a great guy.. Hodges

I haven't seen Room Service. The new season hasn't premiered in England yet. But if Hodges is in it, it should be a great episode.

Yeah, Hodges seemed pretty expendable in his first few appearances because he was *that* guy, the antisocial and sarcastic co-worker that makes the whole workplace go "ugh."

Fortunately, he has evolved from just being the dude who kisses Grissom's ass and tries to make the rest of the team look lazy, although that was fun, too. Here is a snippet:

(DAVID HODGES catches up with GRISSOM in the hallway. GRISSOM is reading
through a file.)

DAVID HODGES: Hey, boss. Just analyzed the evidence found in your vic's rent-
a-car.

GRISSOM: You should be telling Nick or Sara.

DAVID HODGES: (brushes it aside) Yeah, couldn't find them. They must be on
another break. Anyway, the blister pack is methadone. 40 milligrams, former
smack addict dose. (beat) And that ceramic chip? Not ceramic. It's acrylic
with a quartz resin composite used primarily in dental crowns. Cheap ones.

GRISSOM: Good work.

DAVID HODGES: Yeah, thank you. Listen, I'd like to think that and I ...

GRISSOM: Now go tell Nick or Sara.

(GRISSOM continues down the hallway leaving DAVID HODGES behind. He sighs.)

Count me in! I love Hodges! Great guy indeed. When I saw him in Invisible Evidence, I really liked him.. and although he is snarky most of the time.. he's just fun. Hodges in Room Service was just hilarious:

another scene when Hodges tries to impress GRissom is Compulsion (season5) [don't know the exact words but something like this]
Grisson: you sniffed it?
Hodges: does that discuss(sp?) you?
Grisson: no acutally it's the firs time you impressed me

and you can se Hodges fall apart... .. poor Hodges *hugs*
 
Hodges is really starting to grow on me

after the scene in G.D when he plays dukes of hazzard with greg and Room Service when he falls asleep- he just seems like so much more of down to earth guy instead of the know-it-all that we were first introduced to

i agree i didnt like him at first but every eppy i watch he grows on me
 
Count me in as another one who likes Hodges. I remember watching him a few years back when the actor was on Veronica's Closet. I liked him then too.
