The <I>CSI</I> series are up for Emmy consideration in acting, writing and directing categories.<p>All three members of the <I>CSI</I> franchise have actors and episodes on the nomination ballot for the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards. The official nominations will be chosen from this ballot, and the nominees will be announced Thursday, July 16. <font color=yellow>Chandra Wilson</font> (<I>Grey's Anatomy</I>) and <font color=yellow>Jim Parsons</font> (<I>Big Bang Theory</I>) will make the announcements along with Television Academy chair <font color=yellow>John Shaffner</font>.<p><I>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation</I> and <I>CSI: New York</I> have been submitted for consideration in the "Outstanding Drama Series" category. Stars from each show have been submitted in the actor categories. <font color=yellow>William Petersen</font> (Gil Grissom) and <font color=yellow>Laurence Fishburne</font> (Dr Ray Langston) were submitted in the "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series" category for <I>CSI</I>, along with fellow star <font color=yellow>George Eads</font> (Nick Stokes). <font color=yellow>Marg Helgenberger</font> (Catherine Willows) was submitted for "Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series". <I>CSI: Miami</I> stars <font color=yellow>David Caruso</font> (Horatio Caine) and <font color=yellow>Emily Procter</font> (Calleigh Duquesne) were submitted in the lead categories for their show. For <I>New York</I>, <font color=yellow>Gary Sinise</font> (Mac Taylor) and <font color=yellow>Melina Kanakaredes</font> (Stella Bonasera) are up for consideration.<p>All three members of the franchise submitted entries for "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series" and "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series". <I>CSI</I> put <font color=yellow>Eric Szmanda</font> (Greg Sanders) and <font color=yellow>Robert David Hall</font> (Dr Al Robbins) on the ballot. <font color=yellow>Adam Rodriguez</font> (Eric Delko), <font color=yellow>Jonathan Togo</font> (Ryan Wolfe) and <font color=yellow>Eva La Rue</font> (Natalia Boa Vista) were submitted for <I>Miami</I>, and <I>CSI: NY</I> offered <font color=yellow>Carmine Giovinazzo</font> (Danny Messer), <font color=yellow>Hill Harper</font> (Dr Sheldon Hawkes) and <font color=yellow>AJ Buckley</font> (Adam Ross).<p>The "Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series" and "Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series" categories received submissions from <I>CSI</I> and <I>New York</I>. Former <I>CSI</I> series regular <font color=yellow>Jorja Fox</font> (Sara Sidle) was entered for <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/csi/season9/the_happy_place.shtml">"The Happy Place"</a>, the episode in which she revisited the Pamela Adler case from season one's <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/csi/season1/too_tough_to_die.shtml">"Too Tough to Die"</a>. <font color=yellow>Glenne Headly</font> was also nominated for her role in "The Happy Place". Headly played Viviana Conway, aka Madame Marvelous, a hypnotist with a penchant for robbing banks. <font color=yellow>Tippi Hedren</font> was nominated for <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/csi/season9/young_man_with_a_horn.shtml">"Young Man With a Horn"</a>, in which she played Karen Rosenthal, the owner of an old Vegas casino where her husband was murdered 50 years ago.<p><I>CSI: NY</I> submitted several guest stars for Emmy consideration. <font color=yellow>Ed Asner</font> is on the ballot for his role in <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/newyork/season5/yahrzeit.shtml">"Yahrzeit"</a>. He played a Jewish clockmaker, Abraham Klein, who had a sinister secret lurking in his past. Two actors were submitted for <A class="link" HREF="http://www.csifiles.com/episodes/newyork/season5/greater_good.shtml">"Greater Good"</a>: <font color=yellow>Mare Winningham</font> and <font color=yellow>Charles S Dutton</font>. Winningham played Katharine Donovan, a grieving mother out for revenge.
