Re: Delko Drool Thread #6 -- In Soviet Russia, Delko Drools
I'm more confused because Soviet Russia existed only from 1917 to 1922. And it's different from Soviet Union. So the comedian needs to be really, really old if he has lived in Soviet Russia.
But from quote so yeah... I stop wondering this.

It's a reference to a quote from Family Guy.
When Peter gets his new car, it has an on board computer navigtion system. It has three languages, standard (English), Spanish, and Yakov Smirnoff. (Yakov Sminoff is a comedian that came to the U.S. from Russia. Most of his jokes refer to the differences of living in Soviet Russia and in the United States. Most people find his jokes to get really old really fast.) In 'Yakov Smirnoff mode' the car first says "In Soviet Russia, car drives you!" Later on in the episode it says "Turn right at fork on road. In Soviet Russia, road forks you!" Following this Peter says to Louis "Boy is this getting really old."
Of course, since Eric is half Russian, the joke is that in the United States, we drool over Delko. But in Soviet Russia, Delko drools us!
