I'm very glad Hrockz that you decided that Yelina should discover the photograph. I was surprised you didn't write about that sooner but I'm very glad you did! Wanted to know her reaction.

Yep, we certainly do. Especially when they can handle spiders. SpeedsDaughter your code name is 'Speedy' and you'll attend the next boot camp, which ought to be soon as it has been a while. What do you say task force? Where should it be this time? I'm thinking we need some survival training, so jungle, desert or arctic? (Please don't choose arctic ). Brrrrrrr.

Can't decide between arctic (snowball fights!) or the desert (sun!). Snowboarding, polar bears, late nights around a big fire, passing along a bottle to keep us warm... I think I'l go with arctic, sry Loony.

Oh, right. Didn't think about that. Hmmm. But I've been in a jungle before and I didn't see any spiders. Probably because I didn't want to...
But if we have a couple of spider-killers/removers I think we'll be alright. Snowball fights are a plus, you're right, but since I've been cold all summer (bloody rotten weather) I'll vote for somewhere warm...

Tati what happened to spider pig? I liked him. I prefer 'Bones' to 'House' personally.
Yelina nodded and pulled a chair next to Horatio. She knew this was coming.
"You er..., we're living in the same house but you seem kinda distant lately." He paused. "Are you avoiding me?"
Yelina smiled but offered no explaination. It unnerved him and he rambled on.
"Something I did?" Horatio asked.
"No." Yelina said. "But you're right I have been trying to give you some space."
Horatio nodded not really understanding her reason for doing so. He adjusted his arm sling. Then cleared his throat.
"While you were away, I kept telling myself you were happy, in Brazil with Raymond. For a time I tried to forget you, I convinced myself it was all for the best. Then I thought I fell in love again." His blue eyes registed anguish and she knew he was talking about Marisol. He bowed his head.
"She kinda grew on me, I think maybe I felt she needed me to protect her... I was so used to looking out for you... I loved her for a time, but not like I love you." His eyes burned into hers. It held the depth of his emotions, he wasn't hiding anything. He was laying his heart out that night.
"I don't think I've ever loved anyone like I love you before." Horatio chuckled. "And you know what, we've never even been together, and I love you so much... sometimes it scares me to think of how much more I'd love you if we were together."
Yelina nodded. She understood what he said, for she felt the same. "I wanted you to believe we were happy in Brazil. You sent us there for a second chance... I thought Ray and I could be like old times. But I guess, I was wrong."
She reached out and slipped her hand in his. "We didn't ask to fall in love. But those years when Ray was away, and you were with me, I fell for you, harder than I thought I ever could for any man. I'll always love your brother, he gave me Ray Jr, and many happy memories."
Horatio smiled slightly. He squeezed her hand. "So where does that leave us?"
"A new start." Yelina smiled back. Her heart felt lighter. "Together."
They leaned towards each other for a long kiss. Horatio winced as he straighthened, but still smiled. He hadn't been this happy in a long time.
"Oh and you were asking why I'm avoiding you?" Yelina bated her eyelids. "I have you half-naked walking around my house for a week and I think I's better stay away from you, cos I'm not sure what I'd do if I let myself get too close to you. You know, how attracted I am to you."
Horatio laughed. "Sorry, it's jsut really hard to get a shirt on with all these broken bones."
He stood up. "You know what? Once I get all these casts and bandages off, you can get as close to me as you want."
Yelina laughed too. "That's promise I'm holding you to."
