Eric/Greg: Leggo Our Greggo thread #15

If they did not want him back, they would be making such a huge mistake. And they would be losing a few viewers who will miss the lab rat turned CSI.

Finally saw Doctor Who and wanted to say I thought it was a great episode for the team dynamics.

I'm so glad we saw more of Greg!! Seeing him involved in all the team discussions, the locker room, at Ray's house and then at the bar. That was really vindicating, after he'd been 'shunted off' to a different crime scene way back at the beginning of the season. And I love how he was drinking a cocktail  I was trying to figure out which one it could be!

I really hope tptb have him back for next season. I'm certainly going to be writing those letters! The writers convene in July/July to begin planning the season right? So if I post my letters mid-June they should arrive well in time.

Here's to Greg!! And cheers to Eric for bringing us such an inspiring and dynamic character!

PS. A rock opera?! Sounds so cool!!!

Thanks to blackflag who pointed it out in the 'Meat Jekyll' thread. It's an interview with Carol Mendelsohn who when asked what was her biggest disappointment about Season 10, she answered, "Also, I wish we had revealed more about Greg’s personal life. But there’s always next season. Nick, too."

So... we just may get that Greg-isode and secondly... it looks like Greg's coming back. =)

Well like I said and I know Eric has said before, he would ride the show out until the end. He likes having a steady paycheck, like most people.

I really hope CM holds to those words and does have more Greg next season in a personal light. He's just so much business overall lately...all about the job pretty much.

Despite what CM says I'm still very trepidatious about this finale. I won't get to see it until Friday night and to avoid any angst I'm going to be away from Talk from Thursday. I don't want to know until I see it for myself!!

I just hope that all the talk by CM and others is just hype.

ETA: And, if CM IS telling the truth...then I hope we get to see Greg's apartment :p

You know, being in the media line, it's common when we as the writers/designers/concept-conceivers have great ideas for our client's campaign and what-nots. We draw up the plans, the mocks, and the flow--only to be shot down.

We get requests from clients who want shining stars and blinking icons that "pop" in their ads. Not kidding.

So, to be fair to CM and the other producers of CSI, I'm sure they had loads of plans and ideas for the show only to have their leash yanked by the network execs. I read somewhere that Katee Sackhoff was meant to be Jorja's replacement, but the execs said no (and I side them on this one), and so they got someone else instead. Unfortunately, in show business, it's more about the business than the show sometimes.

You have a good point frickangel, unfortunately it IS a business. That's why I'm certain all this talk about contracts (or lack thereof) is mostly a publicity stunt by tptb. And, I have to admit, it seems to be working because there is a lot of buzz lately!!

I guess we won't know until tomorrow though. And I won't know myself until Friday!

No matter what happens, I have always wished only the best for Eric, and that he is happy with what he is doing.

ETA: I have often thought that CM is rather out of touch with the reality of what CSI fans are saying/wanting. I don't really trust much of what she says!

I have often thought the same thing. I think she says she does what the fans want but I mostly think she does what she wants.

Yea, well I am still confident Eric is coming back for next season. If he is not something must have changed on his reasons for not returning or they just did not want him.

All I am going to say about tonight's episode is that Greg's screen time...well I would have liked more. And the boy looked FINE!

He did look especially delicious tonight, didn't he? I am loving his hair!

It is almost the weekend...yay:)!

I actually watched the show while at work. I love my job.

Okay, the finale had Greg looking totally awesome plus the jacket and hair was just amazing. In fact, even the lines he had in this episode were pretty strong lines--not your regular filler lines, but ones that carried weight to the storyline.

As for screentime, well, it was good just maybe not as well as we would've loved.
But the ending... meh. Though I do see why it was Nick who got shot, after all, it would've been very OOC for Greg to be the one killing a person--even if it was Dr. Jekyll. But it was OOC for Greg not to say anything to Nick and just walk off like that in the hospital--IMHO.

Oh yeah... BIG twist at the ending. *insert rolling of eyes* It was a good ep, just not psyched on how it ended.

I do agree that Greg not saying goodbye to Nick was just strange at the end but then again if you are a LOVE shipper, we can always thinks of reasons why. ;)

I'm glad he did look very fine on my bday. :D
