I don't think any ship will immediately take the leap following the ep; but something will happen and I am just really hoping that since E/C's friendship is supposed to get stronger b/c of this event that it will be *our* ship comforting each other!

You've got to love the day after a birthday. I woke up face-down on the couch with a horrendous hangover. Two aspirin, a piece of cake and an episode of Miami later, I was as right as rain. Three cheers for 'Losing Face'. Complimentary picspam from me:

C'mon Cal, we all know what that smirk was all about. All this talk about lingerie and Valentine's Day and those looks and we're supposed to believe these two haven't done the nasty already? Dude, even Bambi isn't that naive. If we do the Valentine's drabble challenge, somebody has to write something about this scene!

I love how Calleigh took her sweet time turning around to face Megan whilst she was talking. She was too busy doing the daydreamy stare at Eric again:

Apparently, Eric and Calleigh are working together in episode 5.19 'By The Book'. As far as I remember, they work together in 'Broken Home' too. The rest of the season is shaping up nicely.

Well I guess any ship could leap. Since H and Cal are going to both be at Eric's vigil it could be them. Or Ryan/Cal, same reason. but I actually think Eric/Cal is the most likely because with him "dead" she might admit she loves him (assuming the writers don't hate our guts)

I swear, if I get a bout of giddyness like I did in 'Throwing Heat' one of you is going to have to help me unscrew the dopey grin on my face. I never squee, but that was a total squee moment.

I don't think any ship are going to make the jump soon, but I think this event will put Eric and Cal in the right direction. I just see this as them getting back on track and laying the foundations for what is going to happen in the future. E/C is the only ship I could see advancing towards becoming canon from this event. Not only would it not make much sense in the context of what's going on for anybody else to be getting together, I'd get pissed if the writer's were using Eric's misfortune to further a romance. I'm not saying that because it would be another ship either but rather the fact that this is a big event for Eric, and all this should be about is Eric and his relationships to everyone else.

I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate Horatio and Natalia getting off at the foot of his bed when he wakes up either.

I do agree; the last thing I want to see out of all this is somebody else (and I think we all know who I mean...ugh) getting their own storyline out of this. This is about Eric, dammit! It's about Calleigh comforting him and bringing him food that's actually edible and taking him home to her place so she can, ah, keep an eye on him. Yeah.

Anyway. Love the pics, Ali! (And btw, happy belated birthday, yay! I do hope Eric and Calleigh let you have their tapes for the day, lol! :devil I especially like the ones where they're obviously lost in each other and Megan's all, "uh, hello? I'm in the room!" :lol:

They were kind enough to lend me the video collection, but Valera 'borrowed' them for education reference for Ryan. I've got a feeling I won't be seeing them for a long time! They've always ignored whoever was in the room. I felt sorry for Speed, he always seemed to be in the way. Would you have wanted to be him with them in the car in 'Blood Brothers'?. Actually, scratch that, because I know most of us would have died of happiness after witnessing what totally went down in the front seat. :devil:

Hello again my good friends.

My god, if I was Speed in the back of that car, I would lock the doors and make sure no one gets out until I see something(You know what I mean?), but knowing Eric and Calleigh something will happen.

Pretty much each ship had their own theory about what is going to happen. I can't see Eric and Calleigh as brother and sister, maybe friends, but not brother and sister. So their relationship seems to be the one that would be affected the most. You know, Calleigh's got his back, so of course she is gonna be upset. Remember when she found that Delko was positive for marijuana? Did you see that look on her face?!

Yeah, Monday's episode is making me really nervous. I know I'm going to flip out when 'To Be Continued' flashes up on the screen, especially if I haven't had a chance to measure the damage to Eric's oh-so-perfect face. The only thing keeping me sane is the hope that we'll get something great in the way of E/C out of this. The little knowledge we have looks good, but I'm really trying not to get my hopes up, because I know how much Ann loves to crush them. There needs to be Worried Calleigh, like, now!

What Corey is what is keeping my hopes alive for this pairing! I am all for them getting together but at this point what I really want is more screen time between them. You can't have everything at once so if we have to get things in steps, albeit they seem to be baby steps, I'll take it. So if this storyline brings them closer together as friends and then something more....I will take it. I just wish it wasn't taking so long. But that could be a good sign b/c if the writers are taking their sweet time with building up this paring it means when they get together it will be something of substance and not what happened with Eric and Natalia or any other of his 'girlfriends.'

So in the mean time I am hoping and watching for some great one liners like 'hey hot stuff' and a whole of smiles and maybe some flirting! :lol:

With Eric and Calleigh, flirting is like breathing, and giddyness and dopey smiles are mandatory. I just love that; could you imagine either of them being like that around else? Of course you can't, because they never are!

I think what's coming up next will be a good indicator of whether or not they are planning on getting them together in the next season or so, because if they are going to do it, they need to get the wheels in motion right about now. They're never going to throw this relationship in the mix out of nowhere like they did with Eric and Natalia and be like 'Hey, guess what? These guys are doing it!' They've taken their time with this one because it's serious, and not just a casual throwaway thing. If we look at Grissom and Sara, again, just because of Corey's constant comparisons, they had a very slow, steady build-up, but they had constant interaction leading up to the point where they jumped. So yeah, what's coming up could be the indicator if super-fun happy day is on the horizon, or if we're going to have to wait a little while longer. :lol:

It may not be very wise, but I'm definately expecting something substantial out of this. Blame Corey, he was the one who broke my cynicism. Honestly, it should be a big deal for these guys, even if the writers only had 'friendship' in mind (which I'm almost certain they don't ) It's a frickin' near-death experience! My biggest fear about the while thing isn't even the writers screwing us with worried Calleigh, but rather Horatio hijacking the whole storyline. I'll be secretly urging Clavo Cruz (or Calleigh for that matter) to take an AK-47 to him if that happens. :devil:
