Re: Eric & Calleigh #18
Oooh, Calleigh was so jealous in that scene. There's no doubt in my mind. She didn't look concerned or even curious when she saw Marisol. She was downright pissed. I have a friend who doesn't ship anything on Miami, and when she saw that she called me to tell me that Calleigh was jealous, lol.
Those are the little things that give me faith in this ship. Does anyone remember jealous Eric when Hagen was around? At least Calleigh tries to hide it; Eric was downright nasty to the guy. He made a comment to Calleigh that he KNEW would get her to fight with Hagen. As a result, Calleigh and Hagen broke up.
There were few signs this season, but they were so there. Remember that episode where Eric and Calleigh are working together (yeah, that sole ONE) and they're walking down some stairs and a bunch of cute girls wearing TEEEEEENY skirts walked past them? Eric didn't even notice them! And their asses were like right in his face, too. He just kept looking at Calleigh the whole time. Even non E/C fans noticed that one, too, cause I remember it was mentioned in other threads.
Little things like that give me hope. The way they continue to flirt, Calleigh jealous, and Calleigh being the center of Eric's world when other women are around. They also seem to be around when the other is going through something major, like Eric's sister dying and Hagen's suicide. No one else was there for them but each other. Also, why didn't Eric want Calleigh to know about him and Natalia? He didn't seem to care that other people knew, but when he thought Calleigh knew, he panicked.
Eric and Calleigh remind me a lot of my brother and his friend Hilda. They've been friends forever, and they like each other like that, but they've never dated. Only if you ask my brother, he'll tell you, "I know I'm gonna end up marrying her. The day I finally settle down and get married, I know it'll be with her." But it's fucking weird, because they just won't hook up. She dates other guys, and he dates other girls (and she gets a bit jealous), but they never date each other. Still, they're like best friends and probably made for each other, they're just not ready for each other yet. That's how I see Eric and Calleigh.
