I think that a jealous Lindsay might show up with the new detective, but that's just me. The new girl, flirting with Danny -- Lindsay, thinking "Back off, that's my man."

Mmmmm, jealous-Linds...I'm a bit more touchy on that one...not sure why, but I don't like that as much. As long as it's like Danny mentions a girl, Linds gets jealous and then finds out it's Danny's sister...that's fine, quick, little angst without much pain! Anything longer...not so good, I don't want to see her hurt. Ya know?!

Yeah, I could see her being jealous of the new detective. But how do you think she would show it? Like would she say something or do something, or nothing at all?

I think she would give Danny the cold shoulder, act really snarky about the new detective. Lindsay wouldn't outright show her distaste for the new detective, but she would certainly show in small ways that she was mad at Danny for his flirting and annoyed at the detective.

Danny would get angry at the way Lindsay was treating him, because he's just a natural flirt and what he's doing with the detective -- it doesn't mean anything, and the only girl he sees is Lindsay.

Yeah I could see her being jealous of the new detective...which is why I'm wary of that whole story line. **grumbles and threatens TPTB with serious bodily harm if they mess with D/L that way!** As for what she'd do...I could see her not being overtly mean, but just acting short and annoyed...definitely not really befriending the girl.
If they did decide to use the girl to make Linds jealous, I would love for her to actually just talk to Danny about it. I mean I know that's NOT normal, especially for tv...but I'd love it, if they showed her being jealous, and then later like in the locker room or something...
Danny says like "Hey Montana, what's goin' on with you?" and she goes "Nothing Danny" and he pushes a bit and says "Come on Montana, I know you a little better then that, what's up?" and finally she spills it and tells him what she's feeling. And he grins and tells her she has nothing to worry about and then...hugs/kisses/etc her! :D What do you think?! :lol:

That's a good scenario, Moriel, and I know all of us DL fans would love to see some kissing going on, but I doubt TPTB would do anything of that sort -- might turn the show into a soap opera. I think Danny might say something along the lines of, "Don't mean nothin', Lindsay. You know you're the only woman in my life."

And it would be cute, and perfectly Danny.

I feel the exact same! I could never see Lindsay being outright mean to someone, so for me, the cold shoulder and snark are really the only options to show her jealousy.

that was like 4 pages in four days lol. So many posts to read. You guys are really funny.
I personnally would rather Danny being the one to get jealous because i think he would actually make a move once he realizes that other men want Lindsay too. But since danny is kind of known as a player, the only way i see lindsay getting jealous enough to make a move is if Danny were to flaunt his girlfriend around. I think watching Lindsay get angry and make danny's gf uncomfortable would be fun to watch though.

Yeah cold shoulder and the snark...but that to me is soap-opera-ish and I don't want to see the show go in that direction...for that matter, anything more then a momentary jealousy would be soap-opera-ish in my book. So momentary jealousy from either one, go for it! Just resolve it quickly! Anything longer and I don't think it'd fit the show! :D

I personnally would rather Danny being the one to get jealous because i think he would actually make a move once he realizes that other men want Lindsay too.

I'm only talking like an episode of cold shoulder, not half a season. The momentary jealousy would pass, then there would be sweet loving all around and pretty babies. Mmm.
