took charge of Danny.

Also is the fact that she treted Danny like s*** the whole season 3, and Flack, being not blind, realised. He, being the good friend he is, worries for his friend and hates the one that made him sad. Yeah, I could see Flack feeling that way. He's a good guy, but he clearly values his friendship with Danny a lot. Her coming between them might make him feel less than fond of her.

Yeah, I get the feeling that they do't like each other. I don't know why, but Top's probably right. Flack doesn't like the way she treats Danny. Bossing him around, standing him up, or maybe he's afraid that she'll come between them. (both in the slashy sense and the just friends sense) Either way, it's very obvious that there is tension between them, and hopefully we get an explanation.

Top, I think the fact the Flack didn't even look at Lindsay at the warehouse showed he just didn't have any patience or time left for her and that the situation at hand was much more important to him than her blabing. As you, me and others have said, Flack has increasingly tossed the polite formalities with being nice to Lindsay for Danny's sake and he is just telling it to her straight-Flack Style  a.k.a. no nonsense.

Crap, now I've got "straight up Flackie-style, yo!" stuck in my head. *scowls at you* Thanks a lot, hyburn. :p

Glad I'm not the only one picking up on the discord between Flack and Lindsay. I'd love to see that played up and explored next season. While it's nice to see the team members as friends, it's also nice to see a little rancor here and there. I think Eric and Ryan on Miami have a very interesting relationship--there's a fair amount of friction there, and the two are pretty competitive. I'd love to see Flack and Lindsay clash, whether it be personally (over how she treats Danny) or professionally (a case or something like that).

^ okay i guess I'll have to watch the epi again to see this but...

Flack was as always fantastic in this episode. I really love his sense of humor. He looks hot and... and.. and hot. I think Eddie did a good job the in the last season. I kinda couldn't stand his hair in season one but sice season two... olalal... He's a nice guy and I like him. It's an interesting character. I'd just like to know more about his backstory. I also love it that he and Danny are good friends even if we couldn't see it so often this year.

I find it interesting that people see a dislike of Lindsay in Flack. I've never had that vibe with him. I always thought he just didn't know her and therefore acted more professional as opposed to friendly toward her.

I have to say though, I think it would be a good road to explore to have them not get along. It'd be nice to see some conflict among the team that doesn't get resolved in an episode or two. Disliking someone you have to work with is more realistic than having everyone be one big happy family anyway. (i.e., Hodges on LV) And if they keep the Dindsay ship sailing, it'd be interesting to see what effect their dislike of each other would have on Danny and Flack's friendship. I speculate Danny'd dump Lindsay's ass if Flack obviously didn't like her, but that's just me. ;)

Perfectanomaly, I never used to either, like you i just used to think they were totally different and never really clicked, but then someone on here pointed it out and i just thought "WOAH"?!?!

She does manage to get is back up in season 2 and after that its all sort of downhill. I can't remember the episode name but its the one with the Doc and the doorwoman in the water tower. Lindsey is draining the water from the tower whilst Flack is giving Mac a run down and she says "We don't have water towers in Montana" IMO she says it in a very condesending (not sure if thats the word i'm looking for) way , Flack does reply to her, but i just get the feeling that it put his nose out of joint and from then on... he just couldn't get on with her.

He does make conversation but you just don't get the feeling that he actually wants to talk to her.
Sometimes i get that feeling between Flack and Hawkes, not in the later episodes but certainly season 2 and a lot of season 3.

I'd love for them to explore it, in a friendship test of Don and Danny or a slash way (personally i hope its the way, but thats just me!)

I have just become a flack fan! I just thought i'd annonce it to the group :) I have always thought yeah he ok but for some reson this week (watching FIVEus interview with him) I have just been blown away by him and how good looking he is and funny he is, so add me to the flack/eddie fan base. xx

I'm surprised at you, Fay, I would have thought that would have inspired slashy, tingly, feelings, and all that for ya.   ;)

All kidding aside, I was trying to say "straight--Flack-style" but whatever works... :p

I totally agree. It just so happens that they very rarely talk about their personal lives in front of each other, and when they do it's always about the differences between NY and Montana, probably because Flack is a true New Yorker. That episode with the water tank was season 2 episode 16 cool hunter (i don't know why i waste so much time on remembering stuff like that), and in the season 2 finale, Flack and Lindsay were talking about block parties. I think Flack thinks Lindsay's a bit boring compared to him self, and she's always stuck in a lab.

Oh, those needn't be inspired, dearie.

^^Feelings like that just happen naturally for some of us, eh, Fay. Ah, life is good in slasher land. :D :D
As for Flack and Lindsay, maybe it's just him being more professinal than friendly, but it might be that he doesn't like her. either way tptb need to explain it to us in the next season. That and give us more Flack Danny time like in Comes Around. That would be amazing.

I think they REALLY have to start showing some of flack love life in the next season, i mean he could have been married with kids this whole time and we wouldn't have known, and even ADAM had more about his love life (when he said that a suicide girl broke his heart).
