Forgive the disjointedness, I'm still groggy from my cold medicine.
I really found the Cooper/Calleigh storyline to be the best part of the episode. That dude is seriously misguided. Kudos to Eric for sticking up for Calleigh. She's been through some tough times this season and from the end of the episode, looks like she's in for more.
I cracked up so much at the bouncing picture of Jake on Cooper's site. That was beautiful. Though, I'm not saying he should die but it was funny. And the reference to Speed and Hagen were a nice touch in the episode. It was like a reunion of sorts.
I thought Valera seemed a bit out of place. Shouldn't she be the one running DNA, not Natalia? Not that I have any qualms with Nat doing DNA analysis since it's her specialty but she's a CSI now and I'd like to see Valera a bit more.
Poor Eric still needs a list of things to check off when heading to an investigation. I'm glad his storyline is still being brought forth and hasn't been forgotten. The subtle additions are nice.
Like I guessed, Yelina was in the episode for 2 minutes and then she was nowhere to be seen. Oh well, later that night I was able to see Sofia Milos on 'The Border', despite my family's moaning and groaning about it.
Horatio....*sigh* Planet Earth would love your company if you were willing to come back down. The Brazil thing is a piece of garbage.
Of course he'll come out of it perfectly fine like usual. Can't he just scrape his knee or something for the character's sake? Please?
But ZOMG he wore a lab coat. TWICE. *iz proud* Maybe there's hope for him yet.
As for Julia, I kind of understand her motives but she seemed a little like the damsel in distress over that Ron guy. Don't let him grab you. Brake his nose. And yeah, sending Horatio to Brazil isn't going to get rid of him. He's HORATIO CAINE.
It was nice to see Stetler again but I'm kind of sad that he only showed up for 2 minutes. He must be happy to see Horatio gone though, heh. But he'll be back so, whatever.
And Kyle. *knocks on the wardobe people* Kids do not wear that. Ever. He probably wouldn't be caught dead wearing that off set. Put him in a t-shirt and jeans like every other teenager.
Overall, good episode. I really enjoyed the Cooper thing, I wish that had taken up more of the episode, but hey I'm not a writer for the show.

I was shocked and happy to see that. Though isn't it a conflict of interest for him to be processing evidence for this case.....with the whole Julia/Kyle custody thing?
You would think so, but then again finding out who was trying to screw with Calleigh would be a conflict of interested when she entered Cooper's house. Ah Miami

Colour of the day seemed to be yellow, made me giggle.
My family commented on that. My dad said "What, so it's yellow day today?" He didn't know they seem to colour coordinate now.

He got to show his soft side though and that was really cool to see. Did anyone else notice that he's starting to take over Cooper's job? Lately it seems that that's all he's ever working on; I thought he was a trace specialist, so what gives?
I tend to think that earlier he was just filling in, in Trace. I don't think that's his specialty...unless I'm wrong. But it would be nice to see him out in the field and away from the computer. Maybe he was placed there after being brought back?

And although I cringe at using the F-A-M-I-L-Y word in here in case I jinx myself, I absolutely ADORED the fact that the team is finally starting to act like a real team or family again. You could tell there was a lot of caring and concern for each other and they all worked together and communicated.

I also thought it was sweet how Nat seemed so worried about Cal. I loved Ryan too - that scene w/him and Cal was really sweet, where he was trying to convince her to track down the guy and Cal was trying to stay focused on the case
I love the team interaction in this episode.
They all seem a lot more together and that cohesion was really present last night. It made me all warm and fuzzy inside.
Something very rare for Miami these days. Hopefully it continues.

How the hell Horatio gets out of Brazil though.....

Was anyone bothered by the whole secen when H was in Rio? and the the gun clicks the the shots???
I was bothered by that entire scenario. That's one of the things the show has to improve upon--though everything seemed pretty good last night considering. The whole Brazil thing kind of ruined it for me.

For once Stetler was a good guy. That shocked me!
See, I didn't think he was being the 'good guy' but I did like that he wasn't rubbing it in Horatio's face and he seemed a bit, hmm, shocked? by it?

I wanted to beat Cooper to death for what he did to Cal. I was SO happy when Eric attacked him!
I was happy too.
I wanted to throw in some mud and...well, okay, maybe not mud.
But the scene was awesome. I was hoping for Eric to really lay into him. Kudos to him for staying relatively restrained though.

I think Cooper is beyond miffed, he got caught, he thinks it's unfair, so now he wants revenge, and he's going to take it out on the person that caused his unfairness.
Calleigh didn't cause the unfairness. Cooper caused it by being stupid and getting caught. It's all on him, it just so happens that someone found out and thus thinks it's 'unfair'.
The fact that Calleigh didn't turn him in should have been a godsend to him. He has some great logic, huh. He's become really spineless lately. I really liked him too.
