Lilly smirked and looked down at the table and then back up, "Is that a good thing?" she started. "Or a bad thing?"
 
"At first I thought it was a bad thing" Eric began softly. "But the further under my skin you get, the better it feels so I guess it's now a good thing" His voice was quiet and gentle as he looked over into her eyes again.
 
Lilly nodded, "But techincally its still a bad thing." she said as she looked into his eyes. "Your still with my sister."
 
Eric closed his eyes and sighed. He didn't want to have to think about that. He was torn about what to do. Was he attracted to Lilly because he saw Maxine in her? The Maxine he'd originally fallen in love with?
 
Eric snapped out of his thoughts and looked back at her. "Sorry baby" he muttered, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "What um... happens now?" he asked, falling over his words a little and realising with surprise that he was actually nervous.
 
Eric sighed and shook his head a little. "I don't know, I'm confused" He looked down at their hands and looked uo at her again sadly. "Can we not talk about this today? I want to today to be our day, just the two of us being together. Is that ok?" He asked gently, not wanting to push her.
 
Lilly thought for a second and then nodded, "Sure." she said softly. It kinda bugged her not knowing what was going to happen. But one look at him and she didn't really care. All rational thought went out the window.
 
Eric laughed a little. "Considering you were saying how important eating was, you haven't even looked at the menu" He teased, squeezing her hand a little.
 
Lilly rolled her eyes, "Fine." she said as she took her hand away from his and opened up the menu, she glanced at it and then looked back up at Eric, "happy?"
 
Eric shook his head and smirked. He reached over and took her hand again. "Now I am" He smiled, waving the waitress over and giving her his order.
 
Lilly smiled and tore her eyes away from him long enough to place her order with the waitress and then looked back at him. Her heart doing flip flops again.
 
Eric was silent for a few moments, his head trying to figure out his many thoughts. "I want the best for you, you know that right?" He suddenly blurted out, blushing slightly when he realised that he'd sa5d 5t -4t 364d.
