I still think Greg would be an excellent supervisor. He has the smarts and the overall cool control to do that job.

I agree, Dizzney. He would be fair too, because he knows what it is like to work his way up. You can especially see it whenever he supports/defends one of the lab rats.

:)

You know what would be a fun episode for CSI to do, a future look at them. Then maybe they could show Greg in charge or more respected or something. Maybe he had secretly been studying for a Doctorate and he became Dr. Sanders.

This thread is the birthplace of all plot bunnies conceived. Maybe for the summer we should also do a Round Robin. Oh, and speaking of which, for the past week, while watching the ep 'Lost & Found' and actively participating in this thread, my brain has been kinda thinking about Greg's growth over the decade. Also, watching the old CSI clips on youtube brought about a nostalgic feeling that just fueled a plot bunny. It's sort of my thoughts of Greg which I've used Catherine as the proxy, wrapped up in a H/C fic. Hopefully I've managed to capture the characters as best as I could, and let me know what you think. =)

It is true. I still think Greg has changed the most, even though David Rambo said Nick had grown the most on the show. I mean look at how he was not really serious about his job in the lab way back when. I think he has changed the most in a lot of ways.

Sigh. I've been thinking lately about Greg and his role on CSI. It seems like one of the last thing he still has yet to do as a character is to save someone. Nick's done it plenty of times, even Sara has. But Greg has never taken charge and saved the day yet. I'm so hoping they do that one day :(

What do you mean??? He saved that guy from being beaten to death and risked his own life in doing so! I think that was the most heroic of any of them.

Yeah but I still think it counts and whether it was a kid or an adult, it is still a human life he saved. He could have very well waited until the real cops got there and more than likely by then the guy would have been dead.

I agree with Dizzney, but I think what A. FineLabrats is trying to say is that Greg hasn't had a case where's he's emotionally invested in like Nick was in 'Gum Drops'. I think the closest we came to was 'Spark of Life' or, for a comedic touch, it would be 'Spellbound'.

Well that I agree with and we have said we want to see that kind of episode. Even Eric has said he wants to see that kind of episode.

I hope that Eric will be back next season.
I am getting my writing-hand geared up for the letter I plan to write to ask for a much deserved/needed Greg-isode:).

I really think he will come back. That interview he did in Feb. of this year he said this...
Finally, what else do you have coming up in the near future for all of us Eric Szmanda fans out there? Currently, I am developing a couple TV series, a screenplay and a rock opera. Also I am the executive director of a digital radio station in the US called erockster, which I run with one of my best friends. We have a production company as well, which up to now has specialized in creating web content. Hopefully I’ll do a movie or a play this hiatus.

To me that sounds like someone who has every intention of returning, unless they do not want him back.
