That would be the first episode of Season 1
    Blink.

you know where they find the woman that had been in the river...he's actually bending over her looking down at her.

Gorgeous pics, everyone. The 'file' one is hotttttttt, the man does look good in a tie though I prefer the open/unbuttoned look he has lately. But he looks mighty fine in 'formal' mode too!

bumblebee, I love all the pics you posted, especially the s1 ones. I must watch some s1 Mac...I'm planning to watch Blink tommorrow. Out of the many TV shows that sought to commemorate 9/11, I think Blink did it pretty nicely. That end shot of Mac at Ground Zero still chokes me up.:(
Of course, Blink is also a great episode because it's our first real glimpse of Mac. Even if he is all buttoned up and sad, it's a great episode, very defining for his character.

I wish I was called Mrs Taylor too.

    Ah...today is 9/11

Just going to say I'm sorry to anyone who lost people in the towers, I hope the pain is easing.

and to make it a legal post here in the Mac thread, I shall post some pics from Blink where Mac focused on his wife who incidentally died in the towers.

    Poor baby

    Comforting each other

    Hot!Mac before Claire died

Gorgeous pics, bumblebee. Blink always makes me so sad for Mac, and for all the people who really are in that situation of losing someone they loved that day. My deepest sympathy goes out to anyone who lost someone or who was there that day. We will never forget.

I love the scenes between Mac and the lady in the coma in Blink, how he talks to her and connects with her. Mac may think he never lets his emotions affect how he works a case, but he does, and he did even in s1, Blink being an example. I think one major way he changed is in s1 he seemed better at opening up emotionally to strangers, like the coma lady (he 'talked' to her about Claire) whereas in later seasons he allowed himself to open up with the people closest to him - his team. I think sometimes it is harder to open up to those you are closest to than with strangers, especially for someone like Mac. We were speculating earlier about his childhood, and if he was raised in a family where showing emotion was frowned upon or seen as weak, it could explain why he was initially reluctant to open up with his new 'family', the team, because he was worried they would see him as weak. I think he probably opened up a lot to Claire, and then she died, and so he was also worried that if he did open up to and show emotion to his friends, he might lose them too.
Of course, Stella was always the one to get Mac to open up in s1, I love how concerned she is for Mac in Blink.

    Now, picture time...

Our first 'official' glimpse of Mac (not counting Non Stop)

*runs to join queue* Oooh, so hot. Mac has such sexy hands. He can kill a man with his hands (Marine training) and do delicate experiments...and give massages.:drool: - that's such a hot combo!
I do love how Mac's a kick ass Marine and a scientist, what a hot combination. Criminals beware - not only can this man trace you from the tiniest thing you left at a crime scene, he can kick your sorry a**es too! I do think Mac is the best leader out of the 3. Gil is very much the Scientist (a cute one at that!) and H is very much the Action Hero, but our Mac is a bit of both. *sigh*

I think Mac is the best out of the three because he can look after himself in a fight, be emotional and be smart.
Gil Grissom like said before in episodes of CSI is like a robot, but in the coming season I can see our Mac having some competition.

and about H. Caine...I just dont like him lol :guffaw:

I agree with everything you say about Mac. I like Grissom too, even more so after they softened him up a little with the whole Sara thing. H...the sunglasses thing is annoying, but I like him.

Mac is my favourite though. He makes me :drool::drool::drool::drool: and think :devil::devil::devil::devil: thoughts.
