And *ahem* I recently stumbled over a certain Flack-centric writer's LJ ... seems the person isn't happy about the D/F love going around the CSI:NY Flack threads. And yes, before you ask, the person can't see Danny and Flack together. At all. :p

Huh. Makes me not-so-happy that I pimped her fics so hard, eh? ;) How would she feel if she knew I was tossing them out to D/F fans? :p

And you know, I'm so sick of seeing people on other sites, etc. talking about how they don't like what's happening on TalkCSI. I mean, come on people, if you don't like the direction of the conversation, it's not going to change if you don't actually say something, is it? :rolleyes: If people have a problem with the D/F stuff happening in the regular NY forum, it doesn't take too much effort to start a discussion with a different point, you know? If this certain Flack-centric writer has an account over here, maybe she should go into the Flack thread and say something. People don't have to be rude to share their feelings. If generally the only ones who are posting in a thread are people who support this ship, then how can other people complain when it starts to dominate conversation? :rolleyes: And it's not just that person--I've read comments on a completely different message board about how much D/F is in the NY forum. Did the person say anything on the actual board he/she was scoffing about? No. So how would things change? :rolleyes: [/rant]

Too bad we can't have an entire forum dedicated to this ship, where we could talk about them together to our hearts content and not worry about offending people who 'just don't see it.' :lol: Hell, we could, but I don't know how to start a forum. :p

A Danny/Flack haven? *sighs* That sounds incredble. It would awsome! We could talk about them all day, everyday with only other D/F fan among us. A real D/F paradise. :D

Okay, guys, after some thought, and seeing the reactions in the CSI:NY forums, I'd like to bring up the issue of D/F seeping into a lot of the threads there. Guess me being the Shipper Mod, I oughta say something about ship wars possibly breaking out ...I sure wouldn't wanna be in Top41's or MrsGiovinazzo's place if that happened! :eek:

Now, ya all know me, I'm one of the biggest D/F fans around. :D It always makes me smile knowing more and more people are supporting our ship. However, I think that we should minimize the D/F talk there, and keep the fun and excitement here in the D/F ship thread instead. Awww, yes, I know how difficult it is to contain the D/F luv from spreading. :devil: :lol:

But in the interest of being fair to the other NY ships, and keeping the peace, I feel it's wise to not go shoving our ship into other people's faces, unintentional or not. (Although I can't imagine anyone not thinking Danny and Flack together is hot. :p) Keep it to a minimum there, and if people want to chat more about D/F, lead them here instead.

What do you all think?

Yeah, well. I'm a 'Roleplayer' if you will, and I haven't been able to find anyone who will roleplay this pairing yet. So when I found this thread I like, went all spaz-tastic and started hyperventalating. <3

You.. could, you know. We could make a website thing. There are a bunch of places you can do it with; proboards, invisionfree, acornrack, avidgamers. And we wouldn't have to worry. =D

I agree with Kimmy about our D/F love seeping into the NY forum. That's one of the main reasons I'm thinking about starting a little free message board, to keep things nice in there and also allow D/F fans to branch out into more than one thread. ;)

So here's what I've been doing--I was looking around at free message boards. Now don't get me wrong, I love TalkCSI, but I was thinking that, if D/F shippers had a forum where they were specifically supposed to bring a little slashy-goodness into every thread, it might keep the D/F stuff from encroaching on the NY forum so much (because I know it bothers some people, although they won't say anything and therefore can't really expect a change in what happens :rolleyes:). Anyway, I was looking into that InvisionFree board system, which seems like an okay choice for a free board (because I'm cheap, ya know ;)). It's the type of board those Danny/Lindsay people use, so I've seen what it basically looks like. Anyway, do you think I should make a D/F board? If so, do you have any ideas for what it should be called? I need to come up with a board name between 3 and 20 characters (I don't know if / is allowed in a title...). In any case, I thought I'd bring it up and see what you guys think.

So basically, if I'm going to open it, I need a bit of advice:
1.)Does anybody advise a different choice than InvisionFree for the board? and
2.)What should we call this board? ;)

I'd be up for that Fay as long as it doesn't detract from this thread, this thread is teh shizzle ;)

But it would help with us "infesting" all the other threads with our ship :lol:

I've no idea what to call it though :confused: We could use the whole "haven" idea as Haven are a holiday business here, and the board is meant to be a sort of "getaway" if ya get me?
 
Well, personally I'm an acornrack.com fan, but as that takes some pretty big knowledge of HTML, I don't know how you would do with that. As for taking away from this forum; no. I'm still gunna come here anyways. And for names? Erm. -shifty eyes- Heck if I know. I was never any good with names, sorry.

Well forgive me for being a loser here, but I'm jumping back to page nine for a second. Someone said something about cannon relationships ending bad. Well then. I hope if it happens, 'Montana' will end up.. dead..? Sorry to all of you 'Montana' fans out there, but really now. I've never liked her much.
 
Now now, anubite, be nice. ;) Lindsay could be very likeable in season 3 even if you don't like her so far. ;)

Er, knowledge of HTML? Yeah, not really a good idea for Teh Fay. :lol: At this point I'll probably just stick with the InvisionFree unless I get any other suggestions that don't highlight my total lack of computer skills. :lol:

But I don't think having another forum would detract from this thread. I'm still going to spend a helluva lot of time on this site (being a mod and all ;)), and I wouldn't dream of neglecting Shipper Central after it's given my little shipper heart so much. *huggles the forum* ;) :lol: Besides, not everybody is going to want to join another board. ;)

Hmm...board names...Well, I just checked, and a board on InvisionFree can only have numbers and letters in the name, so we need to come up with something that doesn't require the /. *is thoughtful* Too bad our ship doesn't have a name, eh? :lol:
 
A D/F board sounds like a great idea. It's so hard to keep the D/F love out of the other threads. It would be great if they had their own board.

As for a title name. Do you have examples of other title names? I've never been to any other message board except TalkCSI.

Yeah, sorry for being a loser. And if I could talk my friend into it, we COULD use acornrack, 'cause she would probably make us a kick-ass layout, featuring Danny and Flack together.

But invisionfree is good. I like using it more than Proboards and Avidgamers, so it would be my second choice. -sings to CSI: NY theme- Gawd, I'm such a geek. -solves rubik's cube.- Told you.
