*meanwhile*
Heather:SPEED!!!!!
*Speed was talking to Alexx when he heard Heather calling him*
Alexx:best not keep her waiting unless you want to end up like Eric did.
Speed:good point...i'll come back when you have a moment
Alexx:awww....i always have a moment for my little Timmy *smiles*
Speed: *smiles*

*Speed went to see what Heather wanted*
Speed:hey babe what is it?
Heather:i got a break in the case....*and Heather explained what she figured out*

*Speed left and Heather was about to go talk to Alexx who was about 10 feet away when all of a sudden someone carrying a big heavy box accidentally knocked her to the floor and she hit her head on the floor. a huge gash appeared where her head hit the floor and Alexx came runnign over as she heard Eric rambling*
Eric:eek:h my god Heather i'm so sorry! i didn't see you there!! i just *alexx cut him off*
Alexx:help me get her down to the autopsy theater so i can stich her up.
eric:eek:k. and Heather i really am sorry. i just hope i didn't hurt the baby....
*Speed saw Alexx and Eric helping Heather up and came running over*
Speed:Heather! oh my god! babe are you ok?
Heather:yeah i'm fine....Eric just accidentally knocked me down. but i'm ok.
Speed:you sure?
Heather:yes....*Eric and Speed were watchign Alexx sticth up Heather and just as Alexx had finished Heather grabbed her stomache in pain*
Heather:eek:h god.....
Speed:Heather? babe what's wrong? is it the baby?
Heather:uh huh...
Alexx:baby how far along are you?
Heather:nine months...*she moans in pain*
Speed:uh ok....uuuhhh. Eric, Alexx help me get her to a hummer!
*They were on thier way out when H saw them*
H:is everything ok?
Speed:no. Heather's having the baby. we have to get her to the hospital.
H:i'll drive..
Speed:eek:k. lets go!

*At the hospital*
*Ryan, Calleigh ans Natalia had met up with them and were waitng anxiously with Alexx and H, as Speed was in the delivery room with Heather*
Ryan:this so exciting
Calleigh:i know!
Natalia:so what do you think it is? a boy or a girl? i think it's a boy
Calleigh:uhhh...girl
Eric:boy
Ryan:girl
Alexx:i think she's having a little girl
H:well it doesn't matter because they'll be loved either way...but just for fun i'll say a girl as well

*several hours later*
*Speed came out with a big smile on his face*
Speed:everything went perfect and we have a beautiful little girl named Megan Rose Speedle.
Alexx:eek:h that's great!
*Everyone got thier turn to go see Heather and Megan*


*Later*
Ryan:i'm happy for Speed and Heather
Eric:me too. but it;s kinda hard to pictur Speed as a dad
Ryan:well we'll just have to get used to it.
Eric:yeah i guess so.
*they kiss*

*A few weeks later*
Ryan:hey babe.....what would you say if i told you i wanted to adopt a kid?
Eric:you really want to adopt a kid?
Ryan:yeah
Eric:i like the idea.
Ryan:really?
Eric:yeah. plus we'll be doing some good to give some poor little orphan a home.
Ryan:yeah. ok i'll make the arrangements to meet with a social worker *he makes the call and returns several minutes later*
Ryan:she said to meet her at that little cafe on the corner if Fifth and Flagler.
Eric:eek:k.

*the next day at the cafe*
Social Worker:eek:k what age group were you looking at?
Ryan:what do oy u think Eric?
Eric:i don't know....around 5 or 6 maybe? i think it might be easier that way
Ryan:yeah that sounds good.
Social Worker:eek:k here's one...*she takes out a file and shows them a picture* this is Emma. *they look at the picture...Emma had beautiful meduim length brown hair with beautiful green eyes* she was abandoned and left on the orphanage doorstep six years ago. she's never had a mother or father in her life so i think she'll be open to having two dads.
Ryan:that's awful.
Eric:yeah. and she's adorable.
*Ryan and Eric were whispering to each other*
Ryan:eek:k we want to adopt Emma.
Social Worker:eek:k well here are the forms. and then we'll do a review and inspection to see if the living conditions are good and then if all that goes well you can take Emma home in a few weeks.
Eric:thank you....
*they fill out the forms*
Social Worker:eek:k i will be over in a few days for the inspection.
Ryan:eek:k thanks...
*they head to the lab*
Eric:it'll be great if we get to adopt Emma.
Ryan:yeah. and i feel so bad...not having parents in her life. hopefully we can fill that void for her.
Eirc:yeah and we can fix up the spare room.

*at the lab*
*Eric and Ryan told thier plans to Speed and Heather*
Heather:eek:h that's great! i really hope you get to adopt Emma!
Speed:yeah
*Alexx over heard*
Alexx:Ryan baby why didn't you and Eric tell me you wanted to adopt a kid?
Ryan:we were about to.
Eric:yeah. but anyways *he showed Alexx a picture of Emma and told Alexx about her life so far*
Alexx:eek:h that's awful.
Ryan :yeah. i just really hope that we get to adopt her.


*a few weeks later*
Social Worker:well i have some good news! we are allowing you full custody to Emma.
Ryan:that's great!
Eric:this is wonderful!
Social Worker:you can pick up Emma today.

*later at the orphanage*
Social Worker:this is Emma...
Ryan:hi Emma.
Eric:hello Emma.
Emma:hi. are you gonna be my new dads?
Ryan:yep. you get to come home with us.
Eric:we'll take good care of you.
Emma:i really get to come home with you? for real?
Ryan:yep.
Emma:and i'll never have to come live here again?
Eric:nope never
Emma:yay! come on! lets go!
Ryan:eek:k
*they go to the front desk and make it offical*
Social Worker:Emma you are now offically adopted. and your new last name is....*to Eric and Ryan* do you want it to be Wolfe-Dleko? or Delko-Wolfe?
Eric:i think Delko-Wolfe has a nice ring to it.
Ryan:yeah
Socail Worker:eek:k. Emma...your offical name is now Emma Rose Delko-Wolfe.
Ryan:ready to go to your new home?
Emma:yeah!
*on the way home*
Eric:so Emma...we have a room for you. and we'll take you shopping tomorrow for stuff to put in it and new clothes and toys.
Emma:yay!
Ryan:it's just a plain white room with a bed right now but we'll fix it up tomorrow.
Emma:eek:k.

*they get home* *Emma is amazed by the medium sized two floor condo*
Emma:wow! it's so big!
Ryan:it's not that big...but it's big enough.
Eric:come on let's get you settled.
*They get Emma settled in*
Emma:so what am i supposed to call you?
Ryan:well you can just plain out call me daddy...or dad..which ever you prefer...
Eric:and i have a Cuban background....and so it doesn't get confusing...you can call me papi. which is spanish for dad.
Emma:eek:k.

*it was getting late*
*they got Emma settled into bed* *she adjusted to the surroundings quickly and quickly adapted to calling Eric and Ryan, Papi and daddy.
Ryan:good night
Eric:good night
Emma:night daddy....night papi.
*Eric and Ryan smiled*

*the next day Eric and Ryan took Emma shopping for a new bed and paint to paint her room but they decided to let Alexx, Calleigh and Natalia take her clothes shopping seeing as they knew nothing about shopping for clothes for little girls*
Ryan:eek:k Emma...what color do you want your room?
Emma:uhhhh.....Pink!
Eric:eek:k sweetheart pink it is!
*they take three cans of the shade of pink Emma picked out and put in in the carriage*
Eric:eek:k...i don't think you want that icky plain bed that's already in the room do you?
Emma:no.
Ryan:eek:k come on....*they took her to a service desk were they had catolouges(sp?) of beds and once you picked the one you wanted they went into the back warehouse and got it and helpped you put it in your car when you were ready to leave. they let Emma flip through it.
Emma: hey papi, daddy can i get this one?
*they look at the one she picked out....a pretty white one that resembled something of a princess' bed*
Ryan:eek:f course you can sweetie
Eric:sure. it'll match the pink.
Emma:yeah! and can we get some sheets and stuff to match?
Ryan:eek:f course....*thy got matching pink and white sheets and comfortor set for her bed*
Eric:eek:k.....i think that's all oyu'll need for now....later some good friends of ours are going to take you clothes shpping and toy shopping.
Emma:are you coming with me?
Ryan:we're going to stay home and fix up your room...ok?
Emma:eek:k.
*they went home....Ryan and Eric prepared to fix up Emma's room. they moved all the furniture and began to piant as Alexx, Calleigh and Natalia took her shopping*
Eric:*giggles*
Ryan:what?
Eric:you're a** is pink
Ryan:wha? *he looked and realized that he leaned agains the wall and got his jeans dirty.*
*They finished painting as Emma, Alexx, Calleigh and Natalia returned with many bags of clothes and toys.
Calleigh:here's the change from the money you gave us for the stuff.
Ryan:hey sweetie did you hav fun?
Emma:yeah! loads of fun!!
Eric:good i'm glad.....and do you want to see your room? we finished painting.
Emma:yeah! *they showed Emma her room* I love it! thank you daddy! thank you Papi!
Eric:you're welcome sweetie.
Ryan:you don't mind sleeping on the couch do you sweetie? just till tomorrow when the room is dry and we can put in your bed and stuff?
Emma:no i don't mind
Eric:eek:h and we got you a dresser and a toy chest for your clothes and toys.
Emma:yay!!!
Alexx:well we have to get going...
Eric and Ryan:thanks so much!
Natalia:no problem.

*they left*

*later tha night Eric fixed up the couch for Emma*

Emma:yeah!
Ryan:and we're happy that you like it here and we're happy to give you a home and all our love....night sweetie

Emma:night daddy, night Papi....*she gently drifted off to sleep then Eric and Ryan went to bed too....*

*Emma went in to see her new room. Shee looked around and saw pretty pink walls with a matching white border with little pink hearts. and then she looked at her pretty new bed with matching sheets, pillowcase and comforter. she looked inside her dresser and closet to see all her new clothes and then looked in her toy chest at all her new toys. her face light up with a big smile*
Emma:i love it! thank you!
Eric:you're welcome
Ryan:were glad you like it....

*later*
*Speed and Heather came over with Megan*
*Eric answered the door*
Eric:hey guys....
Heather:hey...*Speed and Heatehr saw a little girl about 6 years old peek out from around the corner*
Emma:papi, who is it?
Eric:these are some good friends of mine and daddy's. Emma, this is Speed, Heather and thier daughter Megan
Heather:Hi Emma.
Emma:hi....
*Ryan came over*
Ryan:hey guys what are you doing here?
Speed:we came to meet Emma. she's adorable.
*Emma smiled at the compliment*
Heather:so Emma do you like it here?
Emma:eek:h yes! i love it so much! it way better than that orphanage. and my Daddy and Papi fixed up a room just for me! wanna see it?

*Emma led them into her new pink room*

Emma:i love it here. Daddy and Papi are the greatest!

Emma:it's so big!! with all the big buildings!! it's amazing!! *Eric and Ryan lived in and upscale neighborhood right in downtown Miami about five minutes away from the lab*
H:*looked at his watch* well it's getting late i better get going....it was nice meeting you Emma.
Emma:nice meeting you too.
Ryan:eek:k time for little girls to get to bed.
Emma:awww daddy do i have to?
Ryan:yes....
Emma:papi?
Eric:daddy's right time for bed.....

the only reason it wrote it in spanish is because that is pretty much thier code to talk dirty to each other with out Emma over hearung and understanding what they are saying :D next time i'll put the translation in parenthesis :D

*Emma dashed downstairs and ran to the front door where Ryan and Eric were waiting*

*they saw the bus coming and they walked outside*
Eric:have a good first day *he hugged her*
Ryan:be good honey *he hugger her*
Emma:bye daddy, bye papi! *she waved as she walked onto the bus*
*Eric wrapped his arm around Ryan as they watched the bus drive away*
Eric:hey querido(...we have the day off....and Emma doesn't get home till 3 :devil:
