Welcome, Potato! I'm glad to have you with us.

About the scene from the promo... I would like to see Calleigh save herself and then Eric could fuss over her to make sure she's okay.

Yeah, I would also like to see bad-ass Calleigh again. I think the man is going to back down and leave then Eric is going to find out about it and confront the man. In the promo you see Eric pushing him around so...we'll see;)

I always enjoy reading Christmas fics. It's a bit odd to me, though, because they're always posted somewhere around 25th, which is normal for you guys, but orthodox Christmas is on 7th of January and I'm always like 'why are they posting Christmas fics so early'... and then after 5 min I realize why.

Now, back on topic... I think it was obvious that Eric was mad about Calleigh even before 'And How Does That Make You Kill?'. I mean, guy wasn't with a woman in almost two years (as far as we know), and he is so waiting for her.

I'm really looking forward for next week, (tnx for posting the promo, I'm going to think about what could happen the entire week),
I would like to see Calleigh save herself aswell. I don't know why but I don't like to see her as a victim. She's too strong. Maybe Eric could plan to save her but by the time he reaches her, the 'threat' could be over. He may worry about her afterwards..
And welcome potato :)

When was the last time the challenge actually got done!!!
Hey, I wrote one last year! It just...got deleted 'cause it sucked! :p Lucy's was awesome, though. :D

I think several folks finished the summer challenge.
...We had a summer challenge? I think the Christmas one was the one where I swore off challenges forever, lol. ;)

Last night was boring. :(

Am I the only one who doesn't see anything of worth happening next week? I mean, I don't even know how Eric would find out about Calleigh and the dude in the elevator. They're secluded, and it's not like Calleigh's going to run to Eric afterward and be like, guess what just happened to me. I mean, if the doors were to open and Eric was right there, then sure, but I'm not expecting anything. I'm certainly not expecting Eric to "save" her; it's Calleigh - she practically saved herself when she was kidnapped, lol. Whatever happens, and it may be nothing at all, considering how badly the promos like to play things up , I expect Calleigh to handle it herself and we'll be left feeling empty with regard to EC for the end of November sweeps.

Clearly I am a pessimist. ;) We don't have any real EC spoilers for this episode, do we?

I could potentially see Eric accidentally startling Calleigh after all that happens, and since Calleigh isn't so easily startled, Eric might start to wonder what had happened, and Calleigh letting him know after a bit of hesitation. That would give us some worried Eric, and some pissed-off-at-the-dude-who-threatened-his-Calleigh Eric, which is always nice. :D

That's a great idea. That way we would have strong Calleigh and I'm-coming-to-save-the-love-of-my-life Eric.

OK, maybe I'm delusional or something, but I thought we had a spring/summer thing. Whatever... Let's do one for Christmas.

I hope you're wrong and we get the warm fuzzies for SOMETHING happening between Eric and Calleigh. This is their last chance. November sweeps will be over soon then we get to wait until February. :brickwall:

Sometimes the writers make me want to scream. They've missed so many golden opportunities to have really wonderful moments, but they pushed them aside to have more Ho drama...

It figures.

I hope you're wrong
Lol, me too. ;) And I probably am, as long as the writers don't do something crazy like revert to season four Eric and Calleigh. And they've come too far for that. Still...I lack faith after these last couple of episodes, lol.

I still can't believe they passed up such a perfect opportunity with the baby last night. :( I mean, seriously! Calleigh knows how badly Eric wants a family. She now also knows he wants that with her. (Aww... :D ) It would've been a huge step in the positive direction if Eric had gotten to save the baby instead of H, and Calleigh had gotten to see Eric with the baby. That is the scene I would've wanted last night. And the butterflies that such a scene would've given Calleigh...how could she ever walk away from that and force herself to see Eric as something other than the man she's supposed to settle down with?

I demand that somebody writes this fic. :D

I hope you are wrong too but I don't think you are.:( If anything is going to happen, I think it is going to happen around Feb sweeps....possibly even later. Who knows it might happen in the last 3 or 4 eps of the season and we are left hanging somehow as to how they will move forward.

One thing is for sure, they are building to it. Like Corey said, it is "baby steps" but they are there. While I want to see E/C together, I don't want to see it rushed or thrown in our face every ep. Part of me thinks they are practicing the "baby steps" right now. Throwing out their feelers to see what eps, how many and how to incorporate "them" into it. Them just throwing scenes between ithem n eps for the sake of throwing them in there (no matter how much we want it) would seem out of place and probably come across badly.

No, they want to build this up on a strong level b/c this show, in particular, has never been one for romances...so they can't just make it happen out of the blue. Think about how disappointed we would all be if it happened that way considering most of us have been waiting for this since day one! It would be a let down and I would rather this "will they/won't they and when" then have that happen. But that is just my personal opinion ;)

Oh, me too. After getting next to nothing this season (save And How Does That Make You Kill) I am losing faith that we'll get to see them in a confirmed relationship this season. They can say baby steps all they want, but now that I'm feeling pessimistic, it isn't even baby steps we're getting.

And yes, they've missed MANY opportunities for some E/C goodness, last nights episode and the one with the bomb in the dress (had the baby stroller scene with Natalia instead of Calleigh!) for starters. I would bet the reason we didn't see Eric rescue the baby, or carrying the baby to his mother is because a certain-someone-who-shall-remain-nameless only wants himself in the hero role... so no cute Eric, Calleigh, and lets have cute little Cuban babies scene at the end. :scream:

It almost seems to me as if they are backing away from an E/C relationship and testing the waters to see how fans will react to that. I shudder at the thought, especially given the talk of late regarding you know who...

Your feelings resemble mine :( Although I hadn't thought about the last part so I'm just going to pretend that could never happen and leave it at that. I do think they have invested a lot on EC and it would be a real waste of everything to just throw it all away and back out. It would really upset the fans and the show, IMO, would be hurt by it.

I keep thinking about how badly romance has been handled on NY and LV and maybe the Miami writers are just afraid to take the plunge and have it backfire. IMO they were doing really well up until the end of season 6 cause it was slow but consistent. EC was not thrown in our face all the time, or out of the blue, or depressing, or cheesy or anything like that. If they had kept that this season it would all be fine. But suddenly there's this huge lack of EC and all this talk about Tara (though that was due mostly because of the actress herself) and we are not moving forward in the constant speed we were on season 6. These baby steps are waaaayyyy too small for my taste. Plus all the potential that has been wasted doesn't help. I still think they'll keep the storyline but now I'm not so thrilled about how they are doing it. Last season I was happy with the were the writers were handling everything. This season...not so much :shifty:

all this talk about Tara (though that was due mostly because of the actress herself)

Boy, you got that right. No one but Megalyn herself has said anything about a possible relationship between Eric and Tara, Corey Miller has said differently, and at no time in any episdoe has Eric shown any kind of romantic interest in her. Although I am very pessimistic at this point about E/C, I do believe that what Megalyn said is mere conjecture and probably wishful thinking on her part from reading her scripts and seeing herself and Adam in scenes together, because there sure hasn't been any flirting between the characters. Jesus, if being in scenes alone together means there is going to be a relationship, then Eric & Natalia would still be together, Calleigh and Ryan would be together, and by golly, Eric and Calleigh would have been a couple last season! They'd all be a bunch of ho's (and I don't mean Horatios).

I hated the fact Tara and Eric had scenes together again yet him and Calleigh had none..well at least not like how I expected. The only thing that is not making me worry about Tara and Eric is the fact Corey has made it clear he isn't making this a triangle. I am hoping next week there are some good Eric and Calleigh scenes.

ETA: The promo for next week looks good. Calleigh looks like she'll be able to handle herself this time around but maybe she will confide in Eric about what happened. This season a different side to Calleigh has been shown.

ok new episode spoilers are out for ep 714 and to quell your disgruntleness at the lack of E/C I have some interesting info for all of you....

Ok the team investigates the murder of a surgeon when Ryan and Calleigh are in the attic someone shoots several bullets into the house breaking open the isnulation in the floor boards. Safely ducking for cover the two realize the house is on fire!! They barely make out with their lives. Eric finds Ryan and immediately asks him how Calleigh is doing. Ryan, jokingly says he is fine and so is Calleigh. Eric tells Ryan that he wishes he was there and Ryan tells him that he has been "there" before. Insinuating that he has been in life threatening situations...obviously not getting what Eric really meant (at least that is what I get out of it ;)).

But it seems Calleigh has inhaled too much of the insulation and is rushed to the hospital. She turns out to be fine but from what I can gather Eric is with her when she begins to choke and feel loss of breathe. While at the hospital none other than our beloved Alexx looks after her :D . And later when Eric is at the hospital questioning the woman that our murder victim was seeing b/c they think he was stealing pills from her pharm unit. When Eric confronts her about it she makes the off hand comment that "that is what you get when you get involved with coworkers" Eric thinks about it but shakes off the comment!! ;)

I have no idea what if anything this means...all I know is that he is shaken up about the incident.

I don't know about guys, all the Tara & Eric drama, I just don't find it a good thing! Unless they are try to make a point to a certain other ME that left the show! Shes getting a lot of face time with our boy, and I just don't like it!

Maybe that what the ugly look that Calleigh gives her is all about! Maybe she rolls up on the crime scene and Eric & Tara are have a pissing match and she has to break them up or something? Could be!!! Guess we'll have to wait to see! Would be good in a fanfic though!

I don't know if we'll get any moment next week, but they didn't volunteer anything on the last two we got either, (Girls like flowers & the edible painties) they just jumped out on us. So i'm not thinking they will tell us when the next one will show up either.

I was kinda hoping for somthing in Episode 10 though, sence it will be all about Eric in the motel, Maybe we could see something there! Maybe a little confort scene, or a you know you can talk to me about anything scene.

I'm just not sure! So far all the hyped episodes have fell rather flat. & that cartoon rescue Ho drama last night, I wouldn't have been suprised to see the Fantastic Four, The Power Puff Girls, Or my personal favorite growing up Jimmy Sparks & Gigantor swooping in to save that baby as unrealistic as that scene was! LOL!

What the Hell has got into these writers? If they would rather write comic books than drama stories then I guess their in the wrong job, because thats what it reminded me of a cheep 70's live action cartoon show from the Saturday morning cartoon line up!
Next they'll be rideing arount in Wonder bug instead of the Hummers, and replacing our Bullet Girl With Electra Woman & Dina Girl & Eric & Ryan will be replaced by Bigfoot & Wildboy, & hell H. will just put on a mask and then we'll be all set!!!! LoL!!

Whew Boy!!! I'm tellin my age here! I need to stop!

Wow! That sounds like a great episode! Hopefully it is as good as it sounds for Hiphuggers. I really need a E/C fix and sooon! Thanks for the info:thumbsup: Do you know when it is suppose to air??
