Re: CSI: NY Season 5 Spoiler Dicussion - Back in the Big Apple

Matt Mitovich from TVGuide.com has a preview of November sweeps. What he says about CSI: NY isn't anything we don't already know, but I thought his comment was mildly amusing. Here it is.

On CSI: NY's 100th episode, when a killer targets Mac Taylors, seemingly half of Hollywood guest-stars. No, really.

Re: CSI: NY Season 5 Spoiler Dicussion - Back in the Big Apple

I hope this is the right thread to ask this. I have seen numerous times stated on this board that Danny and Lindsay were not meant to be together in the first 4 episodes of this season but things changed because AB became pregnant. Has any statement ever been issued about this from TPTB? Because I havent been able to find anything that supports that theory.

Kristine asked Peter Lenkov about another Man for Lindsay and he flat out ignored the question. Only mentioning that the storyline had changed but Rikki would still be returning. Nothing was ever stated as far as I can tell that suggested D and R would hook up or that L would find a new man, or that D and L broke up, or if they did, wouldnt end up together in the end anyways.

Nothing was ever stated by TPTB about Rikki coming back pregnant either, as far as I can tell it was all speculation. Also PV said that when they filmed PF back in March they TPTB had no idea AB was pregnant, now that says to me at the time she was, just they didnt know about it. Now by the method of deduction I would assume that makes AB around 6 or 7 months along,(since she is due early next year) so I would assume that TPTB knew right around the time PF aired. Remembering back to the spoilers from that time TPTB said D/L fans wouldnt be dissapointed and would like how the season ended for D and L. I think its highly possible that TPTB were going to reveal the exact same thing(L being pregnant) at the end of last season, but because of the timing couldn't really do the storyline justice in the limited time they had left without it seeming rushed or not making sense.(Like when did D and L sleep together when they werent even talking) So scrapped the idea, until this season where they had better time to really think about how they were going to play it and could at least come up with something beliveable as to when the child was conceived.

And in regards to PV's "eyes for someone else comment" its highly possible "that someone" is connected to L's family seeing as though it seems that is the possible direction they are going for to explain L's absence while AB is on maternity. So if L goes home to Montana to sort out personal family stuff that involves a member of her family (brother, father, nephew) that could certainly explain that comment. It certainly doesnt have to mean in a romantic sense, to me it just means that her attention is focused on someone else, not Danny. And the attractive comment could have been added as a way to throw people off from the real direction they were going, because I highly doubt TPTB wanted to reveal L being pregnant that far out from the premiere.

Could also explain why Danny goes through stuff that doesnt involve Lindsay, if she's not there, that makes perfect sense. So does the saving D thing too, she may come back just in time to rescue him from whatever crap he is going through or maybe its his child that rescues him.

What TPTB say only have to make sense in the heads of TPTB. We need to remember TPTB know how the season is going to play out, we dont. Its also in the best interests of TPTB to say stuff to get us talking, and I think we all agree, it certainly did that.

I take it from the spoiler pics the victim found alive is Rumer Willis, it would fit with the pics of Stella processing her.

I have a question, is this the ep Adam asks Stella if she wants to go for a pizza or is it an earlier ep? I have quite enjoyed the odd moments between them, it's kinda cute but I hope they dont push it into awkward and cringe making. I havent seen this weeks ep but I have read some comments that they thought it was a bit overdone in that ep.

Also are there any other hints about what the other plot development for Hawkes may be?

Re: CSI: NY Season 5 Spoiler Dicussion - Back in the Big Apple

celebrating the 100th episode is great obviously. but the fact that a LOT of hollywood guest stars coming up is scaring me. it's like hollywood overload lol. idk. i kinda feel uncomfortable with this. but come on. it's the hundredth episode. i guess they wanna come out with a bang.. or should i say.. BOOM. lol.

anways abit offtopic, is inspector gerrard, the guy who shot the other guy who raped his daughter or something, coming back?

Aha,yeah that is possible but then it means the rest get killed or maybe one of them is the killer, that would be something else.

According to this article Rumer Willis' character 'escapes the clutches of the serial killer'. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbi...Willis-escapes-clutches-serial-killer-TV.html

   Go back and read the spoilers pre-509.

Your arrogant assumptions are so amusing. He answered the question by saying, like you mention below:

Only mentioning that the storyline had changed but Rikki would still be returning.

The storyline changed says it all. We can speculate all we want about this. If you want to believe that TPTB intended to make Lindsay pregnant all along and that it wasn't just the result of Anna's real life pregnancy, be my guest.

And in regards to PV's "eyes for someone else comment" its highly possible "that someone" is connected to L's family seeing as though it seems that is the possible direction they are going for to explain L's absence while AB is on maternity. Right! It was all to throw us spoiler hounds off. Of course!

Super!Baby to the rescue! Someone make sure that baby is given a cape, not a blanket when he/she is born!

______

The Mac Taylor guest star thing from TV Guide is funny--seriously, talk about stunt casting overdose!

I hope you don't mean the report itself was confusing. I tried, I really did!

That was my assumption as well.

Yes, 5.08 is the episode where he may or may not ask her out.

It's not necessarily that it was overdone in this episode, it just seemed a lot more obvious than it has been in the past, like maybe they're trying to push it. It's been there before - and it's been cute - but they really shouldn't have to push it.

Also are there any other hints about what the other plot development for Hawkes may be?
I'm not sure which one you're referring to - but we do know that an ex-girlfriend shows up in 5.12 who had been raped, and we find out a bit about Sheldon and their relationship throughout the episode.

anways abit offtopic, is inspector gerrard, the guy who shot the other guy who raped his daughter or something, coming back?
At this point, it's anybody's guess. I'd like to see him back, but there's nothing to indicate it so far.

Super!Baby to the rescue! Someone make sure that baby is given a cape, not a blanket when he/she is born!
Holy crap! Is Horatio the real father?!

I just had to quote this part of the article:

The killer is targeting people with the name Mac Taylor, the name of the show's lead detective, who is played by Terminator 2 star Gary Sinise.

Whut? Gary wasn't in Terminator 2.

Re: CSI: NY Season 5 Spoiler Dicussion - Back in the Big Apple

 Ah, Gary Sinise in Terminator 2. That would have been awesome. I've already mentioned in the news thread that this storyline makes me think of Terminator, perhaps I'm not the only one... I tell you, Mac Taylor will be the leader of the resistance! ;)

Ah, good lord, how did I miss that? Probably something to do with the fact the Daily Mail, like most tabloids is rarely factually accurate so you learn to skim read for the important bits. :)

Re: CSI: NY Season 5 Spoiler Dicussion - Back in the Big Apple

I wonder who they're confusing him with--Robert Patrick maybe?
