You Know You Watch Too Much CSI: NY When... [#2]

3) you recognize guest stars that have been on CSI: NY on other shows

My mother asked me if I am going to make her visit a police station and/or crime lab when we are in NY in November, because if I am, see doesn't want to be associated with me. She thinks I'll start freaking out if I'm there for some reason.

My best friend and I have actually planned that we are going to take a tour of the "New York City Police Museum" while we are in NY. ( and I haven't filled in my mom about that yet either ;) )

On Thursday morning when my friend walks into the lounge ( from the opposite side of the room, mind you ) we just have to look at each other and we start laughing or talking about something that happened on CSI:NY last night. We get lots of dirty looks.

You list all of the near death and hostage situations that you could get into and decide that you would want to have Mac Taylor with you because he is always so darn calm during those types of things.

This one is based on something that happened to me once when I went to Tupelo, Mississippi. What happened involved The Monkees. This is the "You Know You Watch Too Much CSI: NY When..." take of it. I'll tell you what happened in Tupelo at the end of this post.

You Know You Watch Too Much CSI: NY When...
You're in a store that sells tvs-(Sears, Best Buy, Wal-Mart) and you hear Baba O'Reilly playing on the store's overhead speakers (the store's radio) and you're close to the tvs so you go to the tvs to see if they're showing an episode of CSI: NY on them. When you get to the tvs there's NO CSI: NY and you realize now that the song was coming from the store radio-(speakers in the ceiling).

What happened in Tupelo in the year 2000 with The Monkees's theme song was :guffaw:funny but embarrassing:eek:, I gotta tell you.
What happened was this:
My 1/2 brother who died in March 2004, mom and I were in Sears and suddenly I hear "Hey Hey We're the Monkees". It didn't dawn on me it was coming from overhead...from the speakers in the ceiling, the store's radio. I was close to the tvs so I went to tvs to see if Tupelo had a station we didn't have at home that was showing The Monkees. I got to the tvs, NO Monkees. Then it dawned on me it was coming from the speakers overhead in the ceiling. Like I said: :guffaw:funny but embarrassing:eek:.

ok let's see this is my thoughts about this:

You Know You Watch Too Much CSI:NY When...
: you're dreaming about CSI:NY every night
: you're moving only CSI pic with David Caruso from bedroom wall to wc wall
: you're cannot wait tuesdays evenings every week (in my country CSI show is in tuesdays)
: when you're refusing to go to basketball game because CSI is in the same time
: i'm telling my friends that my dream is to go to ny and become a csi
: i'm saving money for computer not for travelling

for now this should be all i could imagine...
if got some more i'll write it down here

You know you watch too much CSI: NY when...

your sister tells you while researching the college your cousin currently attends that it is the same as the one Eddie Cahill attended. My sister knows I've got a thing for Eddie. (It's Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, by the way)

You Know You Watch Too Much CSI:NY When...
: you secretly wish you're friends will become csi:ny fans
: you just saw Flack in your dream and you was talking with him and even you've woke up you can't forget this dream
: you ask your friend to get Baba O'Riley song and when you got it you put it repeat all the time

I guess I'm a little obsessed with CSI:NY :)

You know you watch too much CSI: NY when...
1) your friends know you can't go out on Wednesday nights
2) your mom buys you the seasons because she's sick of hearing about how your broke and NEED that certain season
3) your brother purposefully misnames theme song because he knows you'll freak out
4) the news has to take off the CSI: NY to show info about tornadoes or severe thunderstorms and you don't give a rip the storm is near just as long as you get your CSI: NY

~You have a song called "Boom" on your playlist (by SOAD) and have a quietly manic laugh to yourself everytime you hear it.
~Your parents enlist your help when they lose something.
~You offer to find the school vandal.
~You tell all your friends excitedly that Thursday is double CSI night (NZ) and then proceed to slap them silly when they roll theyr eyes at you.
~Everyone knows why Baba O'Riley is your favourite song by The Who.

you have the baba O´Riley song on your phone as a ring tone
you think when you get in a cap that you hope he is not a cappie killer
when your sister calls your and now that you are waching csi ny before you can say that you do

I got the inspiration for this one from 2 places. #1...Myself. #2...2 episodes of CSI: NY. The season 1 episode "The Closer" and the season 5 episode "The Cost of Living".

You seriously start thinking about learning Greek so when Stella says something in Greek you don't have to hope for subtitles or come here to Talk CSI and ask if someone can translate.

I'm seriously considering going to the local Books-A-Million and buying "learn to speak Greek" books. But then again, I'm also considering buying "learn sign language" books and books about Helen Keller. Yeah, I know. I'm fickle. I have a multitude of interests.
