H:eek:k Calleigh you and I will go check out Mr. Johnson's story. Eric, Mr. Wolfe, I want you two to go process the scene.
Eric:you got it H. Let's go Wolfe. Ryan:eek:k, i'll get my kit.
*Calleigh and H leave* *Ryan returns with is kit*
Ryan:eek:k let's go.

*at Mr. Johnson's*
H: Mr. Johnson?
Mr. Johnson:yes?
Calleigh: I'm CSI Calleigh Duquesne and this is Lt. Horatio Caine, we're with the crimelab.
H:I understand you called in a homicide down the street.
Mr. Johnson:yeah, i was walking and i saw that guy just lying there. so i called it in.
H: did you see anything suspicious?
Mr. Johnson: no.
H: ok thank you. we'll be in touch. *Mr. Johnson closes the door*
Calleigh:somethings up with that guy.

*at the crime scene*
Eric:hey Wolfe, check this out. blood trail.
Ryan:killer could've dragged the vic here.
Eric:yeah but how far?
Ryan:don't know.
*Later at the lab*
Eric:Wolfe! did you check everything thoroughly?
Ryan:yeah i did Delko. i just don't have the results yet.
Eric:eek:k, but i just know that Speed could've had the results by now.
Ryan:Look Delko. I'm not trying to replace Tim Speedle. I just want to do a good job. and ever since i got here you treated me like dirt! why?
Eric:why? you want to know why? it's because i like you! and it's the fact that i can't have you!
Ryan:you like me?
Eric:yes, ever since you got here. I like you. i just want to be with you. but i know you have the hots for Calleigh.
Ryan:no i don't have the hots for her. i have the hots for you. but i didn't make a move because i thought you liked Calleigh.
Eric:no I only pretended to like her. to hide my true feelings for you. Ryan ,I love you.
Ryan:eek:h Eric. I love you too.
*they hug and kiss passionatly*
Eric:eek:h Ryan. I'm so sorry for everything! except for one thing.
Ryan:what?

Ryan:eek:h, Eric. I'm gald for that too.
*They kiss*

Eric:me too, but we can't keep writing notes using our full initials. we don't want H and the others to find out yet.
Ryan:yeah, hey, why don't we use our first inital and our middle name initial? that way they would think it was the initails of a girlfriend or something.
Eric:that could work. ok, mine would be E.C. for Eric Carlos. and your middle name is David right?
Ryan:yeah, so mine would be R.D. *looks at his watch* we better get to the lab

*at the lab*
*Paula, the secretary, is at the front desk as usual*
Ryan:hi Paula can i get my messages?
Paula:sure. *she hands him a note*
*Calleigh comes over and silently reads the note as Ryan silently reads it for himself*
*it reads:
Ry,
Club Canvas. 8:00pm
meet me at the bar. see you then

P.S. I love you*
Calleigh:eek:ooh who's E.C.? Girlfriend?
Ryan:that's none of your business.
Calleigh:eek:k, geez! I can't help it. i'm naturally curious.
*as Ryan walks away he doesn't notice that he dropped the note and Calleigh picks it up with a smirk on her face*
*later Eric walks over to the front desk*
Eric:Hey Paula. do i have any messages?
Paula:yep, here you go. *Eric takes the note*
*Calleigh once again buts in and reads it*
*it says:
Eric,
Club Canvas sound great!
see you then! Can't wait!

Calleigh:eek:ooh R.D?
Eric:but out Calleigh.
*Eric accidentally drops the note as he walks away Calleigh picks it up and something about it seems farmiliar. she compares it to Ryans note and her eyes widen in shock as she makes the connection*
*she tells Horatio her suspicions*
H:do you have any hard evidence?
Calleigh:i had QD examine the notes. Ryan's note was written by Eric and Eric's note was written by Ryan.
H:yes but those aren't Eric's initials, are you sure QD didn't make a mistake?
Calleigh:no, Oh of course!!! Eric's middle name is Carlos!!
H:E.C is Eric Carlos.
Calleigh and Ryan's middle name is David! R. D is Ryan David! should we confront them?
H:no they'll tell us when they are ready to.
Calleigh:can we at least make sure? we could follow them to the club.
H:eek:k, even though it's against my better judgement, i'm very curious.

*at the club in a private room H and Calleigh open the door just enough to see* *they see Ryan and Eric in a very compromising position*
Calleigh:eek:h god! Horatio! are they doing what i think they are?!?
H:*ahem* yeas it appears that way.
Calleigh:eek:h god, Horatio lets go i don't want to watch Eric and Ryan, you know...have sex.
H;uh, yeah. me either. *they leave*
*meanwhile in the room*
Eric:eek:h god Ry!!
Ryan:eek:k lets switch*they switch spots*
Ryan:eek:h Eric!! *He moans with pleasure*
Eric:lets take this to my place
Ryan:eek:k
*they go to Eric's and head to the bedroom, stripping clothes along the way*

*Ryan is alone at the crime scene working a small case while Eric, Natalia, Calleigh and H work on a triple homicide over in Coral Gables*
*Ryan is taking photos when all of a sudden...*
Ryan:ahhhh!! *the attacker puts his hand over Ryan's mouth to muffle his screams*
*He drags Ryan into the back of a van and ties up his hands covers his eyes and gags him*
Mysterious Attacker:try to get away and you'll never see the light of day again.

*At the other crime scene*
Eric:I'm going to call Ryan and see if he needs help.
H:eek:k, if he does need help ,eric, you can go help him because Calleigh, Natalia and I can handle this one.
Eric:eek:k H
*Eric dials Ryan's cellphone number*
*No answer..it wasn't like Ryan to trun off his phone at a scene*
Eric:H he's not picking up, his phone's off. I'm going to make sure something bad didn't happen.
H:eek:k, call me as soon as you know something.
Eric: will do H.
*Eric heads to Ryan's crime scene*
*He gets there and something isn't right. he thinks to himself, there's the hummer and his kit and the camera but where is he?*
Eric:Ry!! Ryan!!! *He looks everywhere calling his name*
RYAN!! Where are you!? Ry, please don't scare me like this! Ry!! Ry, Babe where are you!? *His worst fear has been realized. Ryan has been kidnapped*
*Eric frantically calls H*
*On the phone*
Eric:*talking fast and frantic* H!! I can't find Ryan anywhere!! he's gone!! but all his stuff is here! I can't find him!!
H:whoa, Eric....Eric calm down. now what happened?
Eric:I don't know! i got here and Ryan is gone! but the hummer is here along with his kit!
H:eek:k We'll be there as soon as we can!
*Eric hangs up and slumps to the floor with is head in his hands. Ryan, the person who means the most to him in the whole world is gone!!*
*Back in the Gables*
Calleigh:Horatio? what's wrong?
H:guys, Ryan has been kidnapped.
Natalia:Oh my god, who would do that?
H:I don't know but *puts on sunnies* we've got to find him
ok this is first priority! lets move people!
*they head over to the crime scene to find Eric in a huge emotional wreck*
H: Eric, it's going to be ok.
Eric:we've just got to find him, H!
H:eek:k. i know. we will.
*Back at the lab Eric was slumped in a chair with his head in his hands*
Calleigh:we'll find him Eric. *He looks up at her. she knew he would never admit it, but she knew he had been crying because he had tear stains running down his face*
Natalia:yeah, but why all the sudden concern?
Eric:what are you talking about?
Natalia:it's just i always thought that you never really liked him that much because he came here and replaced Speedle. i mean you never really treated him nicely.
Eric:No. I don't hate him. actually it's....it's just complicated, ok?
Natalia:complicated how?
Eric:I might as well just let it out. H, Cal. I've got something to tell you guys. since there's going to be no way of avoiding this. Ryan and I are uh... how shall i say this, more than just friends. Guys, Ryan and I are lovers.
H: I know.
Eric:wait. you know? How?
Calleigh: I know too.
Eric:does anyone else know?
H:no. we never told a soul
Eric:well how'd you find out?
Calleigh:we uh followed the two of you to a club and saw you...uh yeah.

*meanwhile*
*Ryan is dragged into a back room and his blind fold and hand ties are taken off. Ryan's eye widen in shock as he sees who had kidnaped him.

Ryan:You? but why?
Mysterious kidnapper:why? to get revenge on Horatio, on the lab. but most of all on Eric. He nearly caused me to lose my job
*Ryan tries to run for it but the kindnapper hits him in the face with a gun and makes a huge gash across his cheek. it starts to bleed profusely. the kidnapper ties him back up and pushes him to the floor. he kicks Ryan hard in the head causing him to slump over unconsious*

*Back at the scene*
*H's phone rings*
mysterious kidnapper:if you ever want to see him again i want $500,000 by tomorrow. or he dies.
H:who is this!?
Mysterious kidnapper:you're the damn CSIs. you tell me.
*the kidnapper hangs up*
Eric:who was it H!
H:he wants $500,000 by the end of tomorrow. or....
Eric:eek:r what...H?
H:eek:r he dies.
Eric:what!? H we have to find him!!!
H:we will. i had Cooper recording the whole call. we have his voice. we can compare ti with those that we know have a grudge. but that voice. i've heard it before. i just can't put my finger on it
Eric:we'll never find him *For once in his life he actually cried in front of someone other than Ryan. he just couldn't help it. he knew there was no hope. H just put his hand on Eric's shoulder. and reassured him*
H:we'll find him Eric.
*Eric just continued to cry*

*Ryan awoke with his head throbbing from where his kidnapper kicked him adn his vision was very hazy. his kidnapper walked in*
Kidnapper:well well well. awake are we?
*his hands and were still tied up but his mouth was not covered anymore*
Ryan:you won't get away with this!
Kidnapper:we'll see about that. no i have to do some errands.
Ryan:you better not hurt them!!!
Kidnapper:eek:h you'll be the only one getting hurt if your little CSI friends can't get me the ransom by the end of the day. no shut up!
Ryan:make me you slimeball!!
Kidnapper:gladly! *he hits Ryan and creates a huge gash in Ryan's arm, kicked him in the stomache, then he broke his right arm so bad the bone stuck out of his arm and he just laughed as Ryan screamed in pain and he began to turn white from the excessive blood loss. the his kidnapper kicked him heard in the head again. this time leaving another huge gash on the side of his right cheek Ryan passed out from the force*
*at the lab listening to hundreds of recordings trying to find Ryan's kidnapper but so far nothing*
Calleigh:what does that voice sound so farmiliar!?
Natalia:I swear i've heard it before.
H:i know. i just can't pin it to a name.
*Eric was sitting at a table with his head in his hands, he then looked up*
Eric:cooper. play the phone call again.
Copper:sure thing Delko
*he plays it again*
Eric:uggghhh! i know that voice! but i can't put my finger on it!!!
*At that moment Stetler walked in*
Stetler:Horatio...
*the team gasps as they realize who kidnapped thier friend*
Eric:it's you!
Stetler:excuse me?
Eric:you kidnapped Ryan!!
Stetler:i what?
H:thanks to you we have proof!
Stetler:Horatio, you are insane. why would i kidnapp one of your CSIs?
H:why don't you tell me
Stetler:you don't have proof.
H:eek:h really?
*he plays back the phone call*
Stetler:eek:k. i did it. to get back at all of you! you all made my job so hard and Delko! you nearly cost me my job!
Eric:*he slammed Stetler against a wall* Where is Ryan!!!
Stetler:you're the CSIs. you figure it out.
H:where is he Rick!!! Is he ok?!?
Stetler:Fine!!!! he's locked in a house on Coconut Drive! but you might want to hurry he doesn't have much life left in him *He said evily*
H:eek:k. *He took Stetler's badge and gun* officer take him. *the officer handcuffed Stetler and took him away*
H:eek:k lets hurry!
*they all jumped in hummers and headed to the house Stetler told them the address of*
*Eric ran inside*
Eric:Ryan!?!?
*they heard muffled sound from a back room and hurried in*
*Calleigh covered her mouth in shock as she stared at a very pale beaten Ryan*
Eric:*he ran to aid him* Ryan! oh my god!
H:he's losing to much bloodto wait for an ambluance! lets get him to the hummer!! *Eric and H helped him stagger out but they stopped suddenly as they say Ryan's face. He was about to be sick* *They held him up as he began to vomit blood* *they hurried and put him in the back with Eric. Natalia and Calleigh drove the other hummer back to the lab to pick up Alexx*
*H turned on the siren and lights*
H:Ryan, hold on.
*Ryan swayed and vomited more blood*
Eric:Ryan, babe. hold on.
*Ryan's eyes began to roll into the back of his head as he went into shock*
Eric:H! he's going into shock! hurry up!! *to Ryan* babe stay with me. please hold on *he held Ryan's hand*
H;ok! we're here!!! *H and Eric hurried up and the doctors came out with a gurney*
Doctor:eek:k lets move it!!
*they rushed Ryan to the ER*
*H and Ryan went to the waiting room. there was nothing more they could do* Alexx arrived with Natalia and Calleigh*
Alexx:eek:h Horatio how is he?
H:eek:n time will tell.
*they sat down*
*Eric just began to cry*
*the doctor came out. to everyone's horror he was covered in blood*
Doctor:he faced major trauma to his head and abdomen.
H;is he going to be ok?
Doctor:his heart stopped *the team gasped* but we were able to get a rythm back. we fixed his arm and stiched him up. he had massive internal bleeding and his stomache lining was torn which is why he was vomiting blood. we fixed that. however he may have hemmoraging int the brain. if he does he may never be the same. but we still need to run tests. he's consious, and you can see him if you want. but one at a time.
H:thank you doctor.
Calleigh:Eric, you should go in first.
Eric:eek:k.
*he goes in*
Eric:hey babe. *he hold his hand*
Ryan:*weakly* h-hey.
Eric:i was so scared. i don't know what would've happened if i lost you. Ryan, babe, i love you so much
Ryan:*weakly* i..i..i love you too.

Alexx:no one knows for sure baby. but Ryan's strong. he'll fight this.

*Calleigh goes in to see him*
Calleigh:Ryan? Ryan, it's calleigh.
Ryan:Cal?
Calleigh:uh huh. i'm here. and everyone else is here to see you. Horatio, Alexx, all of them. now you just get some rest.
*she walked out as Alexx walked in*
Alexx:eek:h Ryan, baby!
Ryan:A-alexx?
Alexx:how are you feeling?
Ryan:i can't really feel anything.
Alexx:eek:k, baby. just get some rest now.
*she walks out and H walks in*
H:Ryan? it's Horatio.
Ryan:H?
H:yeah. so uh how are you feeling?
Ryan:i can't......*Ryan began to have seizures*
H:Ryan?!? Some one get the doctor!! *to Ryan* Ryan, stay with me. Ryan?
*Alexx returned with the doctor*
Doctor:eek:k, lets move it people!!
*H walked out into the waiting room*
Eric:eek:h god. *Eric slumped into a chair and began to sob uncontrolably*
*in the room*
*Ryan's siezures became more violent and he began to vomit more blood. the machine beebed*
Doctor:he's flatlining!!!
*ten minutes later*
Nurse:he's been down too long, just call it.
Doctor:no! we've got to keep trying! give me an amp if intercardiac epi!! *he took the needle and jammed it into his heart* we got a rythm!! some one get me a ventialtor!!
*they cleanded Ryan back up and put him on the ventilator*
*the doctor came to break the bad news*
H:how is he?
Doctor:his heart stopped but we got a rythm back and i'm sorry to say this but he's in a coma and on a ventilator. it doesn't look good. i don't think he'll survive the night.
Eric:can i see him?
Doctor:yes. you may see him.
*Eric walks in and sits next to Ryan's bed. he begins to cry as he sees all the machines keeping Ryan alive. he holds his hand as he gently whispers to Ryan*
Eric:Ry, babe, please be ok. please. *Eric bows his head and cries*

Eric:no, i'm not leaving him. i want to be here incase...incase he doesn't make it. i want to be here holding his hand if it happens.
H:eek:k.

*The next day*
*Eric is holding Ryan's hand when all of a sudden Eric felt him squeeze his hand*
Eric:*looked up hopefully* Ry? babe?
*Ryan couldn't say anything because of the tube but he looked at Eric*
Eric:Ry! oh my god! Ry, hold on.
*Eric runs into the waiting room where H, Alexx, and Calleigh were waiting*
Eric:guys! Ryan's awake!!
H:what!?
*Eric gets the doctor and they all head into the room*
Doctor:*examines Ryan* this is just shocking! his charts showed that he wouldn't survive the night! *To Ryan* ok, Ryan i'm going to remove the tube ok? now i need you to take a deep brathe and exhale when i say so ok?
Ryan:*nods*
Doctor:eek:ne...two...three *Ryan exgales and the doctor pulls out the tube*
Ryan:*coughs* E-eric?
Eric:i'm here babe. *he holds his hand*
*the doctor leaves the room*
Alexx:eek:h baby, i'm glad you're ok!
Ryan:*weakly* thanks. i'm glad you guys found me.
H:so am i.

*A few weeks later*
*Ryan walks out of the elevator, arm in a sling and several visible stiches on his face*
Calleigh:hey! you looks great!
Ryan:who are you trying to kid. haha.
Calleigh:well better than you did.
Ryan:thanks Cal.
*H walks over*
H:hey welcome back.
Ryan:thanks guys.
*Ryan walks into the fingerprint lab*
Ryan:hey babe.
Eric:hey there you are.
Ryan:it's nice to be back.
Eric:it's nice to have you back. i missed you.
Ryan:but we live together.
Eric:i now. i mean here at the lab. things seemed so lonely without you.
*they hug*

H:Ryan, are you sure you're ready for this? i mean two weeks ago you were in a coma and the doctor said you might have some memory problems.
Ryan:H, i'm fine. really.
H:well ok. you'll be working with Eric. he'll fill you in.
Ryan:eek:k H.

*Ryan goes to see Eric and Eric fills him in on the details*
Eric:hey Ry?
Ryan:yeah?
Eric:i'm glad you're back.
Ryan:me too. now lets get cracking on this case!
Eric:eek:k.

*they go over all the evidence and dicuss their findings with H*
H:eek:k so what have you two got?
Ryan:the paint Eric found on the side of the victim's car is from a Fire Red Corvette.
Eric:yeah. and i got some prints off the door. they belong to a MR. John Richards.
H:well lets bring Mr. Richards.

*PD picks him up and H interrigates him*
H:now Mr. Richards we have sufficuent evidence that say you ran Sarah Johnson off the road and then killed her.
Mr. Richards:so what if i did. no one cares that she's dead!
H:you know what we call that? we call that a confession. take him.
*H walks out into the hall*
H:Nice work Ryan, Eric.
Ryan:thanks H.
*H walks away*
Eric:hey. want to do something? we're off the clock.
Ryan:yeah. i could use a beer.
Eric:sounds good
*they head to the bar and ordere two beers*
Eric:we haven't done this in a while.
Ryan:yeah. i missed it.
*htye sit there and drink their beer and cointinue to talk*
Eric:you know, i don't know what i would've done if i'd lost you.
Ryan:what do you mean?
Eric:when you were in the hospital. you nearly died. i was so worried that i was on the verge of a breakdown.
Ryan:Eric, i love you
Eric:i love you too, Ry. and i never want these feelings to change. ever.
Ryan:me either.
*they head home*
Ryan:hey Eric.
Eric:yeah?
Ryan:i talked to the doctor today. and i can get my stiches out tomorrow.
Eric:that's great!
*they got dressed into their pajamas and went to sleep*
