Capture the Flag, CSI style

Sara felt a hand squeez her arm, and she knew quite quickly who's it was. Even if she could see, she wouldn't have needed to look...The woman kept her mouth shut for once, and sat quietly.

"I like work..." Kirsten said, momentarily wishing she was on the swing shift. But then again, life sucked on swing...Hey, her life was sucking anyway...

While everyone was having a miserable time in their own resepctive vans, the sheriff rounded up Ecklie and Sofia, who would oversee the event and serve as judges along with him.

The sheriff addressed Sofia and Ecklie, "Alright, so what exactly is the plan here?"

Sophia turned to the sheriff and said, "What do you mean? Both teams have no respect for each other, or for the department for that matter."

(I'm back, I know you all missed me, don't even lie)

"Of course you like work, Kirsten. You are always at work." Jessica said in the moment of heat, then instantly regrated it, but she wasn't going to take back what she said and appear like a wuss, she'd rather appear like a bitch.

Greg felt very uncomfotable in the silence that surrounded them in the van, but he didn't want to be the first that spoke, so he just sat there.

The sheriff chuckled, "The games are a little over the top. I'm not complaining, but wouldn't a seminar have worked just as well?"
Ecklie stared at the sheriff, ready to work some politics, "Well, a seminar couldn't have quelled those shifts. I mean, you can literally hear them yell. Is that a team? I think not."

Nick heard Greg's distinct voice. "Long time ago back in high school. Since then? It's only been team baseball games," the Texan replied, actually quite calm and relaxed given the circumstances.

Kirsten's head turned in the direction of Jessica's voice. "Apparently, I have nothing better to do then work. Why don't you try it sometime?" She snapped back.

Sara shook her head, though, it wouldn't really count as answer. Seeing as nobody could see anything. "No." She admitted lowly.

"Why don't you try getting a life! You max out on over-time every month! Do you have any free time? I mean, when was the last time you had any fun." Jessica shouted, there was no turning back out of this now. Then she added "Outside of work"

Greg looked towards the direction of Sara's voice. "Do you know how?"

Rliey sighed. "Ugh...this again"

Catherine decided to stay quiet. She really had nothing to say, even if she did, she would probably get chastized for it later, everyone was in a bad mood.

Sara answered Greg with a small, "Yeah."
--
Kirsten's frown deepened. "Well, obviously, I won't be able to count today." She hissed, before thinking about the answer to Jessica's question. "Yes, I may max-out on overtime. But at least I get my job done. Without anybody to hang around with, why have a personal life?"

"I get my job done too, and I still have a personal life. Or are you saying that I don't do my job as good as you?!" Jessica yelled back.

"I think we should think of a stragey." Greg said to everyone. "Got any ideas?"

Kirsten let out a low growl. "Maybe I am!" She barked back, clearly trying to cross the line. "Maybe I don't want a personal life, did you ever think about that?"

"Taking the blindfolds off would be a start." Sara said, a small frown pulling her lips down again.
