Re: A New Fight

Lindsay sighed. "Yeah, I'm fine, just a small cut from a glass he broke, but he didn't try to hurt me or anything, just get here as soon as you can, I'm going to go over the photos taken from the crime scene." she said before hanging up and taking the photos and examining them. There was an anti-mortem laceration on her arm, suggesting that maybe she was moving when she was being attacked, but then why wasn't there skin cells underneath her skin? Lindsay decided that they needed to try something when Flack got there. She changed into a white t-shirt, and looked over the photos again, noticing a bruise on the opposite arm of the laceration. Maybe she was held down by something or someone. Now she really needed Flack to get here.

Re: A New Fight

Flack was at the lab in ten minutes, walking into the examination room, smiling to Lindsay. "You called, master?" he said, eyeing the white t-shirt for a moment and then the crime scene photos. "So.. What exactly are we doing?" he asked, noticing a piece of glass under a chair on the far side of the room. Guessing that was from what Danny broke, also noticing Danny's coat thrown carelessly into a chair. Nonetheless, Flack looked Lindsay over carefully for a moment, making sure all she had was a cut finger.

Re: A New Fight

"I'm the victim, you're the killer." Lindsay said, point blank. "Here." she said as she handed him a fake knife with a bit of fake blood on it. "I think that the victim was down when he was killed. He seemed to be pinned down." She said as she laid down on the floor. "Put your knee on my right arm, and your left hand on my hand, pinning them down." She intructed, hoping Danny wouldn't walk in and take it the wrong way, but they were doing an experiment, so it wasn't like it was out of the norm.

Re: A New Fight

Flack looked over the pictures once, shifting the knife so the blade was pointing down rather than up. "Now.. which angle do you want to put me at? Over you or to your side?" Flack asked, kneeling down and applying light pressure to her one hand, pausing before he knelt on her arm. He was actually wondering himself if Danny would walk in, knowing the timing he had. But his guess was Danny was still furious.

Re: A New Fight

Lindsay thought for a minute. She put herself in the victims position. "Come straight down." she said. And as he swing the knife straight down on her, she moved to the side, making his knee fall off of her arm, and making her hand twist a little bit uncomfortably, but nothing she couldn't handle. She looked to her arm, and saw that it was the same cut that the victim had. "Okay, so he moved when our perp stabbed him the first time. Now, move your knee back onto my arm, and move your hand up on my opposite arm, and stab straight down." Lindsay had applied a patch of fake blood in her shirt so that it would make the cast off hopefully look like what the tee shirt looked like.

Re: A New Fight

Flack nodded, obeying her orders. He made sure to keep his weight somewhat light on her so as not to crush her, raising the fake knife and bringing it back down to her. Again, he was mostly gentle, but using enough force to pierce the packet to create cast off. When he was done he let the knife dangle a bit above her, letting some of the fake blood drip onto her shirt. "Would've looked something like that, right?" he asked, soon removing his knee and hand from her.

Re: A New Fight

Lindsay nodded. "Yeah, something like that. See, now when you moved your knee back into it's position, I think that's when the pen was dropped. Then when the blood pooled, he stepped in it before walking away." she told him. "Now help me up." she said as she held her hand out to him.

Re: A New Fight

Flack nodded, standing up before grabbing her hand and pulling her up. "Logical explination," he replied. "So the pattern matches," Flack then said, holding a picture up next to her shirt. "And the shirt being in the house is enough to go to court with now for sure. Even without the knife, we have enough to convict the guy."

Re: A New Fight

Linday smiled and took off the shirt, revealing an undershirt. "Thanks for you're helf Flack, I really needed it." she told him. She was glad that she had enough to convict the guy. Now all she needed was a court date. She was glad that she was finished with the case and now she could go home if she wanted, but she wasn't sure she was ready yet after what happened with Danny. "Hey, um, you up for a round at Sullivan's?" she asked, hoping he would accept because she didn't want to go home just yet.

Re: A New Fight

Flack looked away respectfully for a moment before looking back to her with a smile. "Sure. Sounds good to me," he replied.
---
Danny had finally cooled off enough to get his head back on straight, walking back to the evidence room and pushing the door open. He didn't say a word to either Flack or Lindsay, instead cleaning up the evidence when he saw that the reconstruction was done and the final notes had been taken. He didn't care that he missed the reconstruction or anything, instead just content with cleaning up and storing the evidence away for court later.
---
Flack looked over to Danny for a moment, noticing that the other man wasn't as angry as before, but not liking that the whole room was pitched into silence.

Re: A New Fight

Lindsay looked up to Flack and then turned to Danny. "We got him Danny, the spatter on the shirt is similar to the spatter that we just did in the experiment." she told him. She waved Flack off so that she could talk to Danny alone. She mouthed to him that she would meet him there, and then turned to Danny. "Are you okay now Danny? Do you want to talk about it?" she asked him, sounding concerned. She hoped he wouldn't snap at her again, seeing as right now she was emotionally broken from what he had put her through earlier. Even Flack had been able to notice just by the sound of her voice.

Re: A New Fight

Flack nodded to Lindsay. "Talk to you later, guys," he said before heading out to go clean up before heading over to Sullivan's.
---
Danny looked up for a moment, smiling weakly. "Good.. That's good," he replied to her first comment about the experiment. Danny was in the middle of hanging up the lab coat when Lindsay asked he was okay. "I am for the most part. Though, I don't think locker 108 can say the same," Danny forced a small laugh, raising his beaten knuckles for a moment. "Lindsay.. Probably what I'm gonna do.. is place a request to Mac to either take some time off or somethin'.. I don't know yet. I'm a loose cannon," he soon said, oddly calm.

Re: A New Fight

Lindsay nodded and walked over to him. She took his hands and looked at his knuckles. She ran her thumbs ofer them and just stared down at them for a while. "That sounds like a good idea Danny, and I'm glad you're taking the initiative to do that." she said calmly. She couldn't help it, she needed to hug him, right now. "I'm always here if you need me Danny, I love you, don't ever forget that." she said to him.

Re: A New Fight

"I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry," Danny appologized, wrapping his arms around her and bowing his head a bit. "I'm so sorry.." For some reason, Danny couldn't manage to say anything else. He could only appologize for putting her through that crap he pulled earlier.

Re: A New Fight

Lindsay rubbed his back. She wanted to cry right about now. "It's okay Danny, it's alright." she soothed as she held him close. She was just glad to be back in his arms, and she was glad that he was going to try to work things out. "I'll love you no matter what Danny, I'll never stop loving you." she said as a tear rolled down her cheek.
