Awesome! I have to admit that I expected the ratings to go down a little for the second episode, and I'm very happy that I was wrong. I hope the show continues to gain viewers throughout the season.
Miami dropped like two million viewers for it's second episode; I'm thrilled to see NY didn't follow that trend. This could be NY's year!
Woot, NY's ratings were up again! 5.03 "Turbulence" That's an average of 15.86 million viewers. The percentages for the 18-49 demo have stayed pretty even.
Once again, great news for NY! And we went up in the 2nd half, a lot of shows actually lose viewers after the first half hour, don't they? At any rate, very good showing!
:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw: R O T F L ! ! ! Best.Line.Ever!!! :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw: It's great to see this show doing so great. Usually, it's the 4th and 5th seasons of a show that do the best in ratings (except for anything that starts with the words Law & Order) during its run.
"Sex, Lies and Silicone" was on up against a World Series game, so I'm not sure how much that affected the final viewing numbers. 5.04 "Sex, Lies and Silicone" It was down more than a million viewers from "Turbulence", and it was down in 18-49 as well. For reference, it was the World Series that had higher 18-49 numbers:10:00 p.m. – Viewers: 14.40 million, A18-49: 4.7/12 10:30 p.m. – Viewers: 13.24 million, A18-49: 4.4/12So NY had more viewers than the WS but a lower 18-49 score. I'll be interested to see if the decline continues when the show isn't on up against baseball, or if it will go back to the kind of numbers it pulled for "Turbulence" - either way, 14.24 million is nothing to sneeze at!
I suspect that the drop was in large part due to the World Series. The show is doing really well this year! It's pulling in more viewers than CSI: Miami...almost as many as Grey's Anatomy!
Still up against the World Series - I'm hoping numbers go back up once baseball is over. 5.05 "The Cost of Living" From PI Feedback, as usual.
Yeah, I think a lot of the drop had to do with the World Series, but I guess we'll see how things go next week. Sweeps is starting, too--actually, I think the first night was tonight.
I think Law and Order is going to be back on up against NY soon. (And Life is moving opposite Criminal Minds - I love Life, but I don't know that this is going to help ratings for the show.)
