Bring It On Home To Me - II

Gibbs smiled at Tony, before putting his signal light on to go over into the parking lot, and parking, he turned towards him and licked his lips, "Now if at any time you want me to leave or you want to go my house, just say the word, ok?"

Tony looked over to Gibbs after unbuckling the seatbelt. "Boss.. The last thing I want you to do is leave," he said honestly. He really didn't want to be left alone for the night, because then he'd probably start getting paranoid.

Tony nodded lightly with a smile. He reached over and opened the car door, easing himself out and leaning against the car. It was then he realized a few things. Not only did his muscles ache, but so did his ribs and chest from hitting that van floor with no break, and a headache was coming on from when he gashed his head open. Something clicked in the back of his mind.

"Gibbs.. We made a stupid rookie mistake," Tony said weakly, turning to look over at Gibbs.

Gibbs raised an eyebrow, "And what mistake is that DiNozzo?" and walked around the side of the car where Tony was at, and leaned against it.

Tony lightly rubbed a hand across his face for a moment before sighing. "You didn't process me when I came back to NCIS.. Neither did Ducky. Everything is compromised," he said in a neutral tone. He'd only thought about the 'victim account' and completely disreguarded the evidence that was possibly on him.

"I'm okay, Cath," Nick told her, ignoring the pain from the blow to his head from the butt of the gun. "Are you okay? Did he touch you...?" he whispered, wrapping a protective arm around her waist.

Gibbs looked at him, "Do you want me to drag you back to NCIS and get a full body search?"

Catherine shook her head, "No, I'm okay Nicky" and kissed him real quick, and wrappedher arms around his neck.

Tony quieted, shaking his head as his eyes dropped to the ground at his feet. "Inside.. I have a spare kit inside," he said quietly. "We can process my clothing and myself.. Bag everything I have on me."

Tony seemed detatched, voice remaining somewhat neutral. "Help?" he questioned, pushing off the car and making his way to the appartment building with Gibbs. Other than his visage being blank, his hands were searching his pockets feverishly for his keys.

Gibbs walked with him, and kept an arm ready to catch him if he fell or anything, and smiled at him, "I think their in your left pocket"

Tony reached into his left coat pocket, feeling the cold metal of the keys at his fingertips. He fingered through his keys, movements slightly sluggish and clumsy while he found the appartment building key. Tony opened the glass-paned door, letting them both in then leading Gibbs down a hall. "Mind is on auto-pilot," he muttered as an excuse.

Gibbs nodded, "Nice place you have here DiNozzo, bring alot of girls here?" he winked at him, he wanted to help get Tony's mind off of everything, at least for a few minutes.

Tony tossed his keys onto the kitchen counter when they got into his place. He pried his gaze from the floor to look up at Gibbs. "Not really.." he replied quietly with a light shrug. He was about to remove his coat but he thought better of it for the moment.
