You guys are harsh, lol. I kind of do think what they said was a cop-out on how non-finale-like the finale was. But in a way I see where they were coming from. If they hadn't answered the question about whether Brass died or not when the episode ended, wouldn't you have already known the answer to the question? They aren't going to kill off Brass! Duh!

As far as Sara and Grissom in the bedroom goes, how was that not shocking? If you didn't read any spoilers, you would have never expected that. If you did, I would like to know how.
