Okay I thought'd this thread would be a cool idea and help people listen to new and upcoming artists/bands! :)

A few that I can think of (may not all be new but fairly unknown):

- Starfield (Canadian, Christian music group, originally formed by brothers Tim and Jon Neufeld)
- Di-rect - (rock band from the Hague, Netherlands, which was first formed in 1999. The line up consists of Jamie Westland (drums), Frans "Spike" van Zoest (guitars), Bas van Wageningen (bass) and Tim Akkerman (vocals and guitars).)
-Cartel (oh yeah you'd be surprised to hear how many people go huh?! when I mention this band) (five-member American rock band from Conyers, Georgia)

and that's all I could think of for the moment but I'm sure everyone else can come up with more :).

-Jessie Daniels (christian pop/rock)
-Poets & Pornstars (You'd be surprised how many :wtf: looks I get from the name.)
-Silvertide
- For some reason, a lot of my (mostly American) friends haven't heard of 'Theory of a Dead Man'. They're not that obscure for a Canadian band.

Another Canadian band I love is Marianas Trench. Here they're popular but not in the States.
-Oh, Hush!
-Escape The Fate (none of my friends know them at least)
-Pencey Prep (they've broken up, but still)
-Sherwood
-Social Code (Canadian again)

I saw these bands live at The Eagles Club in Milwaukee a few years back, amazing! Infact the This Providence cd is currently in my car.

Hmm bands I think someone hasn't heard of....

Cowboy Mouth, they are a rock band from New Orleans, LA. The lead singer is also the drummer so Fred is always doing crazy things. One time is was putting his drum stick though the snare drum. They also do interactive studd like the fans getting to throw tootsie rolls and red spoons. Here is their website

Flogging Molly, an Irish Punk Rock band. Sometimes a bit hard to understand but the songs are great and the beat is amazing. Definetly something to listen to when relaxing or driving. :D

Pat McCurdy, he's a comedic singer and always a good time. He has crazy dances for his songs as well as making fun or various celebs in his show. Always good for a laugh.

Those are all the ones I can think of for now...too lazy to open the ITunes. :p

I know Flogging Molly! :D
I've seen them twice at Werchter (rock festival) They really knwo how to get a crowd moving

A few belgian bands that are really really worth listening to:

Arsenal - World music. These guys make you wanna dance  A few songs: "Suadade", "Switch", "Personne ne Bouge". They borrow singers from all over the world, so there are songs in English, French, Portuguese and even Chinese! :D

Hooverphonic - Calmer music. I put them on when I feel very down. "Vinegar and Salt" and "Eden" usually do the trick.

Woodface - A little more rock.

K's Choice - They split up now, but if there's one song you gotta hear it's "Not an addict". B-e-a-utiful.

Mintzkov - Damn good. Try "One equals a lot"

erm.. I'll be back with more :D
