It really depends on what you're looking to get from CSI. If you're just looking for random blood and guts with some cool problem solving, then just start watching any old episode. But if you're looking for long term, sometimes multi-season stretching storylines, then it's probably a good idea...

I really like the original. That's not to say that I don't love the other two, I just think that David Caruso is too much of a cop, like he's stuck in his "NYPD Blue" days. I also can't see Gary Sinise without thinking of Tom Hanks going, "Lieutenant Dan!"
