Alex Carter/Det. Vartann #2

I just watched Flashpoint... wow that was great.
Alex did a phenomenal job!! I love to see him in different roles, different from the detective he plays on CSI.

After last night's episode... they better make him a recurring character.

Hopefully we'll see more of him in the new year. :D

Anyone know if Alex is working on another project?

I haven't seen his name on any upcoming CSI episodes. Hopefully Vartann at least will be mentioned before the end of the season.

Oh yesss, I am hoping they don't make him disappear like Det. Sofia Curtis. :( He's good with Catherine and they're cuuuuute together. ;)

Anyone catch Alex in the series finale of 24? I'm so needed caps of him with a scruffy beard!

And according to ericasj, we know Vartann's first name. ;)

From the Marg/Catherine thread....

HA! Finally know where the name Lou came from. I just had a look at the season 10 scripts and despite CSI's second companion book (which says Vartann's first name is Tony), his four episodes all have him listed as Detective Louis Vartann.

And am I missing something? What four episodes was he in this season? I counted three.

Interesting. How did a person even get hold of the scripts (who doesn't work for the show)? As far as I know, none of the scripts from season 10 are available for sale.

I want to know if it's Louis is pronounced Louis (as in Louis Armstrong) or Lewis.

And I hope they bump him up to more regular appearances next season. Vartann/Catherine flirting is excellent.

I hope we can see other side of Vartan different from his relationship with Catherine.Do not get me wrong,I LOVE him with her but knowing more about him will add some depth to his character.

I'd like to see more of him too. I said this on the VCR thread, about seeing him on a case he's conflicted about. It would be great to see them flesh out his character more and possibly bring in his son? Have something he has to deal with (possibly with his son committing a crime or involved in one).

Would be a nice turn of events if Catherine were the one to comfort him. :)

Do we know anything else about his personal life besides what he mentioned to Cath in the P. Sniffer? I don't recall anything else from preview seasons.

So...Vartann didn't kill Jack Bauer.....Alex Carter is a good actor.I think he should have a bigger role in 24.

LOL that's what I said. I was suprised to see him take on Jack Bauer.
Does anyone have caps of Scruffy Alex? I loved his look on 24. So different than the clean-shaven Vartann on CSI.

As for Vartann's personal life, I think it was all just up in the air. He was a guest character for a long while. It wasn't until he was brought back to be a love interest for Cath, that we got to see more of his character and backstory. I was shocked though to know that they aged him some and gave him a 21 year old son.

^^Thanks :)
I really am intrigued to know more about Vartann. He is a bit of a mystery. I think that bits and pieces through conversations like the one he had with Cath would be great to watch next season.

I agree. I would like to hear more about him. And yea, another good conversation with Catherine would be great to see. ;) Preferably about his son.
