Oddly enough I'll listen to any Justin Timberlake sounds & I'll feel better. His sweet, sensual vocals & upbeat, catchy tempos always put a smile on my face, whether I'm sad or angry. One song in particular is "SexyBack", as that easily boosts my mood & confidence :D.

I go for a little classical piano when I feel the need to chill.....Anything ny Maksim seems to do the trick...
On another note when I'm in the car with my youngest (age 2)
    Nelly Furtado..Maneater
    Promiscuous
    Justin Timberlake...Sexyback

Thats the holy trinity of songs guaranteed to get her to sit still and bop along, instead of trying to undo seatbelts, doors, pulling hair etc....

There's a few that work for me lately.

All at Sea - Richard Walters
In The Arms Of An Angel - Sarah McLachlan...I have one of those right now, that are helping through a very rough point.
Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me - Elton John
Knocking on Heaven's Door - Elton John.

Ah H2H and ModernDayDrifter, how did I know it would be mostly country music?

Well, I usually listen to French music to calm down (The songs from the musical "Notre Dame de Paris" are AMAZING), but country music does the trick too. Namely:

    Aaron Lines
    Somebody's Son
    You Can't Hide Beautiful
    Cheaper to Keep Her

Aaron Pritchett *I have a thing for Aarons apparently
    Warm Safe Place
    Big Wheel
    Done You Wrong
    Hold My Beer
    New Frontier

    Brad Paisely
    Letter to Me
    Little Moments
    We Danced
    Mud On The Tires
    THE FISHIN' SONG!!! XD

    LeeAnn Rimes
    I Need You
'Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore (w/ Bon Jovi)

    Brooks & Dunn
    Building Bridges
    God Must Be Busy
    There Ain't Nothin' About You
    You Can't Take the Honkytonk
    Play Somethin' Country
    I Believe
    My Maria
    Boot Scootin' Boogie

Garth Brooks *Who I am worshipping right now*
    The Dance
    If Tomorrow Never Comes
    That Summer
    More Than a Memory

    Gary Allen
    Watchin' Airplanes
    Nothin' On but the Radio
    Best I Ever Had

    George Canyon
    I Want You To Live
    My Name

    Keith Urban
    Everybody
    Stupid Boy
I Wanna Love Somebody Like You
    I Told You So

    Kenny Chesney *drools*
    Don't Blink
    There Goes My Life
    Who You'd Be Today
    You Had Me From Hello
    You Saved Me
    She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy

    Lonestar
    I'm Already There
    Everything's Changed
    Let's Be Us Again
    I'm Gonna Smile
    Not A Day Goes By
Walkin' in Memphis *Hard not sing along with this song*
    Amazed
    Tell Her
    You're Like Comin' Home

I could go on forever, but I'll stop here.

    Calming effect?
May sound weird but Secret Garden always has a calming effect on me..Especially great to sleep to..

And the Cafe del Mar(2004 edition) is quite decent as well..

Well I find some rock music or japanese music calm to me. Right now I am listening to Sevendust "Seasons" and Gackt "Last Song" Anything with guitar in it calms me. I don't really listen to the words when trying ot relax. I listen to the background music.

    Moby. I really recomend 'porcaline'.

I love the undertones off it, it relaxes you, but evokes really strong emotions too. Go buy, it's great!

^^I love words, I can rarely listen to music to relax because, reguarldess of what it is, I end up singing along with it.

    But Moby really calms me.
