Re: Eric & Calleigh #18
Ditto, Jessica! I saw the picture before I saw the episode. In fact, when I saw the picture I'd only seen like one or two episodes. My first one was The Best Defense, and when I saw that episode and then found that picture it seemed perfectly clear to me that Eric wanted Calleigh. I don't know if that was Adam playing it like that or it was the writing, but it was so obvious that he was after her.
I still think Eric wants Calleigh, but I also think he's grown realistic of the idea that she might not want him because of the way he is with women. That's incredibly sad, but yeah, true to character.
I'm hoping this season that Eric tones it down with the women. Or rather, that the writers tone it down. After the death of his sister, I want Eric to realize he needs to take life a bit more seriously and he goes through a celibacy period of sorts, and becomes more responsible and hard working. No, I don't want him to turn into Horatio or even Ryan, because I think Eric's sense of humor and fun is one of the things Calleigh loves about him, but for him to become a bit more responsible would be great. Then Calleigh can realize he's changed and he wouldn't just love her and leave her, and she might finally allow herself to be with him.
Of course, what I want and what the writers want certainly never meet in the middle. Curse you, Donahue.
