I agree Hh I just don't see Gil as Lindsey's father. In the fan fic world, I'm all for him being the dad. :)

I don't think the writers will go down that road, either. It would seem...weird to me. :lol: But some of those fics are really good and I did enjoy reading them despite not being a fan of the idea. Besides, in those fics, you get good smut. :devil:

Ooooh I love A Night at the Movies, too! That was so one of their annual dates. LOL.

I think someone is being checked secretly. ;)

I like the idea of Gil and Cath together when they were younger. He doesn't necessarily have to be Lindsey's dad.

You know what would make for an awesome episode of CSI? Remember Cath's friend Stephanie, who was killed when they were dancing together? They should really bring that up again in a new case and show what Grissom and Catherine were like back in the day. lol could you just see Greg, Nick, and Warrick's reactions if in the course of the investingation, they found out some really big secret between Griss and Cath?

This is just a historical overview of Cath & Gil, & the locations that were they're backgrounds, they didn't know each other when they were younger, as he was born and raised in Marina del Rey, CA. and then Minneapolis, and then taught in San Francisco, where as Cath grew up in Las Vegas, and they only met when the started working there together!

I think they probably knew each other quite well when they were younger. Besides, there's nothing to say they didn't. And we DO know that Gil gave Catherine her first job in the lab.

No offense, DW, but I don't put much stock in wikis. I find more often than not that they are incorrect because anyone can edit them.

I love how everyone's first deep dark secret thought is that Lindsey is Gil's kid! I love it :D

Anne, I love the PureJoy Dictionary. It's very funny :lol:
And I'm sure there are other gifts Gil gave to Cath over the years, the fetal pig stands out because it was a treasure of his. And, what ever happened to the Singing Bass above his door in Season 1? Did he give that to Cath too?

I never go by that Bio stuff. :lol:

You bring in new writers and they don't know the background of the characters.

As for flashbacks, to make the actors look very young or to use other actors, doesn't work for me. They just don't. :rolleyes:
Unless, these flashbacks were a part of a previous episode for example...TGTBATD where we see Heather whipping Sneller and talking to the Doc. Now that works! :)

Anyway, we need to see Cat and Gil out on the town.

Wasn't it in "Grissom vs. the Volcano" that they had a science fair together? Or did I totally misinterpret that scene? Either way, I think Cath and Gil knew each other when they were younger. It's shown. Besides, those bios have shown to be faulty all the time.

Actually a lot of people thought Grissom and Cat went to school together. That's not the case, he's older than Cat. It's just that the kid that beat out Cat's project used Red Ants. Gil used Black Ants.

CATHERINE: In fifth grade, I built one of these as my science fair project. It was awesome. First place should've been mine. But they ended up giving it to this kid with some lame red ant colony.

CATHERINE: (accusing) That was you.

GRISSOM: Yeah, only my ants were Black Argentinians.

CATHERINE: Uh-huh.

GRISSOM: I learned at a very early age that the bugs always win.

CATHERINE: Right.

(GRISSOM shrugs.)

I don't think they were at school at the same time, either. Their official bios in the CSI Companion Book state that Gil was born in 1956 and Catherine 1963. That makes Gil six to seven years older than Cath. I believe that Catherine was just saying the kid that had beat her in the science fair was Gil's type. :)

And no, I don't believe in wikis. Well, most of them anyway. The fact that anyone can edit a wiki makes most wikis unreliable in some way. Not to mention that the CSI wiki is heavily inclined to a certain ship that's not C/G and I certainly won't go there when I'm looking for C/G information. Again, in her official bio, Gil invited Catherine to work for the crime lab. In the season 3 episode The Execution of Catherine Willows, Catherine talked about being a rookie and breaking the John Mathers case 15 years ago. That means Cath and Gil had already known each other for at least 15 years in season 3, and 20 years until now. My resources are the official bio and the show itself. I believe they're much more reliable than a certain wiki. :)

And, *looks up to the poll*...we do have a new title. Since I'm bored at work now, I think I'm gonna go create the new thread. See you there. ;)
