Being A Southpaw (a.k.a. Left-handed)

Thanks WolfeWhistle for posting the link. :)

WoW! So many famous lefties throughout history! Did you know that Leonardo da Vinci was also famous for mirror writing?

A very interesting list of left-handed people. Some I knew about but some are surprises. What's interesting to note is that 3 US presidents in a row were left-handed.

Wow, that's a cool list! :D But why isn't Eddie Cahill in the left-handed actors section?

I didn't realize that Eddie Cahill is a lefty. I don't watch NY as much as the others, though, so I guess I've never seen him write or eat...but I agree, it's dumb that he isn't on the list.
Jonathan Togo is a lefty too, and he isn't on the list either...lame. *rolls eyes like fastfoodjunkie*

I'm pretty sure Eddie Cahill is a lefty as he was wearing his watch on his right hand in an interview and I'm sure I've seen him writing left-handed. I didn't know Jon Togo was but I don't watch Miami that much. . . *continues eye-rolling* :D

Definitely, Eddie Cahill is a lefty. Yes, he wears his watch on his right wrist. I've seen him write with his left hand in scenes as well. :D

Does anybody here wear his watch on his right wrist? As I previously mentioned, I wear mine on my left wrist. I've been taught to do so by my righty parents. And I find it more comfortable actually. :D

I am right handed but I am trying to learn how to write with my left hand. It is not easy. I want to be able to write with both hands.

I've always been alright with using scissors. I seem to be able to cut straight as well which I suppose is odd. I don't think I tie my laces differently to other people but then I don't spend my time studying how others do it so can;t be certain.
I wear my watch on my left wrist too. I don't know why, think it's more to do with my own preference rather than my parents influence. My left eye however is lazy so my right eye has the better sight.
I used to love it during sports lessons as there weren't many lefties in my year so whenever I stepped up for rounders it'd confuse the fielders. When it comes to football (soccer) I'm obviously very left footed but I've learnt over the years to do some things with my right foot like pass and dribble. Have even scored a couple of goals with my right foot.

Well, I'm the only lefty in my family (seriously, I think there is a distant aunt who is, but other than that, it's just me on either side of the family...), so my parents didn't influence that, but I wear watches on my left wrist, too. It would feel weird if I wore it on the other one...

WOW am I the only lefty who wears her watch on my right wrist.

My dad told me to, he's left handed also. He said it's easier to look down when you are writing to see what time it is.

I think it's personal preference on what hand you wear your watch on right or left-handed :)

I do use my right hand to cut with. I'm not sure how that came about, but I do better using my right hand.

I agree. I like my watch on my right hand just because I tyhink it is easier to look at. Sometimes it irritates people on certain hands.

That's really interesting! First time I've heard a righty wearing his watch on the right wrist...Anyway, glad to have all of you share your experiences! :)

Anyway, when I was a child and my Mom would bring me shopping for shoes, she would tell me to try the shoe on my left foot, reasoning that since I am a lefty, my left foot is bigger than my right...Anyone here experienced that?
