Ok, I guess we just get going with this round and hope things pick up in round #2.

Why I'm voting for this video: I like the use of clips to go with the song, this is a good video to capture the spirit of the theme, etc-etc-etc.
How can the video maker improve?: The video would be even better if the clips changed with the beat of the song, etc-etc-etc.

The above guidelines will help ensure that you're not just voting for your favorite show or characters, and the note about improving will make sure that the video maker is getting some good feedback for their efforts. Even those who don't win will still gain something from participating. :)

Wow! This was hard but I will go with number 01.

I'm voting for this as it fitted perfectly and really went well with the clips,It was timed well and the music was well fitted.

What was wrong???? Well...It did get a bit confusing but nothing that bad. I'm no pro so I can't say much.

But they were all very well made :) Liked muchos!

This was a hard choice, but here's my vote:

Video: # 03
Why I'm voting for this video: The song was a great choice for the subject matter and the editing was nicely done. It really expressed what CSI: Miami is about and it displayed all of the characters, a little bit of action, and of course a lot of crime-solving. :thumbsup:
How can the video maker improve?: There’s not really a lot of criticism that I can offer about the video, but I guess the only thing that would make it even better would be to have it last a bit longer and maybe finish the song out. I know that there were time constraints, but I really liked watching this video and I didn’t want it to end so soon. ;)

Why I'm voting for this video: I like the images chosen and how it explains the CSI work step by step.

How can the video makers improve? Honestly no clue, first because I have no idea of video making and second because the 3 videos were terrific, love the images composition and the music chosen on #1 and #3.

i would really hate to see our contestants hard work go to waste. we would really appreciate if people would vote, or get other people from the board to come in and vote. people expressed interest in this idea before, but if we cant maintain interest this type of competition wont be able to continue in the future

I'm voting for video #3.

Why? Well, I thought the choice of music was very appropriate and the video itself was well made, well edited, used a good choice and length of clip within it. It also sums up what I personally would have thought a 'This is CSI' video would be like, although my vote isn't based on interpretation of theme rather the overall video.

How could it be improved? No idea at all, I've no experience in these things. I'm not sure that it could be. :lol:

I just wanted to add that I watched all three videos more than once, and the choice of who to vote for was incredibly difficult because all three videos were seriously creative, fun and of outstanding quality.

I'm going to vote for Video #2.

Why? I found it entertaining, amusing even. It had a very light-hearted feel to it. It showed the whole scientific nature of the show, which, when you get right down to it, is what the show is about.

How could it improve? I don't really know. Maybe put in some voice clips? Sometimes it's the things they say that draw us in. For instance, Danny's "Boom" is just a part of him. However, it's just an idea because I had to say something :lol:

Everyone did a great job, and this was a very hard choice.

Well, this was hard to pick. I liked all of them. The three that created these videos, very talented and they should all be commended.

But since I can only pick one: for the theme "This is CSI" I'm going for Video #2

I like the light heartedness, going through all the aspects of what a CSI is, showing the cast also.

What would I change? Nothing really, but I liked Dragonflydreamer's idea, maybe putting in some of the dialogue.

I am interested in this challenge, but I have never made a video before and I need to mess around with it. Besides after seeing these three videos, I'd be waaaayyyy out of their league. :(

Damn this was hard. My vote goes to video no. 2. Nice and fun video. I liked how firstly it presented the team at their fun moments and afterwards crime solving in simple steps. The music was nice, well chosen, fun relaxing, and it went well with the choice of clips.
I don't have anything really to criticize. Great work everyone! Thank you for posting!

Why I'm voting for this video: I'm voting for this because of how well the clips fit with the music...It must have taken a long time!

How can the video maker improve?: I know it works well but because of the speed and how many clips and effects the maker has used you sometimes miss what the clip was and while you are wondering who the character is you miss a few more clips ;)

Ok, we have 2 votes for video #01, 2 votes for video #03 and 4 votes for video #02--so video #02 is our winner for this round. I'll have to check with allmaple about who made the video--still a few kinks to work out, apparently. :lol:

The maker of video #02 will choose the theme of the second round, and he or she will post the information and rules for the round in this thread (please see the first theme post for guidelines). :)

ETA: Ok, I got in touch with allmaple, so:

Our winner this round is nattybatty55, and subterraneantwin and speed_cochrane tied for second place. You guys can let us know how you'd like the video descriptions on YouTube to be edited (to add your name/a link to your YouTube profile/etc).

nattybatty55, you can go ahead and post the details for the upcoming challenge whenever you're ready--use the guideline of approximately a week for the deadline, and we'll see if it needs to be extended as time goes on. :)
