CBS Attempts Record-Breaking ‘World CSI Day’

-------------------

After watching the sneak peeks, I think Cyber is going to need a little while to get settled. Things seemed a bit...I don't know, stilted maybe? I'm curious about the character dynamics, particularly Krumitz/Nelson and Avery/Elijah. I foresee Krumitz and Nelson becoming friendly pretty quickly, once Nelson starts to prove himself. I like the idea of Elijah being more of the action-man in this technological division, but I'm curious to see how tech-savvy (or not) he might actually be. I'm also curious about the character histories. Nelson is new, of course, but I wonder how long everyone else has been working together. The whole thing has to be pretty new, but still...

i dont know, i dont like at all this "tech" garbage that is really at all good present or real. What i hate a lot of CSI: New York or Miami, was all that "Tech" crap that was impossible for the time, like the big touch screens or even all this ways to track and find a criminal that i dont believe are possible in the real world.

Or even the projection of a 3D body in the 2007/2008/2009, for good sae that was cgi and you people were clear of that.

So that is my big issue with this, that they find the way to create another CSI show, they find the way to create another Warrick or Grissom.

Excited to catch the premiere of CSI: Cyber tonight. I'm guessing the theme song is "I Can See For Miles" if they stick with The Who.

If you love fiction/drama/cops show this is for you, but if you love the old CSI way of the detective work, the pictures, the face to face talks and a long etc of more grounded/realistic/cop show then this is not for you.

I dont like it, the characters are ok, but the story dont make sense and only show how many of police and tech things Zuiker knows, because yes so many things the Avery Ryan team do make sense and at less the bad guys make big mistakes.

But how everything is done, dont make sense at all, because first of all i have been in Deep Web sites and the only scene of this episode that was realistic about the baby thing is when the gang send the video of the baby of the floor that give the feeling, but the rest of everything was really no-sense.

The deep web dont work well in the US, yes they are some bussines down there in the web in US, but i dont thing a big thing like this will happen in the US, the deep web and in this case the baby or child porn things, happen more often in Europe and Asia because there is more simple to kidnap some one and is even more simple to "play" with that little kid.

So the idea is cool, but in this case this will not work in the US, is too cheesy and they have to get more dark, more complex, more incest things, more killings of childs, because the deep web is like that and this show fail to me.

Again i like more the things like "Blood Drops" when all the case is based in that the blood drops and at less there is even a child abuse element well done.

The show definitely isn't old-school CSI, but rather seemed to be a collection of old CBS procedural characters and scenes:

1. FBI gets to bogart any case they want (CM)
2. Semi-brooding lead with a mysterious past (Caruso)
3. Scruffy techno-dude who doesn't have to dress in FBI blue (5-0/CM)
4. Outrageously invasive technology (CSINY)
5. Forecsics in 2 minutes (CSIM)
6. Bad guy trying to turn good.
7. Random pretty girl stuck in the lab (Anna Belknap)
8. Concerned father-figure boss (NCIS, CSILV)

It was ok...just ok. And BTW, how did they get from Baltimore to upstate NY in 5 seconds? Did they teleport. Maybe Honest Abe knows.

So what happened with the couple. Did they just leave them in the car to drown after van der Beek dived in to save the baby whilst the other cops stood around watching?

The virtual autopsy was a joke. Lacked the chemistry of people like Super Dave, Doc Robbins and Ducky from NCIS.

Reminded me of the giant virtual head of Robert Carlyle in The World Is Not Enough. Have it on a computer, fine - but in 3D representation. It just didn't work.

Wasn't particularly interested in the case really either.

I might give it another shot next week but the plot does sound rather weak. Seems like it's all hacking which indicates a lack of variety.

Will be interesting to see how much the ratings drop.

I very like the episode but as you wrote, there was some very weird things, for me four things:
1. This teleportation - I was like "wh wh what? Well maybe I miss something"
2. Two bodies, report and poof
3. Autopsy with some kind of ... don't know... soldier?
4. Mundo saved kid. Ok. But what with this two leave in car?
Don't know if they thought that viewers are super hiper and connect all things and it's gonna be ok?
I will see next episodes cause sounds good, but some people decided to leave series and from 1.8 and 10.30 will go to 1.5 and 8.5mln

I decided to try it since my mom had recorded it and she liked it.

I have to admit, I'm not sure. I think it was okay but I can't see how they can make it a crime every week as to just hacking and cyber stuff.
