CSI: The Movie?!

They showed Grave Danger AS a movie on Casino Cinema (Thank god for spike, channel of CSI marathons weekly <3) and I think that if they did a movie, it would HAVE to be a three way crossover.

And Johnny Depp would make it all the more sexy. I think he was really good in Secret Window, and I know that on CSI they deal with a fair share of criminally insane people, so I dunno, thats actually a brilliant idea. =)

No CSI three ways is a bad idea, way too many people. If they are gonna do it they gotta do it with the original, the fans of the other shows will see it nevertheless

A CSI movie needs balance and would deviate from the show a lot. We'd be talking a 3 hours movie for starters, 2 hours is just 2.5x the length of a normal episode, gotta go for at least 2.5 hours in total length.

As for the theme song, be prepared to watch it go out the window if they do a movie. You don't really do opening credit montages for the best movies, only the cheesy action/comic book ones.

A acceptable plot for a Vegas one would have to entail someone dying at the end, and would be a very fitting segway to WP leaving the series. It would also have to be a very deep and disturbing case, and would involve something bad happening to the lab in general, or the police department. Mad bomber, toxic gas, etc.

Miami I would not go see, I absiolutely HATE Horatio Caine, the guy always seems to knwo what happened, and they spend the rest of the damn episode proving it. I also can't get past how horrible an actor David Carusso is with his long dramatic pauses where no pause is needed.

New York on the other hand definitely has plenty of fodder for a CSI movie, and I can tell you right now any movie based on CSI NY would have terrorism in it. If the CSI head office in CSI NY is in the Empire State Building as I believe it is, it does open up storyline possibilities.

The worst storyline for any of them would be a shotgun blast of cases with an over arc because it would be too much. In a normal 2.5 hour run of CSI, the viewer will be exposed to on average 4 case, sometimes as few as 1, sometimes, 2, and sometimes 6 or 8... but on average 4 cases each on average 22.5 minutes long. It gives me a headache just trying to think of keeping all those straight.

It would be great is Max Allan Collins hooked up for the movie, as his CSI novels are great, and the cases seem to have more depth than your standard TV case.

I think a CSI Movie of all 3 would be cool, something like
"CSI's Clue" would be interesting. Have the cast of all 3 have to figure out which one of them killed one of their own. Or have one of FanFic writters make it famous and direct an CSI movie that would be awesome too because they are all very talented.

A CSI Movie would be awesome :)But I think if they decided to do it, it should be at the end of the road. It could be like the final episode for the programme but a movie! and then do something really dramatic and cool! :D :D

It'd be wonderful if it one day ever go out! What a big new. But I agree with the fact that they should do smtg such as Grave Danger.. That was really.. wow, and I won't neglect an hour and a half (or more, who knows :) ) of my favourite show ^^

A CSI movie is a cool idea... but not a "three-way". Certain characters hardly get any screen time now... can you imagine with all three CSI'S?!!? Outside of Grissom, Mac, and Horatio we probably would barely see the other characters. Even then they would have to make sure that Grissom, Mac and HOratio get their "story time".

Maybe a three-part movie (ala "PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN) where it starts in one place(Miami) moves to another city (NY) and ends in the thrid city (Vegas).

I would want to be able to see the ENTIRE cast of each show in the movie, not just a few minutes here and there. THat would be fun. It would be more fun (and gory) if Tarantino directs!!

I guess the cast members from new york and miami could make cameos, that would be kinda cool I guess

Okay we are getting into the three shows so what I am doing is shipping this to General discussion.

I think it has to be all three shows, but some characters would have to be pushed to background.

Obviously, Grissom, Horatio, and Mac would get the most screen time. But who else?

(this is completely subjective. Feel to agree or disagree).

Tier 0: Grissom, Horatio, Mac
Tier 1: Catherine, Eric, Stella
Tier 2: Warrick, Nick, Calleigh
Tier 3: Danny, Greg, Ryan, Hawkes
Tier 4: Sara, Lindsay, Natalia
Tier 5: Sofia, Frank, Brass, Flack
Tier 6: Robbins, Alexx, Hammerback

I'm assuming (and I'm purely assuming) that, if there's a triple cross-over movie, the top three is set.

However, after Tier 1 and definitely after 2, things are a bit shaky for me (and perhaps for the rest of you as well).

However, my bigger point is, essentially, two first two tiers (whoever they really are) will suck up most of the time. Grissom, Horatio, and Mac are given.

A triple-crossover could mean that they would focus mostly on them, with dashes of the rest here and there. I agree; they would suck most of time.

However, some have implied, though not explicitly stated, that those three having the most time with all others pushed aside would be bad. I disagree on that. I would love to see all three leads interacting, and if they are the only main focuses, that's fine with me - as long as they do it well, I'm fine with it. In fact, if there is a triple-crossover movie, they should ONLY focus on those three. If it's NOT a triple-crossover movie, that's another story, but it it is, the leads need to not only take most of time, but all of it.

I don't think it is necessary. A all-shows-crossover-on-CBS is fine for me. In fact, it sounds really exciting... but if they have a movie, I'm almost afraid that they'll go overboard.
If there's not a problem, then don't fix it.

This is a great idea.

It should have all three CSIs. I always wondered what would happen if Grissom, Horatio and Mac worked on a case together. A movie would be long enough for the cast of all three CSIs.

If they want to do a three-CSI episode, they should do it on CBS. The ratings would be enormous, and they could make it the length of a movie if they carried it over the course of a week. 23 characters is way too many to try and squeeze into a movie, and I think by having 3 CSI's would actaully turn people off, because a lot of people have only seen Vegas (hence has and have had the highest ratings). I doubt they would be able to convince WP to have a movie with all 3, I doubt he would ever do it.
