Thank you so much, LMH for that very sweet and thoughtful poem!! Loved it!! And your poem was very sweet as well, Jenna!!

Alrighty then, here's my own offering. This came to me today during a break from my revision course. It's kinda a symbol of hope for all the DuCaine fans who were feeling frustrated all season long with the lack of H/C scenes. But now, Ducaine is back and here to stay!!

Love is Eternal

For the longest time
I've felt the pull of regret,
The pain of missing you,
Of not being near you.

All the moments we shared
Could never fade away.
Your voice, your face,
I could never forget.

But that still doesn't mean
Your presence still doesn't overwhelm me,
Even after all this time
During our cold, cold distance.

Just seeing you sends my heart racing,
And a rush of memories floods through me...
Memories that could never be replaced
Or ever be forgotten.

Knowing that you are talking to me,
And I'm talking to you
Is all that matters,
There is nothing else in the world.

I never thought I'd see you again...
But you know what they say,
'Absence makes the heart grow fonder...'

Here's one inspired by the fact that I am a certified scuba diver, and so I made Jenna the same, except she has the same qualifications as Eric does. Enjoy!


Paradise

An underwater paradise
A ballet surrounded by love

Fish do it all the time
But we--we have to live above

To do this beautiful dance we love
We must bring our breath with us

All too soon our air runs out
And we must return to the surface

Peel our second skins off
Take a deep breath of fresh air

You grab my hand and pull me close
Point out the dolphins playing around us

I laugh and grin, wrapping my arms around you
You grin and pull me even closer

Our eyes close as our lips meet
Our bodies touch as our lips move together

The wonderful friction undoes our control
And we take each other higher in ecstacy

We take each other deeper and deeper
Into the darkest, deepest parts of our souls

Surround each other in our love
Our lust carries us deeper into our sin

as they do the dance.
Of lover's, of seduction,
across the midnight sand.

He takes her soaring,
into the night.
Twirling, and twisting her,
as their hearts fly high.

Floating now, up above,
he wraps her soul in his.
Whispering his love,
as the desire sinks in.

This is our Smacked,
this is their passion,
their sweetened trance,
once again in their dance.
