Still hard to see her as Hodges' mom. I rewatched The Two Mrs. Grissoms on Saturday where he says his mother 'snores like a bear'. Somehow I can't picture Ms. Smith doing that.

Pretending to be engaged to Morgan? That could be fun, but it makes me wish that Wendy were still on the show. :(
Looks like a pretty good episode, though. Hodges as a victim is always entertaining. :D

I still having trouble picturing Jacklyn Smith as Hodges too jafox.

Why in the world would Hodges tell his mother such a huge lie? Morgan is going to trap him in an elevator and leave him on purpose:lol: Wendy needs to come back and smack him upside the head.

It cracks me up that TV Guide calls Morgan his nemesis yet we have no idea why Morgan is mad at Hodges. I feel like I missed something.

Sounds like a good and funny episode.

Well we will know why Morgan dislikes him after this episode, for telling that lie she would.

I don't know why Hodges would do that either, but really it seems like something Hodges would do.

The story does sound a little silly to me though...and not a good silly.

Hodges and his mom are kidnapped?? This show....I don't know anymore.
Well, it is about Hodges. So it has to be a little incredulous. :)

I'm assuming this is 'Malice in Wonderland', so there should be another case.

I do feel like they are making better use of their supportive cast this season. Doc and Hodges are being featured in episodes where there is no Sara, for instance. Maybe we will meet Super Dave's wife next season; and a Brass episode is over due.

Same here :(

I wish they weren't getting kidnapped or put in peril, but could still be fun

I agree, it's not just the leads all the time like the last few years

I've been hoping they will redeem Brass after what happened last season, I'm beginning to wonder if it is ever going to happen :shifty:

Hodges tells his mom he's engaged to Morgan? :wtf: Have the writers been replaced by teen soap shows' writers or something? That seriously sounds like something from a show like 90210, not CSI. Good grief. I mean, it would work fine on a teen soap drama or maybe a sitcom, but not on CSI. Yeesh! Almost makes me want to skip the whole episode to be honest. I do have to say though that if Ecklie's in this episode, I would like to see his reaction to Hodges' fib.

Vega's son, huh? Interesting. I wonder who will be cast in that role. Not sure I like the whole thing with him and Finn flirting with each other. It feels like Cath/Lou part 2 or something lol.

Ecklie is, he was in a pic from Twitter

Ecklie is in the episode, Brass isn't.
Thanks for the head's up about no Brass :(

To redeem Brass they would have to believe that he needs redeeming and based on what the writer, Tom Mularz, said in his interview with vegaslights some time back they don't view what Brass did as wrong. So despite what some might think, to the writers Brass is still a good guy.

Tom Mularz said:
I think Brass, like a lot of law enforcement, believes there are darker sides than most people show. But Brass is a good guy, on the right side of the law — I don’t think he would knowingly disregard knowledge of a dirty cop. When he helped Langston out, in last year’s finale, he weighed the repercussions of his friend’s act and determined that Haskell brought his fate upon himself. Langston didn’t deserve to have his life ruined over it.
I'm still not happy at all about what happened in "In a Dark, Dark House", (or the preceding episode) purely for the fact that to me it went against everything the show stood for. For the first 11 seasons the show essentially preached "follow the evidence, the evidence never lies" and the fact that characters tried to manipulate the interpretation of the evidence or involve themselves in ridiculous cat-and-mouse chases pretty much threw the morals of the show under the bus. No matter who it was who was in the hotseat.

It's not the only reason why I despise that episode but it's the thing which bugged me most about last season's finale.
