10-its a little grainy, and the text is oddly placed
7- the image is a little too grainy(although i do love the hand print brush)

26- i love the softness of the coloring and the texture use, and the little pops of color. its amazing
8- i love the coloring its gorgeous, and the text(with the splash of color behind it) fits very well. gorgeous icon.

10 - Text is oddly placed...the face is kind of dark and doesn't stand out well.
22 - Too dark...everything blends together.
27 - The image is too small (too much empty space) and the shading is a bit odd.

5 - The background is very interesting and has nice coloring that fits with the image.

14 - Images need to maintain aspect ratio when they are resized.
24 - It's good to experiment with color but Hue/Saturation controls only go so far. Also, if the crop hadn't been so tight the text wouldn't interrupt your subject matter

26 - Great use of negative space and an interesting crop.
27 - Great coloring, I'm not sure that last texture on there was necessary, but one way or the other it's original. There's nothing more refreshing than seeing originality and being able to see when someone just tried something different for a change. Kudos.
Wow a lot of votes, these do a lot better than the regular icon challenges in getting votes. And it also shows how different everyone's taste in. I've seen the best icons are getting the least favorite votes, whatever the reason it gives everyone a chance.

I apologize for not getting this done yesterday. I've been battling a migraine, which makes it difficult to look at a computer screen for more than a few minutes at a time. I'm feeling much better today. However, I had major problems with my photoshop program when I was trying to make banners. It took me about twice as long as usual to make them *grr*.
Also, as I was working on the banners, I decided that Mod's Choice was too boring, so I changed it Now it should be right up there with YouWowedQuoth, The Gah! Award, and AdzCollapsedInAwe, as we've had in previous LIMS :lol:
Alright, that's enough outta me. I won't make you wait any more
