THE WELCOME WAGON: Welcome to General CSI Discussion!

Hi everyone. I am from Colorado and I have seen different episodes from all of the CSI's and I have fell in love with all of them. I start watching and I can't seem to stop watching. They are so addicting. I am not as familiar with CSI: Miami or CSI: NY as I am with CSI:LV.

Hi everyone :)

my name's Claire, aka Choups ;).
I'm French so I apologize for my bad english in advance ! but, there are no interesting boards in french about CSI NY, and this one sounds great, so here i am !

what else? i'm 23, live in Paris, and I use to be a big fan of dead shows such as Stargate SG1, Nash Bridges... and now Without A Trace, NCIS and of course CSI NY, I also like Las Vegas and Miami but NY is definitely my favorite !

well, you know everything about me now !

Bonjour and welcome to the nut house, Choups, KDKHm, and all other newbies. There are virtual croissnts and other imaginary snacks on the invisible table by the door. Wipe your feet on the welcome mat (to keep the server equipment clean), pull up a keyboard, and have fun.

Claire, your English is just fine. Probably better than some of us native Americans. Just curious (and I ask this of many new members): Do you watch the CSI shows in English with subtitles or are they dubbed into French by local actors? Would you know if the French voiceovers are similar to the voices of the actual performers?

Hi and thanks for your welcoming  it's nice.

I usually watch the show in English because I prefer to hear the real voices of the actors. and also because with translation, it's not always exactly the same meaning. So I watch in English, but I have to admit that I don't understand everything (no subtitles available) !! so sometimes I cheat (is that correct?) and turn it back to French ;)

the voiceovers are quite similar to the real ones. It's quite astonishing in a way; French actors do a great job on this.

thanks for the compliment on my English ;) I use simple sentences to try to make me understandable but my vocabulary is really poor !!
