Don't know if I should be worried or not?

And Gary tweeted last night a suggestion that the show won't be back.

I guess if anybody would know and have the 'inside scoop,' it would be Gary.

Also, CSI: Miami will end on April 8th, CSI: NY will probably run into May, as it comes back after hiatus on March 30th with ~5 episodes left to air...if that's saying anything.

NY will end in April if all episodes from March 31st on air without any repeats in between. Miami will end first because Sunday is considered the first day of the week, but NY will likely end five days later.

CBS has just said that its 4th quarter revenues are short of the estimate - no details, but not a hopeful sign...

That might not matter much though. They do seem to have quite a few cop shows so I think there will be a reduction in them.[/QUOTE]

From what I understand of tv in the US, cbs looks to have always been the home of crime shows. Will it really matter now that there are too many of them?

If it's money that it will come down to, I would guess miami does stand a better chance than most. It might not be the number 1 show in the world anymore, but it's still a big seller internationally. Money is money after all.

Can't help feeling that there might be less risk, and less cost, in making more of one of the old faithfuls, rather than chancing a new show - I mean, the infrastructure's all there, and the so is the fan base. But who knows?

An encouraging tweet from David:

Clarification. Miami "Season" Finale over. CSI Miami is as strong as ever. Stronger. Fear not.

There is definately more optimism in the miami camp than the new york one. Even if ever so slightly. Don't know whether that's because they're optimistic people, or whether, inspite of the uncertainty, they are stll getting good vibes from cbs. I hope it's the latter.

Well, they finished shooting a few weeks after NY did. They may have gotten some vibes for CBS.

I still think CSI NY will be getting the chopping block at the end of the season.
All due respect to CSI Miami..that show jumped the shark a long, long time ago. I just don't see how it's lower on the chopping block then NY.
