    I have paper textures just like this, but I cannot make them bright like that...

    I was wondering what you set them to? I have Photoshop Elements 6.0 and they work when I use them on Multiply, but they're dark. Please help me, I love the way they look! :lol:

    i set them always to multiply and it works
    maybe you just have to copy the base and screen it or just brighten the base
    sometimes screencaps are too dark and you have to try a lot till they look good


    waht also could work is: you could make a brush/stamp from the texture,and just stamp it :D

    As dopebabygirl said, I set them to Multiply and it works. Of course, before I do so, I usually set the duplicated base to screen to lighten up the pic. And of course, it depends on the color of the "paper". If it is dark red or some other dark color, the icon looks dark as well, but if the paper is white or a light color, then it works nicely.

    Thank you dopebabygirl and cathwillows. I was playing with them again yesterday and I duplicated the base and set it to overlay on top of the paper texture. That helped quite a bit. The textures were a dark grey too, so that probably didn't help. But I finally got these:

    take a look at that one, there are a lot of good tutorials which could help you to work with your icons, or just google for icon tutorials that the way i used to work with and it helped a lot

    Luf - Great icons!! I love the H one its amazing! :D See those textures are great when you know how to work with 'em! :)

    dopebabygirl - again amazing icons! you just keep improving with every new batch *claps* Nice Job! :)

    Kat - amazing icons! I love the first Alex one but the effect on the H one is also very pretty! Nice Job!

    and just so everyone knows -whoever is interested.
    I did update my LJ with more icons, however none of CSI.
    This set contains David Cook ONLY.
    I will be posting more ryan/csi icons shortly. Again its a small batch but thats how I like to do my batches!

    Awesome David Cook ones shazza, I commented at your LJ! :D And thanks for the comment, the paper textures are awesome when you know how to use them!

    There are way too many more for me to comment on, but they all are really awesome, none I wouldn't use myself!

    I have three plus one! I AM NOT A RYAN/NATALIA SHIPPER! The pics and text brushes were just... there! I had to. xD Someone told me the last link looked CaRWashy too, which I also do not ship. :D I like DuDe though...

    Florry, I really like the coloring and the softness. It's a bit blurry, but I don't know if you were aiming for that effect. :) Great job!
