Bones #3: To Resist Is Futile

*accepts hug* Yeah, I kind of vanished. Heh. Oops. (I kept missing all of my shows, so then I didn't come on here so as not to be spoiled, and then all of a sudden I happened to catch CSI and remembered that I never came back on.)

It made more sense to me, but that was because it was the first one I remembered.

Are we assuming that the wedding at the end of the season is Daisy and Sweets, even though Daisy isn't a regular?

I'm hoping for that too, since I never liked their breakup (I didn't really see the point of doing that, honestly). It would certainly be good to finally get that wedding. I'm just curious as to how likely it is to have two engaged couples at one time on a show like this.

Anyone interested (yeah I know you are) you can go to this one site (umm you know the one ;) ) and see Five clips of the 100th ep

Have fun. I haven't seen them yet But I noticed there is a certain item of clothing that is being wore by a handsome guy.

Sweet! Something to distract me from my hopeless Wedges obsessing!

(Note that most of my quotes are probably far from verbatim.)
~"You think Sweets is going to panic and run into a wall?" "*look*" "Metaphorically, I get it."
~"Oh, his conclusion that we're in love? I don't care about that." Gee, is it because you secretly know it's true? :D
~"Which would give me the same number of doctorates as the two of you combined because you don't have any!" Hee.
~"That looks real." "...It is real."
~"Why me? I've only known you for a month!" Heh. Poor Angela.
~I love Booth's open-mouthed staring while Brennan's listing off the details about the girl. Boy had no idea what he was dealing with.

~I loved Brennan's smile when she was relating how Booth found out about her.
~Poor Angela.
~HA! Best. Experiment. EVER.
~"I have been wanting to do that for years! You are so hot!"
~"Watching you two together is like prom!"
~If they are just screwing with Sweets's head, I will be very upset with them. Because that was freaking awesome.
~"You fire the Jeffersonian already?" "Yes." "Hire 'em back."
~I <3 irritated Brennan.
~ I love them.
~Aw, poor Sweets.
~Oh my freaking God. I hate you. I freaking hate you. That's awful. I hate you. *goes into a corner to sulk*

Heartbroken and crying is not a good thing at all :(

I loved the episode, I really, really did...up until the last 40 seconds of the show. How could she deny him...why would she deny him. UGH!!! Not a good thing at all. My heart broke for Booth when she told him that she couldn't do it. And I started crying when Booth told her that he would be "that" guy. I want one of him.

I really do wonder how Brennan will take Booth moving on, my guess, its not gonna be too good.

Holy frelling frack. I was not expecting that last scene! Man oh man! It will be interesting to see where they go next, now that Booth has come clean. And now the long hard road of Brennan coming to realize he's the one for her too... Sigh. Well, it's a smart move. This toying with our emotions is what keeps us coming back for more!

I'm so pissed off at my two Thursday shows right now, it's ridiculous. I know you're right, Baba, this is a smart move for TPTB to make. It'll piss everyone off (like it did me) but it'll keep us coming back to see if Bones changes her mind (maybe too late, if Booth moves on). Regardless of how very strategic it was, my friend and I were basically shouting at the TV when Brennan pushed him away. It was just... UGH. Aggravating.

I just... I can't believe the reason she gave, that she "can't change" (bullcrap, she HAS changed and will continue to change) and I can't believe that he accepted it so easily (sure, he objected, like, twice, but he didn't even ask her to sit down, talk with him, anything). Booth loves their little heart to hearts and if EVER there was a time to discuss something seriously, to pay it the attention it deserves, it's a DECLARATION OF FREAKING LOVE. Ugh. I'm getting pissed off again.

Nevermind. I'm sure it'll all work out in the end. CLEARLY it will. TPTB just love to toy with us. What I'm worried about is Hodgins and Angela. I don't know whether or not they'll work out. They're not the main couple so they might not get the happy ending I think they deserve. That may be reserved for the stars. Then again, getting them back together has been hinted at for a while now (even while Ange is with Wendell).

I think the point of the "can't change" thing was that she doesn't think she can change, because she doesn't realize that she has all along. She's terrified that she'll screw something up and just hurt Booth even more. Which is bull, but I'm not sure that she completely understands that.

Although, I do agree that it's probably a good idea to piss us off in a way that pretty much guarantees that we won't stop watching. (Not that we were planning to)

I'm waiting for Angela to find out so she can slap Brennan upside the head. That would be nice.

'Bones' scoop: Is it over for Booth and Brennan?

Relax, Bones fans. Take a deep breath. It’s going to be okay. Although it seemed like tonight’s 100th episode forever closed the door on a Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) relationship — she basically rejected his romantic overture — the show’s producers insist the opposite is true.

“I think it opens it up in a whole new way,” maintains executive producer Stephen Nathan. “It gives us some history, which allows us to see all the additional possibilities that could occur between the two of them.” Adds series creator Hart Hanson: “We aren’t nervous about making them a couple, but we want it to play out in a way that is realistic for these two and that will make fans happy.

“Everybody always mentions Moonlighting, but that honestly never comes up in our discussions on how to deal with them,” Hanson continues. “The Moonlighting curse? Don’t believe in it. I think that was all about [Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd] hating each other’s guts. [David and Emily] do not hate each other.”

For her part, Deschanel believes that Brennan is just scared of getting hurt. “She says she doesn’t take the leap because she doesn’t know how she’ll feel in 10 years, but I think she is more scared about not knowing if he’ll feel the same in 10 years,” she theorizes. “She was abandoned as a child and those issues of abandonment fuel her every decision now. It permeates through every relationship she has. I think she is also scared that she’d lose his friendship and partnership at work — even though she does not say that. I think at some point — maybe in season 6 — she will just let go and fall.”

In the meantime, Deschanel reveals that next month’s season finale features a “big turning point for her and Booth,” while Hanson hints that the episode will “add some more pieces to the Booth Brennan puzzle… We actually have two finale-worthy episodes this season. One fell on the 100th episode [and] we do it again in the actual season finale.”

What a great episode. Happy 100th Bones!
It was great to see Zach back, and to watch him and Hodgins sparring. All the supporting characters were well represented here. Sweets was adoracble.
And so many great lines in this epi. I think they borrowed the CSI handbook on double entendres.

I expect Booth and Brennan to eventually get together; that last scene was surely heartbreaking, and well played by Emily and David. But, like Gil Grissom, somthing will happen that will make her see that she can change, and in fact has been changing all along. And it is all scientifically based; it's called evolution, Temperance!

Congrats Bones, and kudos to Boreanaz for great directing!

Haven't watched the ep yet. It sounds a little depressing honestly. But anyway sometimes I wonder if Brennan is a long lost relative of Grissom.

First of all, only the ending was really depressing. Second of all, that would be utterly hilarious and would be the best crossover ever. "You know, she kind of reminds me of someone. I can't quite place it though."

It's good, though, GNRF. Even if only for Sweets looking more and more disheveled as it goes on.
