Just a reminder but I have only received entries from 4 participants! You only have 2 more days to get an icon in. If you haven't skipped do so or you will be withdrawn.

Okay guys, it looks like we're going to have three withdraws this week I have been waiting for 3 participants to enter and still haven't heard from them. I hate that this is happening because I feel that I give enough time to get icons in and I also give reminders half way through. Should I just use their skips or is that not fair in this type of challenge?

Well that sucks. I'd say if you don't hear from them then use their skips, and if you don't hear from them after that then they're out.

I don't know...the thing is, they do have until tomorrow to get their icons in (if I'm not mistaken) so you might hear from them yet. All hope is not lost, even if they haven't gotten back to you yet. :)

That being said, when we entered, we knew there'd be challenges every week. If one finds that they just can't make the commitment to continue entering, there would have ideally been some common courtesy to let you know and either use a skip or withdraw. Otherwise, if the skip wasn't used, obviously there was no plan to continue submitting icons so why offer them their skip? I know that if RL got in the way and I didn't have time to use my skip, I'd expect to be eliminated. *shrugs* It would seem to me, a bit illogical to eliminate someone (once the voting is over) who did take the time to submit an icon but give a second chance to those who didn't. Just my 0.02

Agreeeee with all of this. But they may still enter since they do have until tomorrow, you never know. I just sent mine in yesterday and almost did wait a bit longer. :lol:

Voting Rules: (Please read)
~ Absolutely anyone may vote! You don't have to be an 'expert' ;)
~ Vote for the Top 2 of least quality, and the Top 2 of best quality.
~ Votes for least quality Must have a reason, or they will not be counted. Reasons for both categories are highly encouraged, keep in mind that this is a great way to give feedback to help with what is good and what is bad about your icons, look at it as a wonderful way to get tips from others :)

(the following examples may have been "borrowed" from other sources)

Good Examples:
34: Text is oddly placed
50: Icon is over sharpened

Poor Examples:
52: Tiny text/decorative brushes are unreadable (it's supposed to be that way)
96: I don't like the color/text/brush etc (personal preference)
There's a difference between "constructive criticism" and plain out rude remarks when it comes to voting for an icon, choose your wording carefully ;) Remember to pm either me or one of the mods if you have any issue with voting

If those don't work, I no longer have access to Photobucket as it won't let me upload. So I have no choice then to choose either Tiny Pic or Imgur as I had issues with Imageshack not working for some people in the past as well.

I can see them fine and I'm using the latest Firefox.

I used to have this problem with an old version of Firefox. Have you tried another browser. If that doesn't work Urban Legend or myself might be able to email them.

04: The placement of the lettering seems a bit off, as the left-hand spacing differs on the first word and the word 'convince'. Had the word 'Logic' been pushed to the right a little more, it would have balanced out the spacing. The first word looks like it's about to fall off the icon, if that makes sense. Definitely try to leave some space open to the extreme left and extreme right if possible.
05: The lettering is really clear and concise, which is wonderful to look at. The division between planes (top and bottom), however makes the icon seem uneven with the amount of text that is there. If it was a texture, maybe finding a way to separate the text into both planes to even it out (playing with different fonts and sizes)?

5 - The empty space at the top doesn't seem to really add anything to the design.
3 - The art kind of overwhelms the text.
