Eric/Greg Leggo our Greggo thread #11

Now I liked True Vinyl. Now it was a movie about the music more so, so that is why they did not flesh out the characters as much. And I liked Billy in it because he was really different from Greg and Jacob as a character for Eric.

Jacob was adorable. The Net was a decent show, but I can see why it ended after one season. Him as Elvis was funny and yet somehow I felt embarrassed for him.

Luke in Snow Wonder annoyed me. He is one of least favorite characters he played. Maybe it was because the storyline was so dorky and stupid. It drove me nuts.

Derek in Little Athens...well he was not in it much but the role was interesting in different ways.:guffaw:

Yeah Billy was different from Greg/Jacob etc but I would still have liked to have gotten to know him a bit more. I'm not sure if Eric was embarrassed at being Elvis at the time, but I bet he would be now. Although, bearing in mind what he wore as the Dope Ass Warrior, I guess he enjoys dressing outrageously in the name of acting. Or maybe he just enjoys dressing outrageously? :p

*jaw drop* I'm so shocked someone doesn't like Luke. He seemed like the kind of "everyman" character people can relate to. Greg is super-intelligent, Jacob was like an excitable puppy, Eli was evil, Billy wasn't fleshed out enough, but Luke was just a normal guy trying to do the best he could in life and needing someone to give him some encouragement to follow his dreams. And the whole "put the goose down" line is probably my favourite quote of his ever. As well as when Lula was talking about someone famous called Donald... Luke (excitedly): "Trump?" Lula: "Duck". Love it.

Derek was.... yes, erm... different! The bit in the car when Derek answered the phone (loved his "hellooo") was funny and I'd have liked him if he hadn't... y'know... *washes out mind with soap and water*

Loved the face he made, though. LOL!

How can you say Eli was evil? Now there is a character I would call not fleshed out. I would not call him evil. I think he was just a poor, homeless kid that used his attitude to make him feel more confident in himself.

Luke might have been okay as a character without the crazy Aunt Lulu. I think she ruined it for me.

I loved his "hellooo" as Derek too. That "other" particular scene does not bother bother me that much. If you listen to the commentary track on Little Athens it explains more so what the purpose of that scene was. It was not all for reasons it looked like obviously.

Who's Eli ?

Living in England I've not been able to watch Freakylinks. I've only seen a small clip where Eli was being interrogated. That is what I am basing my "evil" claim on. I'd like to have seen more, and I hope Eric will play other, meaner characters in the future so we can see his full range.

I loved Aunt Lula. She reminded me of me ;)

Don't think Little Athens is for sale in the UK so I've not heard the commentary. I'd be interested to know more about that scene.

I've never seen Freaky links, I'd like to though. I also would love to see Eric play an evil character because I think that would be fun. I bet he'd be good at it too, can you imagine Eric as a psycho? Or Eric as a vampire would be really hot! He can suck on my neck any time!

Well in Freakylinks he played a teenager pretty much living with a bunch of others in a underground sewer system or something like that. They were basically homeless and then there was some sort of SCi-fi thingy to it and well they arrested some of the people trying to say they were the ones doing but the supernatural, whatever it was, was really doing it. So he is just playing a pissed off, smart ass in that interrogation scene because they arrested them.

I love vampire anything so Eric as one...I would be in heaven. :D

After seeing more spoilers for new eps, I will definitely be writing to CM for more Greg screen time, because so far I see the new chick mentioned more than him. Go figure.

Thanks for the explanation of Freaky Links. That's why I decided to write, hardy any Greg spoilers at all... I am so sick and tired of him being thrown aside so everyone else can get all the attention. :brickwall:

Yeah it really makes me think CM does not like him.

Well I have not seen that full ep of Freakylinks, but I have seen all of Eric's scenes and that is what I got from it.

Luke was his character in the CBS tv movie Snow Wonder.

Oh, right! I forgot all about that movie. I recorded it when it was on just cause he was in it. I left it on the tape for a while, but eventually recorded over it (the tv had messed up that night, so it was not a good copy anyway). I thought that whole movie was kind of silly, but I loved seeing him in it.

He was on Freakylinks? I watched that show. I was upset when it was cancelled.

Anyone got a pic from Freakylinks? That's been so long ago that I can't even remember any eps in detail. All I remember is that that one dude from Empire Records (I can't remember his name) was in it... the one that was kind of goofy (on Empire Records "Damn the man, save the empire")... what is his name?

Edited to say: I remember now. Ethan Embry is his name. I should have remembered that cause I always thought Embry would be a cute first name.

You're welcome.

Wojo, So I am curious as to what episodes of The Net you liked the best.

Hmmm, Harvest (also the name of a CSI ep) the one where he was first introduced was good.

Also Chen lab-the one they went undercover at a school

Pay the line-the one Jacob got taken at online gambling - they went to Vegas!

and Lunatic Fringe - the charismatic pitchman

That's all I can think of right now.
