Actually, there is a letter in the Cyrillic alphabet that symbolizes the "sh-ch" sound heard in the word "barszcz." That writing system isn't used in Polish though. I'm studying to speak Russian as a little thing to do. :)

I live in the US, but my dad's side is Polish and Ukrainian, so for holidays, we eat a lot of the foods mentioned. Pierogi- For Christmas Eve dinner, we make potato and cheese, cabbage, mushroom, and leckvar (sp?) pierogies. In fact, we have a day a few weeks before then called "Pierogi Day"...

I so want to come with everyone, but I'll be... in school. At my high school, incoming freshmen have to do two weeks of orientation (which is mandatory), then we start in early August. Blech. Besides, I'm broke.

I love Dr G: Medical Examiner! She's one of my role models and the show is pretty interesting. But most of the details during an autopsy are blurred out. Still, I'd definitely recommend the show to anyone who's interested in real life forensic pathology.

I'm torn about Rikki returning... the actress is really great, I'm just concerned about any Drama Llama this whole thing could stir up. Pregnancy? Yeah, it could work well if done without the whole love triangle soap opera cliche. But I hope other promising storylines and characters aren't...
