You know you're famous when you've done a cameo on CSI...

I got some:

- Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Supernatural) appeared in CSI episode "All for Our Country"
- Doug Savant (Desperate Housewives) appeared in CSI episode "Swap Meet"
- Maggie Grace (Lost) appeared in CSI: Miami episode "Spring Break"
- John McEnroe appeared in CSI: NY episode "Comes Around"
- Danny Woodburn (Micky on Seinfeld) appeared in CSI episode "A Little Murder"
- Elizabeth Lackey (Heroes) appeared in CSI episode "Table Stakes" and on CSI: Miami episode "Complications"
- Heidi Klum (Project Runway) appeared on CSI: Miami episode "Blood Brothers"

Good Grief! All three of those people were WAY FAMOUS LONG BEFORE BEING ON CSI!

Doug Savant played Matt Fielding in 145 episodes of Melrose Place between 1992 and 1997. His character was the "token gay" LA charactor on the show. Doug Savant was probably forgotten by some folkas because after he left Melrose place, Doug unfortunately suffered the Harry Hamlin effect that used to plague straight actors who played Gay men--they don't get any good regular or starring work until 5 years after they've played a Gay Man. (Don't flame me as I don't condone this having happened in the past. However, Harry Hamlin was pretty much unable to get work after doing "Making Love" with Kate Jackson where he played a Gay man whom Kate Jackson's husband was messing around with. He didn't get a starring role again until LA Law rolled around about 5 years later.) Incidentally, Doug Savant left Melrose Place after 6 seasons because Fox REFUSED to let the show explore his character's love life--they also edited out his kiss with a man in the season finale of the 1994 season due to pressure from the network muckety mucks.

John McEnroe was notorious as "The Brat" of the Pro Tennis world with his temper tantrums at major tour events during the early 1980s.

Heidi Klum was a frigging supermodel for over a decade before she ever guest-starred on a CSI show!

My understanding of this thread was to point out actors who were NOT famous or didn't become breakout stars until AFTER they played a role on a CSI show. Am I wrong?!?!?!

Samaire Armstrong (The O.C.) appeared in the CSI:Miami episode "High Octane".

I saw that one recently, so that's all I can think of off the top of my head...

Obviously I can't speak for the person who started the thread, but I can note that the first name that person listed is Nelly Furtado. So, using deductive (rather than forensic ) reasoning, I think the intent is to name any "famous" person who has appeared in a CSI show, whether their appearance was before or because they are well known.

You don't have to explain to me that John McEnroe and Heidi Klum where famous before CSI, but they did gueststar on the show. And like LateToTheGame said: the person who started this thread named Nelly Furtado (very famous woman before her guest appearence).

Kevin Federline, probably more infamous than famous, was in Fannysmakin'.
Scott Wilson played Sam Braun as a recurring character. Pretty famous before CSi, but he also went on to do the movie Monster with Charlize Theron.

I've also recognized a lot of actors who have also appeared on Charmed.

I guess I missed Anthony Zuker(sp??). Did see Steve Baldwin, tho.

Soo when was AZ on? Repeat shows are on now, so maybe I can catch it.
AZ was in the following episodes:
Early Rollout (2004) TV Episode .... Security Guy
- Last Laugh (2003) TV Episode .... Heckler
- Ellie (2001) TV Episode .... Casino Cashier

Douglas Smith was on CSI Miami "Invasion" and CSI "The Unusual Suspect" and he is in Big Love and Matt Ross was in CSI Miami "Silencer" and he's in Big Love too.

Ok, there's a bit of confusion here, but really it was supposed to be any famous person to have appeared on CSI. I'm really sorry about the confusion...

Re: You know you're famous when you've done a cameo on CSI..

James Avery (uncle Phil from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air) appeared in CSI "Unfriendly Skies".

Re: You know you're famous when you've done a cameo on CSI..

So far I have only recognized Louise Lombard and Liev Schreiber, both at csi, Gary Sinise and Sonya Walger, the last two at csi: ny. Louise had actually one of the two leading parts in one of my favorite series "The House of Eliot" made in England. She had a little shorter hair there though. ;)

Re: You know you're famous when you've done a cameo on CSI..

Emily Procter who plays Calleigh on CSI: Miami appeared on Big Momma's House 2...
