"I can't..."
Blue eyes growing dark, desperately searching her face for something,
anything that would betray her seeming indifference, the cool composure
she had to work so hard on to maintain.
A pair of brown eyes dropping down to a quivering lip, and even further,
to the hint of a collarbone underneath a silky blouse.
Blonde hair grazing her arm, swaying with the movement of the other woman's body
as she turned around and walked away.
A void of cold air where a body, offering warmth and comfort, offering
everything she knew she needed, had been only moments before.
A lifetime ago.
"I can't..."

Her voice- liquid silk soothing her pain

Her mind- providing a safe heaven amidst her confusion

She turns her back towards me. I see the scratches I left with my fingernails
I want to know what she is thinking but I don’t dare asking for fear she thinks we’re wrong
Of course she does but as long as she’s not saying it I can pretend
I want her to love me
But I've hurt her too much for her to ever trust or love me
Maybe this is her way to show me how I’ve made her feel, rejecting her
Still, she’s here, screams my name in ecstasy
Before she turns away from me
Leaving me to wonder

The land in which Sassy dreams come true
Is where I want to go with you.
Your perfect face makes my heart race
Every time that we embrace.
I want to hold you in the night
Take off your clothes by candle light.
When I see the lust in your eyes,
I know I'll be in for a surprise.
We will spend some passionate hours
And in the morning I'll pick you some flowers.
We belong together, by higher fate
I'll finish you off like you've never been laid.
