Let's face it, Eric would be the stay at home dad. It would be funny to witness him slightly deteriorate into a soccer mom.

Thanks, Leela!

My sister actually went into labor and drove herself to the hospital just in time to start pushing, and I can SO see Calleigh doing the same thing.

Heh...Calleigh would have to drive herself, since she'd be the only calm one. Eric would probably be too busy panicking.

And with that I get the picture of Eric standing over the stove wearing an apron.

Re: Eric & Calleigh #18 -- The One True Path to Shirtless De

Being all passive aggressive when Calleigh comes home late and doesn't call. And I can imagine him on play dates with other moms, exchanging recipes and tricks on how to get the kids to sleep on their cribs and such.

Re: Eric & Calleigh #18

Hi, I'm not an Eric/Calleigh fan exactly but I'd like to ask you something. I've just watched Nailed, so in the scene where Eric goes to the hospital to pick Ryan's nail up and he runs into Marisol, Calleigh is looking at them, and I think she was a little jealous (didn't she know Marisol?). And then when she says: beautiful girl Eric, etc. etc. she's a little angry (maybe she's just worry about her friend, but I don't know)

Re: Eric & Calleigh #18

Ah, jealous Calleigh. Yep. One of the few bright points of the season that must not be named, lol. Calleigh may have played it off by saying she was concerned about how Eric's been acting lately and about the security of his job and blah blah blah, but I think that was definite jealousy there. :D

I love the way she looks at him throughout that scene. Calleigh says "she's a pretty girl", and Eric smiles and says yeah or whatever; I love how she looks at him like he was supposed to say "not as pretty as you." Heh.

And also, I thought it was really odd that Calleigh didn't know Marisol. Especially given how close she and Eric have always been.

Re: Eric & Calleigh #18

Oooh, Calleigh was so jealous in that scene. There's no doubt in my mind. She didn't look concerned or even curious when she saw Marisol. She was downright pissed. I have a friend who doesn't ship anything on Miami, and when she saw that she called me to tell me that Calleigh was jealous, lol.

Those are the little things that give me faith in this ship. Does anyone remember jealous Eric when Hagen was around? At least Calleigh tries to hide it; Eric was downright nasty to the guy. He made a comment to Calleigh that he KNEW would get her to fight with Hagen. As a result, Calleigh and Hagen broke up.

There were few signs this season, but they were so there. Remember that episode where Eric and Calleigh are working together (yeah, that sole ONE) and they're walking down some stairs and a bunch of cute girls wearing TEEEEEENY skirts walked past them? Eric didn't even notice them! And their asses were like right in his face, too. He just kept looking at Calleigh the whole time. Even non E/C fans noticed that one, too, cause I remember it was mentioned in other threads.

Little things like that give me hope. The way they continue to flirt, Calleigh jealous, and Calleigh being the center of Eric's world when other women are around. They also seem to be around when the other is going through something major, like Eric's sister dying and Hagen's suicide. No one else was there for them but each other. Also, why didn't Eric want Calleigh to know about him and Natalia? He didn't seem to care that other people knew, but when he thought Calleigh knew, he panicked.

Eric and Calleigh remind me a lot of my brother and his friend Hilda. They've been friends forever, and they like each other like that, but they've never dated. Only if you ask my brother, he'll tell you, "I know I'm gonna end up marrying her. The day I finally settle down and get married, I know it'll be with her." But it's fucking weird, because they just won't hook up. She dates other guys, and he dates other girls (and she gets a bit jealous), but they never date each other. Still, they're like best friends and probably made for each other, they're just not ready for each other yet. That's how I see Eric and Calleigh.

I love that. The way his character's been written, you'd expect him to at least glance at them, if not stare. But in a scene like that, to keep his eyes on Calleigh; it shows that she's the one on his mind.

That right there is huge for me. Since early season three, these two have been drifting, unfortunately, but then when something really bad happens to one of them, the other is always right there (although I still wish we would have gotten a more sympathetic Calleigh when Eric's sister died. But at least she was there. That's more than anyone else can say.).

Alexx knows it too; didn't she in "10-7" tell Eric that he was the one Calleigh needed?

Re: Eric & Calleigh #18

OMG you're right about 10-7, I can remember he was trying to comfort her it was cute :p. What was that sole episode in s4 where they worked together? I haven't seen s4 complete (in fact I've just seen Nailed  ) Didn't they work together more than once? The rest 24 episodes she worked with Ryan? Amazing!!!!

Re: Eric & Calleigh #18

Heh.... made us a Nailed cap.

Faking a smile....

Re: Eric & Calleigh #18

It was Fade Out, I think. The one Corey Miller wrote.

I think Corey is a Hip Hugger. And I still miss Maeda :(.

They work together more than once. Season 4 barely had any episodes with two cases, so they always worked in groups, it's just that they didn't have a lot of scenes. Season 4 was a huge bore. I don't get how the writers don't get bored writing the same thing over and over again.

Re: Eric & Calleigh #18

Corey Miller should write the whole rest of the series. Then we'd actually have an E/C scene that wasn't just two seconds long.

They work together more than once.

Not a whole lot more than once. I remember freaking out just because they actually got to walk beside each other. That's sad.

Re: Eric & Calleigh #18

Welcome back, Jaffy! How was the trip? Did you take pictures?

I'm in a E/C mood. Any new stories out there? I haven't been to ff.net in ages.

I remember freaking out just because they actually got to walk beside each other.

Well, they do look mighty shiny together.

Re: Eric & Calleigh #18

Thanks Caro! :)
The trip was awesome! The East Coast is beautiful! I loved it, especially Boston. Huge spiders though
And the Atlantic is too cold for me, and no waves! But overall I really liked it :D
I just went over to ff.net and there were a buttload of E/C stories!

Re: Eric & Calleigh #18

I should head over and check them out, but I'm so tired and lazy and meh.

I'm looking at a thread where people post cute pictures of animals. I'm half tempted to post a picture of Eric and Calleigh.
