Well, when Grey's is even on, it's a repeat so I'm not surprised new episodes of shows would fare better.

Wow, three of my top fave shows getting the top 3 spots, that's great to see! :) And even though it was a rerun, CSI still did very good with #9.

Yhe smiley is because even in re-runs, CSI still beats "GA" mu-ha-ha :D and in our local paper, it said that this is the first time in 4 years, that NCIS has come in at #1, bet their stoked ;)

Maybe "NCIS" will start getting a little more respect now. It seems to be sort of the Rodney Daingerfield of TV shows. Despite nearly always being in the top 20 every week year round (most NCIS eps actually have higher viewerships during reruns than they do in their original airings) the cast of the show is rarely featured on magazine covers, talk shows, etc.
I think this is also probably the first time in my life that my favorite show has also been the top-rated show in America. I generally tend to like "cult hits" like "The X-Files" or "Dark Angel" rather than mega-popular shows. Guess my tastes are becoming more pedestrian in middle age.
BTW, I realize this is the CSI board and I *do* like both the NYC and Las Vegas versions of "CSI" (don't watch the Miami version) so no offense is intended. I just happen to think it's nice that "NCIS" gets to be number one at least once.
 
IslandGirl, no offense taken by me, that's for sure! I love NCIS, I think it's a great show with good storylines, well-developed characters and fun off-the-wall humor, and you're right, it doesn't always get the respect that *I* think it deserves. Seeing it come in as #1 is rewarding, as a huge fan. I'm sure the cast/crew is stoked, too. And being happy for another great show making good numbers isn't a slam at any of the CSI shows, it just means that there are a lot of good shows out there that we're fans of, and it's nice to see hard-working cast & show runners get rewarded once in awhile. :)
