Another thing I noticed about the 1st E/C scene in which Eric asked Calleigh about why she didn't go to Brennan's (I think that's what he called it). When she gave her answer to him, she was smiling and didn't look the least bit uncomfortable. So, I don't think she was "running" away from the issue when she didn't go, in fact I think the look on her face said she was pleased that he asked, and was likely thinking that the fact that he did ask meant that he'd missed seeing her there, which no doubt pleases her.

Another thing I noticed: On her cell his name came up as Eric and not Delko. I thought it usually showed up as Dellko. So I naturally smiled at that cause Eric is more intimate than Delko. :)

I totally agree. But maybe I am just grabbing at whatever I can.
I can not wait till Feb. 2!!!!!!!!:drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:

Well I guess it's safe to post without spoiler tags now...

I liked the episode. I wasn't worried before watching and I'm certainly not worried after. As many said she was more interested in the horse than in the guy. It was all about riding not meeting someone new. After what she said last week nothing else would have been possible, I mean Calleigh is not fickle. She made an ouverture last week to Eric, it's not to ride in the sunset with another guy right away.

As far as avoiding him the previous evening, well we don't know how often she goes to those get-togethers with the rest of the team. Eric didn't seem that disappointed that she didn't show up so I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't join them on a regular basis. But he showed concern and that was sweet. She took time to explain what she did and didn't just brush it off like she sometimes does.
But then even if she had gone, it would not have been the time to address anything personal. I doubt they really want the others to pick up something at this very stage. Once they are a step further, it'll be okay but now it would put too much strain on the potential 'them'...

The chocolates were beyond cute. I really liked it because for me it was the ultimate proof that he has understood what she meant last week. He knows she is interested and won't dismiss him. He seemed more confident and happy and totally ready to pursue her in a romantic way. He isn't even concerned to leave the gift in plain view for anyone to see. Now we just have to wait and see where it goes from there.
I wasn't too bummed about him not being able to reach her at the end of the episode. He didn't look sad nor over disappointed. I'm sure he left a message on her voicemail and nothing tells us that she didn't call him back after the ride. Now if she had had her phone with her and ignored him, that would have been different...

ITA with everything you've said. I am not worried at all. Calleigh's interest was in the horse, she kept talking about her love for horses throughout the episode. She doesn't have an interest in that guy.

I loved Eric leaving those truffles for Calleigh, I was in total aww in that scene. He wasn't sad at all and that's what made that scene easy to watch. I can't wait to see the next episode. I need to keep myself busy to get through the next two weeks :)

So I watched the last scene again (now that I am home I can actually watch it without getting in trouble with my boss) and the look on Eric's face when he called Calleigh to me said that he was ready to talk to her about his feelings. I am sure that he wanted to see Calleigh's reaction to the truffles that he left her but hopefully she will bring it up in the next episode.

So here are my hopes for the big reveal:

Eric is worried sick about Calleigh. When he goes to see her he runs into Alexx and asks how she is doing, Alexx, being Alexx of course recognizes the concern in Eric's voice. She sends him away for one reason or another and then Alexx goes in to talk to Calleigh and tells her that Eric was there and how worried he is about her and then asks Calleigh what is going on with them. Later when he sees her he tells her how stupid he was for not telling her sooner how he felt.

So today I was thinking about hiphuggers, and decided to watch some of my favorite scenes. One of the ones that came up was "It would be nice if it were Calleigh" scene. BUT I was thinking about how we were all disputing on why she didn't know what he wanted and everything. So i went back and reanalyzed what was written on the paper only about a million times

"Patient is CSI w/ Miami Dade PD. Has been seeing a departmental therapist since sustaining a gunshot injury on the job. Injury to brain has left him w/ [feelings] of forgetfullness and feelings of loss....pertaining his....be second nature.

"Still working through grief....

"...experienced uncontrollable...felt he was "going over the edge"...able to keep him steady...co-worker, Calleigh"

I think that before the co-worker, Calleigh part, it said something like (*AND I AM GUESSING HERE PEOPLE*)

[someone] able to keep him steady. [has expressed interest in] co-worker Calleigh.

So if my guess is correct, Cal really doesn't know what Eric wants. She doesn't know that he likes her (although i am pretty sure she has figured it out by now). She doesn't know the whole "Thinking about my future, settling down. It would be nice if it were Calleigh"

It also works the other way. Eric thinks that the above mentioned quote is in there, but that Cal is just not interested. He isn't even positive that she IS mentioned in his file, and to what extent she is if so.

Talk about a communications error. :guffaw: What do y'all think?

I don't believe it! I've just spent ages putting down my ramblings only to have my computer time out on me and lose it all!

Anyhow I'll try again. I've just watched these scenes on YouTube and I have to say I agree with you. We are so used to seeing Calleigh use evasive answers in response to personal questions - a perfect example in ep. 7:03 when asked by Eric whether or not she had read his file, "would it matter if I did?" Replying to a question with a question - a classic diversionary tactic! She smiled, lots, made lots of eye contact and answered the question directly. Nothing at all suggested she was remotely uncomfortable with the question. Granted, the answer was a bit lame. This is Eric Delko we're talking about. Where would you rather be??!!! She did seem to be pleased that he'd asked. Personally so am I - gone was the unsure Eric from the previous episode. He seemed more at peace with himself - almost like he has made a decision after the events of last week to at least begin to let Calleigh know exactly what he wants (or is that just my wishful thinking?). I'm just hoping that this more demostrative Eric, coupled with what we know about about the next episode can only lead to them finally acknowledging the feelings they have for each other.

Oh and I can't go without mentioning the truffle moment - the romantic in me, which I try my hardest to hide, went all gooey. A small gesture but very thoughtful one and proof (hopefully) that Eric has now decided to grab the proverbial bull by the horns and go get his girl!!!

Good catch. I always though it looked like the words on the paper didn't match what was being said. But I don't have the patience to check it out. Glad you did. But I agree....I think "what we have here is a failure to communicate." :)

But here's to hoping  that it call comes out loud and clear in 7x14

No, I don't think that's wishful thinking, I agree with you. He seemed so much more at ease in last night's episode, like he made the decision to make it clear to her how he felt. Seems he was going to do it after work, and darn it she wasn't available. I have to believe that if the trainer hadn't offered to take her riding, or if Eric had caught up to her before she left, she would NOT have gone riding... she would have left with Eric to have that conversation.

And, like you, my romantic side went all mushy when he was leaving her the truffles.

Damn these next two weeks are going to go by so darn slowly. But the good news, at least for me, is that I do not have to be out of town that Monday, so I will be there with my DVR to rewatch the important stuff (and we all know what THAT is ;)) right after it ends.

What the heck is going on with this horse trainer. Calleigh sees him for 3 minutes and is making googly eyes at him. YUCK!!! What are the writers doing!! Seven years is more than long enough!! I am getting very mad with the way they keep leading you two steps forward with them and than three steps back. They have got to stop and just let them get together!!! I think that horse trainer is russian mob though so maybe Eric will have to save Calleigh afterwards I hope they finally admit their feelings for each and spare me having to wait another seven years!!

I hope so too. It would be disappointing if something about the truffles isn't mentioned. Next step for Eric will be to give her flowers, after all girls love flowers and then confess his feelings for her once and for all!!

Oh yeah, I really really hoping that the comment about the flowers somehow makes it into ep 714!! It would be sooo cute and actually have continuity within the show!!

No Kimbo, you need to go back about 5 or 6 pages and read the posts! If I didn't keep up in here I would think she was out to get the trainer, but shes not! The writters just like to play with us and try to make us think other thing are happening. Calleigh only has eyes for Eric, and well the Horse! Lol!

I really do hope that Alex plays a part in getting these two together in the next Episode. I would like to see her walk in on them when they are about to kiss or maybe they are kissing! I think it would be cute and funny! As long as Wolfe or Damn it Frank don't come bustin through the door at the wrong time again!

Yuk reruns for the next week! Does anyone know what they are showing yet? Jeez I hope its something Hiphuggy because I have my wisdom teeth cut out Monday and I don't know it i'll be able to stand being subjected to a crappy no Hiphuggin episode!!!! Lol!

Jessica Wheres the rest of our Christmas FanFic that you still haven't finished??? I would like to read the ending! Lol!!! by the way the one last week was good to!!!
