*Amy Winehouse has checked into a treatment program according to a representative, in London. spokesman Chris Goodman said Friday that the 27-yr. old singer wants to be sure she's ready to perform in Europe this summer. The Priory Clinic where she's staying offers treatment for a range of psychiatric problems, as well as drug and alcohol addiction.~

*Paula Abdul said Friday that her reuniion with Simon Cowell on his new talent show is going great, for now. "we're still in the honeymoon phase, which will probably only last another minute", said the 48-yr. old Abdul in Sinapore. "Simon and I ended up having a wonderful exquisite, challenging and frightening relationship". The two famously bickered constantly on "American Idol"~

*Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and former TV sports reporter Candice Crawford have tied the knot in what was called the wedding of the year in Dallas. A local TV outlet said the nuptials were held Saturday evening at a historic mansion along Turtle Creek in upscale Dallas. The 30-yr. old Romo has been dating Crawford since late 20069. *Hollywood has hustled up a hangover for the record books~ "THE HANGOVER PART 2" set a new high for comedy debuts with $105.8 million over the long Memorial Day weekend according to studio estimates. The blockbuster sequel also led Hollywood to revenue record of around $280 million for the holiday weekend, according to box-office tracker Hollywood.com. That surpassed the previous record of $254.6 million in 2007. "The Hangover Part 2" raised it's domestic haul to $137.4 million since opening Thursday, nearly held the business of the 2009 original movie did over it's entire run. The sequel has added $60.3 million more in 40 countries overseas. The movie reunites stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galiflanakis as they awake in another haze and attempt to piece together the mayhem of their drunken night in Bangkok. Opening at No. 2 behind "Hangover" was another sequel, DreamWorks Animination's "KUNG FU PANDA 2" with $62.2 million. Slipping from 1st place to 3rd in it's 2nd weekend was Johnny Depp's "Pirates Of The Caribbean:On Stranger Tides", which took in $50.4 million. Business was up 45% from the lackluster 2010 holiday weekend, when revenues came in at just $192.5 million~

*MTV stated that Reese Witherspoon will receive it's Generation Award at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards. Witherspoon is being recognized for her range as an actress and for delighting the MTV President Stephen Friedman called Witherspoon "one of the most accomplished performers of her time". *Jimmy Fallon has written a love song to the Universal Studios Tour. Fallon wrote the tune, titled "Tram-tastic" as part of his role as the tour's new face and voice. Besides the song, the NBC last-night host created a series of video commentaries for the attraction. Fallon, who describes himself as a big fan of the Universal tour, visited the studio Thursday with a guitar in hand to perform his new song. *Jon Bon Jovi took a break from his worldwide concerts to engage in a different kind of tour..listening to the concerns of young people across the nation. The rocker visited a youth services center in Newark, N.J. Monday as the final stop on a "listening tour with disengaged youth", which he made stops in New Orleans, Atlanta and Houston. The intiative is part of the New Jersey native's role as a member of the White House Council for Community Solutions, which is looking at successful youth programs that can be replicated~

*Laurence Fishburne is closing the file on his "CSI" career. The actor won't be back on the CBS crime drama this fall, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Fishburne joined the "CSI"cast as Dr. Raymond Langston midway through the 2008-09 season. He stepped in to replace departing star William Petersen. The "person" says CBS are taking Fishburne's departure in stride, aware that his movie career made a long TV tenure unlikely~

*Brad Pitt and Angelna Jolie are donating $500,000 from their foundation to help Joplin rebiuild from the deadly tornado that struck southwest Missouri town last month. Pitt grew up in southwest Missouri and says in a news release that he spent much of his childhood in the area and knows the people to be "especially resilient".The May 22 tornado destroyed more than 8,000 homes and 400 businesses. The death toll was 151 as of last Friday~

NEW YORK (AP) - Saxophonist Clarence Clemons of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band has suffered a stroke.

A person who has worked with Clemons in the past confirmed Sunday night that Clemons had the stroke. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to speak on the matter. The person had no additional information on Clemons' condition.

Clemons is known as the Big Man in the E Street Band and his sax has been one of the most defining elements of the band's sound. He has suffered from numerous ailments over the last few years. He had double knee surgery and even had to perform from a wheelchair at one point.

But his health seemed to be improving. Just last month, he performed with Lady Gaga on the season finale of "American Idol."

He is 69 years old.
 
*Michael Bay says that Steven Spielberg demanded he "dismiss" Megan Fox for the 3rd "Transformers" film after she compared Bay to Hitler. Bay tells GQ magazine in an article appearing in the July issue that Spielberg, who is an executive producer on the film, told the director to "fire her right now" after Fox made the Hitler remark to a British magazine last year. Fox told the magazine before production began on the 3rd "Transformers" installment that Bay "wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is" The 25-year old actress was replaced by Victoria's secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in "Transformers"Dark Of The Moon", which opens next week~

*Yahoo News reporting that ABC's Diane Sawyer will interview kidnapping victim Jaycee Dugard in a two hour special program that will air on July 10. Dugard, now 31, whose mother lives in Riverside, was kidnapped at age 11 by Phillip and Nancy Garrido and held captive in Northern Calfornia for the next 18 years. Dugard and Sawyer will discuss Dugard's soon-to-be released memoir "A Stolen Life"~

*Jerry Lewis was hospitalized Friday after he was unable to perform at a whow in suburban Sydney, but his publicist said he was "simply overtired" and was released after a few hours. The 85 year old comedian/actor is on a fundraising tour for the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation Australia~

*Prince William and Kate tried out their French in public and put on their best British charm for screaming Canadians as the royal newlyweds began their first official overseas trip Thursday. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as they are formally known, thrilled crowds with warm, unscripted gestures, wading into throngs of well-wishers to shake hands and accept flowers and other gifts.
